I was falling asleep at work today (getting up at 5 or 5:30 every day so far this week is wearing me out, man), so I tried to wake myself up by taking pictures at my desk. Here is the box my boss brought back from China for me, the one I keep my paper clips in. (Today's lens was the 100mm.)

From the holding lot a view of some taxis and the airport with the hotel going up attached to the terminal as well as a lightrail terminal.

Playing around in my office building. Love that downtown view.

While conducting a crack investigation at site one busy afternoon, I decided to document the daily work of the construction workers. It was indeed a humbling experience for me.

I looked out of my kitchen window to see this on top of a bungalow at the bottom of the garden. Looks like the bungalow is growing.

Took a few pictures of the men at work, trying out my new camera, really.

Here I am in the foyer of my workbuilding, in front of the board that

shows the occupants of the building. I have smooth hair. Don't faint (seeing as you normally see me with fairly wild, at least , not very neat hair) It will be smooth for approximately another 5.5 seconds after this photo, before it gets blown out, or falls out of the hair tie. I like how the white letters on the black board have strobed a bit.....

this trailer at the lab has been mostly abandoned for years. it's had water damage and is moldy, and is finally being hauled away to the junk yard. i had to sneak in a get a few shots before it was gone...

A basket full of... ustensils and napkins. Not very exciting but very useful, since this basket is sitting on the table in the kitchen at work!

The Ipod keeps Erik in touch with people back home. Here laying on the street representing its perfect ability to blend in with the background.

This is my cube. Small, but functional.

If possible, listen to positive, energetic music at work , with headphones.

A big advantage of headphones is that they prevent you from hearing distrubing noise.

Note that they also tend to discourage people from coming to ask you questions...

I've been using an empty classroom at work to prep for a class I'm going to be teaching. Someone went crazy with the posters in this one. The center one on top really disturbs me for some reason.

"As you can see, my mouth is full and I don't have opposable thumbs!"

First time using this top I bought in China. It's just the same model as the one I got for Jenny, only a smaller print and in brown and white.

No good deed goes unpunished...so they took a horrible picture of me...which I decided to share with you.
