Domiplan f=50mm 1:2.8
The "Domiplan 2.8/50" from Meyer-Optik in Görlitz was from 1960 until the end of the GDR "the" standard lens for many cameras from GDR production.
It was based on the "Trioplan 2.9/50" of the same company from 1940. Both lenses are "Triplets". The triplet design is a further development of the achromatic. In order to achieve higher light intensities at shorter focal lengths, a biconvex lens is split, pulled apart and a biconcave lens is placed in the gap. The triplet is widely used in viewfinder cameras but also in magnifying and projection lenses.
The name "Domiplan" was registered as a trademark in 1960. This year also saw the start of production of the lens at the "Feinoptik Werk Görlitz" (formerly Meyer-Optik). In 1968 the factory was integrated into the VEB Pentacon. The brand "Meyer-Optik Görlitz" was abandoned in 1971. At the same time the lens was renamed "Domiplan automatic lens".
At that time, "automatic" was understood to mean a lens/camera connection (spring/pressure aperture), which ensured that the lens only switched the preset aperture when the picture was taken. This made manual focusing with open aperture possible. In contrast to other designs, the "Domiplan" has no dipping button.
When using the lens on a DSLR, it is therefore only possible to photograph with an open aperture. Aperture settings can only be used if the aperture pin is locked, e.g. with superglue.
Throughout the entire production period, the technical data remained unchanged, including the high-quality frame, which is made entirely of metal. This speaks for the excellent work of the designers. But it also gives an idea of how difficult it was for innovations in the centrally controlled GDR planned economy.
And so it came about that the "Domiplan" became the world's most frequently produced lens with an M42 mount.

These dots are indicated in the viewfinder by one, two or three yellow dots which correspond to focussing zones on the lens.
Shutter: Compur leaf shutter, speeds: 1/30-1/500 +B, setting : ring and scale on the lens-shutter barrel
Shutter release: a lever, on the lens-shutter barrel
Cocking lever: also winds the film, long stroke, on the bottom plate
Frame counter: manual reset, additive type, window on the top-plate, setting:by a knob on the backof the top plate when pressing the small knob beside the counter window
Viewfinder: bright frame finder, with parallax correction lines
Exposure meter: Gossen Coupled Selenium cell meter, Shutter priority auto
Film speed range: ASA 10-1250, setting: ring and scale on the lens-shutter barrel, ring releases by pressing the small lever on it
Exposure setting: Set the desired speed then set to A on the aperture ring. Check the needle window that the needle must be between the red marks. If not, set new speeds. This needle show the aperture that set automatically.
In low light a "STOP" sign comes up in the viewfinder and the shutter is locked.

The redesigned R5 was officially called Supercinq. It was designed by Marcello Gandini for Studio Bertone and introduced in 1984.
The Super5 was face-lifted in May 1987 and received a new grille. This is still the first version.

Light metering system: Through-the-lens (TTL) full aperture metering (for FD lenses), using silicon photocell (SPC). Film loading arid flrst frame positioning: Automatic. Afler the film has been positioned and the back cover closed, the film is automatically advanced to the 1st usable frame and then automatically stopped. Three blank frames are advanced The frame counter display then reads "1".
Film advance: Advanced automatically by a built-in motor, enabling continuous shootiing Confirmation by floating bar mark in LCD display.
Film rewind: Automatic using built-in motor. Automatic stop afler film has been rewound into the cartridge. Rewind completion is indicated on LCD panel.
Frame Counter: Shown in the LCD digital display. Additive type with numbers 1-39, counts down during film rewind.
Back cover: Removable, with memo holder. Opened by sliding latch with safety lock.
Flash Contacts: Coupled directly to the camera by means of the X-contact on the accessory shoe.
Automatic flash: Program flash AE: With the Speedlite 277T. After radiating an infrared preflash to judge the distance and the reflectivity of the subject, the 277T sets the aperture and 1/90 sec shutter speed automatically. When out of shooting distance range (too far away), a warning is given, indicated by the aperture value flashing in the viewfinder.
Electronic flash AE: With the 277T in "F/NO. SET" mode, or with other Canon Speedlites, shutter speed is set automatically to X-sync and aperture to the f/stop tht has been set on the flash
Power source: Main power source: Two AA size (3V) batteries. Alkaline batteries are standard but Ni-Cd batteries may be used.
Memory back up: Built-in lithium battery (BR- 1225 or CR- 1220).
Battery life: approx. 5 years.
Power switch: The power is turned OFF by setting the mode selector (main switch) to "LOCK."
Battery check: By pressing the battery check (BC) button. Three energy levels are shown by bar marks in the LCD by three levels display.
Remote control: Possible. With three-terminal contact for remote control. Remote Switch 60T3 is required.

Sparta was founded in 1917 in Apeldoorn. Main business was the production of bicycles and later also three-wheel cargo bikes.
In 1931 the production of mopeds and motorbikes was added. Different engines were used, mainly from ILO, Sachs, Villiers and Victoria.
The last moped was made in 1982.
This Sparta Saxonette had automatic transmission but was nevertheless one of the cheapest Sparta models.
The quality of the picture is not that well. It's made with my old IPhone-4 because my own Cannon camera was broken at the time.

Das ist die „automatischere“ Version der C35. Bei der „automatic“ ist das flashmatic-System noch etwas ausgefeilter: Die Kamera erkennt, wenn ein Blitzgerät aufgesteckt ist und schaltet dann selbsttätig auf 1/30 Sek. um, auch sichtbar an einem Blitzsymbol im Sucher.
Es muss auch nicht mehr zwischen „Auto“ (für Tageslichtbetrieb) und dem Leitzahlenbereich umgeschaltet werden wie bei der „normalen“ C35. Es genügt, wenn „Auto“ auf die entsprechende Leitzahl zeigt. Bei aufgestecktem Blitz ist dann auf Blitzsynchronisation geschaltet und – bei abgeschalteter Belichtungsautomatik – der Entfernungsring mit der Blende gekuppelt. Ohne Blitz ist die Belichtungsautomatik wieder eingeschaltet, man muss nicht extra wieder auf „auto“ zurückdrehen.
Das klingt vielleicht komplizierter als es ist, bedeutet aber nur, dass bei Blitzbetrieb nicht mehr umgedacht werden muss: einfach Blitzgerät drauf und die "flashmatic" belichtet korrekt.
Ich habe auch noch die schwarze Version.
