It's early morning in Sisters, OR" and I am out taking shots of the new morning. I found this little yellow flower seeming to be greeting the sun. It was a pretty spot.
This is my abstract impressionist rendition of a portion of a sketch I did in pencil. Walking my dog in the autumn, surrounded by the glorious colours was the inspiration for the colours I attached to the sketch. Can you see the falling aspen leaves? Can you see the wind-blown branches? Can you see the wet ground reflecting the intense sky? And so on...... This mosaic is created with stained glass and grout. And it took first place in a juried art show.
On West Dallas Creek Road the land on both sides is privately held. We can drive on it, but not leave the road. Darn! It's owned by Ralph Lauren. We decided the cattle all smell good, like Polo.
Autumn color along the Million Dollar Highway (US 550) portion of the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway in Colorado. The San Juan Skyway is an incredibly beautiful loop of designated Colorado State Highways covering 236 miles in Southwest Colorado. The portion of US 550 between Silverton and Ouray is most dramatic as it passes over Red Mountain at over 11000 feet.
Prescott Az fall color in the Bradshaw mountains south of town. We missed the peak, but did see some nice color. Most of these were taken on Walker Rd near the Senator Hwy intersection.
Aspens with fall color taken along Utah scenic Highway 12 on Boulder Mountain, elevation 9,000'. I maintained the horizontal framing of the original image but adjusted the crop to eliminate the dark (and distracting) tree trunks on the right.
I cant wait for spring.
For those expecting a moonshot.... Last night, too cloudy all day and night. I never saw it.
Tonight, I am still waiting for the 'partly cloudy' skies to give up the moon...
I love shooting Aspen trees as they make their seasonal transition. From Horseshoe Park in Rocky Mtn. NP
An image captured last fall during a foggy early morning visit to McQueen Lake. This image was taken later in the morning once the fog began to clear.
A road passing through an aspen grove in Mueller Sate Park. We were there a little for the peak of the fall colors, but it was still beautiful!
