Autumn color with Aspens turning - along the Ohio Pass road between Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado. The summit of Ohio Pass is 10076 feet and much of the road is unpaved and is closed in winter.

The deep, dark greens of blue spruce show off the bright golden greens of just-turning aspen trees in Summit County, Colorado.

The air was crisp, the breeze light, and the view outstanding. We were fortunate to capture Mount Moran on this great autumn morning as the aspen leaves were flittering to the ground.

Once a gold camp now a gambling town tucked away at 10,000 feet above sea level.

Another image from the beautiful Kane Valley.

I took this photo of an aspen grove during a hike around Barrier Lake in Kananaskis, AB ( Coordinates: goo.gl/maps/PGN2RGmSu5y ). I liked it so much, I had it blown up and mounted on canvas in a floating frame. I thought the result came out rather well :-)

Result below.

In a forest dressed in gold,

Autumn's tale is brightly told.

Love this time of year in Colorado! I believe this was taken on the side of I-70 through Vail.

First significant snow of the season. It was a beautiful morning.

Willow Creek Heights Hike

My schedule lately has not allowed me to get out and shoot; so I'll be posting some images from the recent past. This image was captured last month on a trip to Colorado. This stream is a little south of Cuchara, on the Highway of Legends.

Changing aspens in Colorado

Glorious aspen trees. Unfortunately, they don't grow where I live.

Day hiking around the Opus Hut at 12,000' with the Hero's Journey.

Autumn Color with Aspens turning - on Kebler Pass road (officially named GCR12 or Gunnison County Road 12) west of Crested Butte, Colorado. The summit of Kebler Pass is 10007 feet and most of the road is dirt and is closed in winter.

On the drive up Owl Creek Pass this wonderful formation (which shall remain nameless) was one of the many sites to delight our eyes.

The road is long, but worth every inch of beauty!

It might be part of Courthouse Mountain...(note to self write down where you are!)
