I got my drobo in the mail. Squee!
In my best non-geeky terms: the drobo has slots for 4 hard drives, and automatically and continously backs up everything. So, if you have two hard drives in there, all your data is on both hard drives. if you have three hard drives, it mixes up where everything is stored, so you're maximizing the amount of space in there. If one hard drive ever dies, you can buy a new one, slap it in there and it automagically moves all the data onto the new drive.
Long story short: barring some sort of disaster that destroys the entire drobo, all my pictures, music and other important files are now safe.
(well, as soon as I set it up, cuz I haven't yet. iffles == lazy)

A sensor detects the ice-cream, from a distance of up to 6 metres, and opens the bin automagically. SB unit bounced off ceiling from camera left - SB far away from ceiling to give wider coverage (see the reflection in the lens)
Negative fill from camera left. Needed to find a better way of taking care of the specular on the top left iphone - could have moved the the light (bounce point off the ceiling) to change angle of incidence or inserted a cookie.

I ran across Ryan Brenizer's really cool technique and thought I would give it a try tonight. Instead of using Photoshop, I loaded and the 16 images taken with my Canon 70-200mm @ 200mm f2.8 ISO 1600 into Microsoft ICE.
Microsoft ICE automagically stitched the 16 jpgs together in about 2 minutes and this is the finished image with no editing! I can't wait to try this outside with a model!
