On the Sunday of our weekend away we went for a walk in Mount Aspiring National Park. We walked along the West Matukituki track. The scenery in the valley was beautiful so the walk was a little longer than expected.

The beautiful Northern Spire Bridge in Sunderland. Shot using live composite mode to stop the shot when I had the light trails I wanted. Was a bit scary getting this shot, as the paved central part is quite small, wouldn’t do it again.

Part of an abandoned logging trailer à la Ultrawide lens. A bit of a gritty hand at processing this one.... seemed to fit the subject.

UPDATED Feb 2011

It is now 2 years ago that I first displayed this image and it is a timely reminder of how far 'Julie' has developed over this period. From bath to leaving the house in my 'alter ego', now takes less than an hour, as it did 3 days ago, when i determined, at the 11th hour, to go out for the evening ...

Take an ordinary bloke, put him in a dress, apply makeup and set him before the camera and what do you get....... These two images were taken one hour apart..........

It is an amazing transformation, I think you would have to agree.

At age 65, with just 2 years experience in the CD world, I try and live every minute to the full. Growing old disgracefully fast.....

I am realistic enough to know that all this is a marvellous illusion, but we can all aspire to it. Shave off any woman's hair and dress her in drab clothes and there is very little difference from what us menfolk look like.

- Five Point O

Aspire, Inspire

Well I lied, I'm not totally sapped of inspiration. This one has been floating around in my head for a bit. I wanted to say thank you all for the views, favorites, and especially the wonderful comments! I really do appreciate it. So here are some bokeh hugs and kisses. Oh, and if your a male the X's are high-fives and the O's are fist bumps : )

This is five separate exposures combined in Photoshop. The bokeh was shot white and then adjusted with color overlay.
