This girl, Michelle, is throwing a paper airplane at Joe.

This appears to be a Grackle attempting to drive away a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. I had several more photos but these 4 were the best. I created this collage image using Photoshop Elements. I thought that joining the photos like this would give a better illustration of the interaction between these two birds. I was at the Columbus Zoo when I witnessed this incident overhead, carried out by two local birds!

Tigger attacking my finger as I try to take a multi-exposure HDR picture of her. Note to self: HDR pictures close to Tigger usually don’t work out...

The other side of Kings Ferry. Washington planned to attack this fort but only captured Stony Point. The plans for Verplank never came together and man power was short. Additionally the British were a few miles south in White Plains and could be mobilized fast. Washington Could not afford a defeat. After Stony Point was captured the troops at Verplank thought the gunfire was the sound of the Colonists being repelled, until they realized they British guns were not showering them with cannon balls. At one point it is reported thay 100 balls per hour were rained down on Verplank. THe Americans abandoned Stony Point a few days later and could not hold verplank either. However the defeat was difficult for the British. They no longer choked the Hudson and King's Ferry. Troops had to be moved to ensure the Americans didn't move further south to NYC. Tactically the defeat at Stony Point was a small victory, Along with Burgoyne's defeat at Saratoga it threw the British plans of conquering the Colonists by dividing them along the Hudson were evaporating. The French Entry into the war left the British fleet exposed unable to provide cover to the British forces. Washington wasn't going to come out of the hills and Sir Henry Clinton, a worthy foe, was not going to move soldiers inland, build bases, protect supply lines etc...especially since he was chronically short of man and supplies were short.

Ultimately the war would have to move south into its final phase that culminated in Yorkown.

Eagle attacked by small bird

This car has to be the nicest IS350s in the states!

he knows I've got a biscuit in my hand (Glen Brittle beach, Skye)

Found this at a local midnight madness sale. It was $3 and was the only cool thing there.

This is Prince (we call him Dope Boi Magic), my neighbor's dog. He's a bastard. He pees on me everytime I go to pet him. Moments after I took this picture of him springing on me, he peed on my leg - what a surprise.

On a side note, I LOVE Ilford HP5 Plus B&W film. This is the first roll of legitimate B&W film that I've put through my camera (I've been using Kodak color-negative black & white...gives me nasty red tones). This Ilford HP5 ISO 400 is a dream.
