We always like to take the Hollowwell
trail in Rocky Mt. National park because of the nice stand of aspen
trees. Third weekend of Sept. has
always been the peak time to see them, least for us. This was
taken with my Olympus C5050
Autumn color with Aspens turning - along the Ohio Pass road between Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado. The summit of Ohio Pass is 10076 feet and much of the road is unpaved and is closed in winter.
The deep, dark greens of blue spruce show off the bright golden greens of just-turning aspen trees in Summit County, Colorado.
The air was crisp, the breeze light, and the view outstanding. We were fortunate to capture Mount Moran on this great autumn morning as the aspen leaves were flittering to the ground.

I took this photo of an aspen grove during a hike around Barrier Lake in Kananaskis, AB ( Coordinates: goo.gl/maps/PGN2RGmSu5y ). I liked it so much, I had it blown up and mounted on canvas in a floating frame. I thought the result came out rather well :-)
