Interesting fact about this car: It actually has 2 engines, one in the front and one in the back. Both are 2 cylinder opposed.

My attempt at creating the famous Shelby Cobra, which is one of my favourite cars.
It's not an easy car to make, due to the smooth curves of the original, always hard to recreate using LEGO parts.
I tried to put as much details as possible while keeping the curved shape. This includes a V8 engine under the hood, a detailed interior and blue racing stripes.
Stickers were applied. A Cobra without badges and racing number doesn't look so good.
I wanted to build it in blue with white stripes. However, the blue parts I needed are so hard to find.
It was finished just in time for this month's LUGNuts challenge: "The Animal Kingdom"

When you see this photo, you wouldn't think it was taken in Kuwait.

THIS IS NOT AN HDR

The Hala February carnival is an annual event in Kuwait where there are plenty of shows and entertainment for photographers and everyone else to enjoy.
it was supposed to be a blast for me, especially since there's a contest for best Hala February events photos and just plain having fun. That ship sailed when the weather turned really ugly in the form of a very bad dust storm (which happen often in Kuwait). while the whole week before the weather was fine.
That being said, I was already there with a friend with a table for showing our Modeling hobby and to sell some keychains and used video games. After some hesitation I took my camera out of the bag and started shooting here and there. Then I noticed some classic cars parked in front of a restaurant complex. I had neglected to bring my tripod because I thought I wouldn't need it here, but somehow I'm glad I did because I don't want all my work to be based on HDR. It's the only classic car there that I gave special attention to, because of the background it had, a classic car, plus that classic Krispy Kreme light sign and the words Since 1937 really complete this shot. It was lucky for me that the car was parked in that exact spot.
This is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, from the looks of it much was repainted and sadly even some places where there is supposed to be chrome linings. I'm not really sure if it's the exact model year but I've done some checking and I'm about %90 this is the 1967 model. This also obviously is a Drag Racer due to the fact it has really big Drag tires in the rear.
