The ship was under construction at San Francisco by Western Pipe and Steel Corporation for the Ithanian Steamship Company and had been laid down on 7th April 1941 as Yard No.62. I don't think that's the proper meaning of the phrase, "Take it to the mattresses." Still, it was fun as all get out!
A few days after the attack on the military camp, German bombers razed it, leaving the rest to the elite German division, the Sturmtruppe. Many SAS troops died, with only few German casualties. the majority of them were a because of a helicopter malfunction, causing it to fall with 17 men in it.
German casualties = 42
British casualties = 203
So while I was in the hospital, I got a lot of messages from people saying "If there's anything you need, just ask."
The thing I need is for people to come visit me for brief (like 5 minute, 'cause I can't stand up for much longer than that) portrait sessions, because I can't really go out and take pictures and I need pictures of the day.
Andrea was the first to be subjected to that, plus she brought me some tasty rice-and-veggie dishes she cooked up for me. Andrea is a good friend.

An entry for Loreos' LC3 on Classic-Castle.
A band of outlaws from the southern lands are sailing up Roawia's eastern coast in multiple light, swift vessels to raid the people of Loreos. This particular band are commonly known as the Grimson Skull, and are made up of Orks, Trolls, fell men and various outcast creatures, rejected by the three provinces. Here we see them launching a surprise attack on the small fortified post of Bardurk, Where the Loreesi soldiers rush to the beach to fight the outlaws in hand-to-hand combat. After all, Captain Lancorv, commander in charge of Bardurk, doesn't believe in firing arrows from the safety of his fortification's walls, he fights, as he puts it, "like a true Loreesi".

I had the following as a title: "Why Don't Y'all Title This One for Me? Hmmm?" My Flickr Friend suggested "Light Attack" and I think that is different and creative. So "Light Attack" it is.

So, there I was today, riding my Tesco's Value mountain bike cross-country, as I have been doing frequently of late - it is supposed to make you all fit and thin - stress free too...
Riding out of the town, past Kingfisher Lake on my way out to Thetford Forest...
... suddenly this raving Canada Goose launched into me - primary attack was on the rear wheel - I shuddered and looked back to see the feathers, dust, and chain oil mixing in my tracks. My initial thoughts were of concern for the crazed and perhaps now injured waterfowl .... but not for long as turned out.
The second attack came by air - as the beast launched itself into flight - I felt wings, webbed claws, and beak hammering and flapping on my back as I cycled along - changing gear up ... nearby, horrified anglers looked on - jaws dropped at the sight of me cycling along with this oversized duck hammering away at me...
Bring on that avian flu ;-)
