8:00 I made a snowman.

8:10 A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn’t make a snow woman.

8:15 So, I made a snow woman.

8:17 The nanny of the neighbours complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest.

8:20 The gay couple living nearby grumbled that it could have been two snowmen instead.

8:25 The vegans at No. 12 complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with.

8:28 I am being called a racist because the snow couple is white.

8:31 The Muslim gent across the road wants the snow woman to wear a headscarf.

8:40 Someone calls the cops who show up to see what’s going on.

8:42 I am told that the broomstick of the snowman needs to be removed because it could be used as a deadly weapon. Things get worse after I mutter : "Yeah, if it's up your ass"

8:52 My phone is seized and thoroughly checked while I am being blindfolded and flown to the police station in a helicopter.

9:00 I'm on the news as a suspected terrorist bent on stirring up trouble during this difficult weather.

9:10 I am asked if I have any accomplices.

9:29 A little known jihadist group has claimed it was their plot.

MORAL: When it's this cold, stay inside.

9:10 On me demande si j'ai des complices.

9:29 Un groupe djihadiste peu connu a prétendu que c'était leur complot.

MORALE : Quand il fait si froid, reste à l'intérieur.

Love Valley

The length of the Love Valley is 4900 meters. Although the entrance to the valley is not very suitable for vehicles, it is still accessible here. The moment you squeeze your teeth, you will be waiting for a beauty that will never regret you. Right after the landing, the water that comes in front will make your work difficult. However, the only time you have survived this short zone is to remove this pleasure. The most important feature of Cappadocia and the Love Valley and the elements that make this place wonderful are the fairy chimneys. Different sizes, colors, and even the impressive expression of light, these views will make you fall in love with yourself. It looks like the hats of the Smurfs we're fans of. Time travel between vineyards and fruit trees lasts approximately 2.5 hours. If you are accustomed to nature walks, you are sure to remember your moments happily after this region where you can finish in a short time with a slight tempo. But even if you say “I am not used to nature walking “, you will not even understand that you are tired of the beauty of the region. Whatever your choice, you will see it worth it.

Today's prompt asked for "Artwork you love". My wife and I both love the massive Kelpies. The 30m (100ft) high artwork was created by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott. They stand in Helix Park in Falkirk at the eastern end of the Forth & Clyde canal. They are made from steel and each one weighs over 300 tonnes. They were modelled on real Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron.

This is another shot from the last batch of images from my D5100. Since I now switched to Canon as my 2.nd camera, I guess I will find out if it is the camera or the monkey behind it which causes problems.

The image was taken in Asker last week around sunset. I have previously posted a shot from this location which I like a lot.

Due to the fact that the sun sets behind some hills, the glorious last rays can not be captured in Asker.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ok! Asking for some help: I have two Switch heads and I need to get them bodies. Those three are my favourites but I'm not sure about resin match. The easier one to get would be the Littlemonica one (as I can use layaway...) and Sadol's is beautiful too.

But I'm not sure about the sqlab one as the neck seems smaller...

Any help would be wonderful!

Since today was the coldest day we have had since May I though that the warmth of Jamaica might be appropriate! I took this one while sitting at the bar on evening, waiting for our dinner reservations. The clouds that we saw while we were there were some of the best I've ever seen!

As for the technical details of this shot, I processed it a while ago and can't remember all the treatment. I don't want to give a partial story, so I will skip them today!

I hope that you all have a great week!

I don't mind invitations, but please no big, shiny, flashing, glitter graphics, they will be deleted. Also, please contact me if you would like to use my pictures for any reason, as all rights are reserved. Thanks!

NIM and hear Session #41: Ask èm Y - 22.02.2024 - Jazzit Musik Club Salzburg

Dana contacted me about 2 weeks ago asking for family photos before her husband gets deployed for a year. I told her that the weekend before I bought this ugly/awesome Victorian settee and my vision was to use it in some grassy field towards sunset. She loved the idea, but since I only own a family sedan, had NO way of taking it anywhere. Luckily they owned a large truck and were willing to pick me and my couch up and drive 40min into the Malibu hills and set it up. We then packed it up and headed to the beach where we left it in the back of the truck across from Neptune’s Net and finished our photos at sunset. I was more concerned with people jacking my sofa than I was with the sunset, but we still managed to have a pretty good time overall.

The rest of their session can be found on my Facebook Fan Page. I’m only 23 likes away from 1000. Whoever is that special #1000 will get the top secret recipe for my morning coffee. Believe you me, that alone is worth almost $2.39 itself.

Also, I might be going to Indiana in a couple weeks. Anyone from around Indy?

The cosplayer asked if I could post this photo sooner rather than later. She is training for a bikini competition and her trainer wanted to re-post this on her business page to show the work her client (the cosplayer) has put in to reach her goals; in other words, free advertisement for her physical trainer.

I will admit, once she said "bikini competition," I looked over her the entire image and except for natural birthmarks, her suntan and skin tones matches up quite well.

Göremezsin sevdiğini

Koklayamazsın, sevemezsin

Elini saçlarına atıp okşayamazsın

Gözlerine bakıp hayallere dalamazsın

Elini tutup umuda doğru koşamazsın

Başın sevdasıyla dönerken yarin

Dizine koyup rahatlayamazsın

Beraberce bağırarak türkü söyleyemezsin

Dünyaya sevdiğini haykıramazsın

Kısacası sevdiğinle hiç bir şey yaşayamazsın

Sadece kalpleriniz birdir

Hayalleriniz birdir

Gönüller birdir.

Sevgiler birdir

İşte bu dur uzaktakini sevmek!

When I asked if I might take her photograph, Chelsey agreed. She hesitated, when I suggested that we sit by the tower. I wondered if she might be worried about getting her clothes dirty and offered that she could sit on my jacket. Chelsey asked if it would take long. Not at all, I replied. With that reassurance, Chelsey sat down where I had indicated.

Chelsey was not travelling alone, I am pretty sure that she confirmed that she was with a group. Chelsey told me that she was travelling with her husband, Chris. As he approached, I introduced myself and explained what I was doing.

I think that Chelsey had told me that she is spiritual and artistic, perhaps she said creative. As I tried to take photos, I realised that the light wasn’t great in the spot that I had chosen for us to sit. I had taken some nice shots in the same spot on other occasions. Today the sun was too high in the sky. I asked if it would be OK to move round into the shade. Chelsey agreed.

After taking a few shots in the shade of the tower, I asked if Chelsey would like me to take a photo with Chris in it too. She called to Chris, who was about 10 yards away. He was pleased to be photographed with Chelsey.

I suggested where they might stand and they arranged themselves. Often when taking photos of couples or groups, I have to ask them to move in nice and close. This wasn’t necessary with Chelsey and Chris as they naturally fitted themselves together for the photo.

I liked the photos of the couple so much that I wondered if I might make one of them my project submission. I thought of this after we had shared goodbyes but I saw that Chris and Chelsey hadn’t gone far. I asked Chris if he would be happy to be part of my project too. He agreed with a smile.

Chris told me that he is a musician and a bar tender. He was in a Japanese band for two years and spent much time in Japan. Chelsey came with him for part of the tour and got fully involved. Now they are living in New York City. Part of the attraction of the city is the chance to develop Chris’ music. He is working on composing soundtracks.

I toyed with the idea of asking Chris if I might take some portraits of him too but the couple seemed to be relaxed on the grass and I decided to leave them in peace.

Thank you Chelsey and Chris for being part of my project. It was great to meet you today. Best wishes for the rest of your holiday and for your life back home.

Bizi yönetenlerin her devirde yaptıkları hatalara, aldanmışlıklara, aldatılmışlıklara, kibirlere, ihtiraslara rağmen Vatanım diyoruz.

I asked to visit the Maternity hospital in Pyongyang, a big place in the country where most of the women come to deliver.

In fact, we just had the right to see some premature babies in a modern area of the hospital.

This is one of the main problem you meet in NK: you can just see what they allow you to see...

North Korea

In the Pyongyang maternity, the staff showed us a raw of boxes where, thay said, the fathers and family comes to talk to the mother after delivery. It is made to prevent from bacterias. We asked if everybody has to go thru this process, they said yes, but it seems strange.

The official speech:

The Pyongyang Maternity Hospital has been birthplace of at least 710 000 children since its foundation in 1980. More than 390 triplets and quadruplets were born and over 600 triplets have grown up there for the past 30 years since the birth of the first triplet in September 1980. Whenever triplets were born, Kim Jonng Il offered different kinds of gifts including not only clothes, blankets and nutritious food, but also clothes for their wedding dresses.

The day before yesterday (27 July 2012), I was thrilled to get the chance to photograph (telemacro) a beautiful Yellow Pond Lily. Four of us had travelled NW of Calgary to the Medicine River Wildlife Centre, to botanize the land around the Centre. Wonderfully, we were asked if we would like to go out on the pond/lagoon not far from the building. A pretty amazing feeling to paddle a canoe through the reeds and then over calm, open water. I've only ever seen Yellow Pond Lilies at one other location that we have botanized, and fell in love with them instantly. Thanks so much, Judy (staff member at the Centre) for spending the whole day with us and for giving us this great, unexpected experience!

This native, aquatic member of the Water-lily family grows in lakes and ponds June to August. The small, yellow flower is 4-7 cm across, has 6 yellow, petal-like sepals and several small, inconspicuous petals.

Aşk Bir Antik Kenttir

Geçmişte kalan günlerden

Bir yığın hüzün kalır elimizde

Ve artarak korkunçlaşan yalnızlık

Ve yaşanamamış hayaller

Kırgındır gönül yaşlıdır

Aşk ise uzaklarda kaybolan

Antik bir kenttir artık

In December I was asked to exhibit at Franklin Foto, a new community darkroom in St. Johns. I made this short video to show friends who don't live nearby.

Franklin Foto offers classes and darkroom time to people who want to learn film photography, so I chose images of the various ways I have made portraits of people over the last 50 years.

I recorded the music in the video in Richmond, Indiana in 2008, at the home of Carol Lou Woodward. Now in her 90's, Carol Lou is a weekly entertainer at Saigon Paris Bistro in Fort Myers, Florida.

some will live in road side but they are not born beggars.... their situation made them like that but also they are not begging for money they asking food to live.... try to help them ....

Namaste.

Geezzzzzzzzzzz

I know it's been ages since my last post for my 365 set.

To date, I have changed my rules to it so it's not necessarily a daily project now --- it's a 'whenever' kinda thing. LOL!

I had to ask the hubby as my reliable tripod for this. Mwah! ♥

We were at the beach today and surprisingly, Mr Sunset showed up --- so the hyperness in me could only quickly make this lousy pose. Hahahaha (I should do a better one next time, really! like tie my hair up and wear a tightier shirt. Hahaha)

So yeah, I'm still on my few weeks in Yoga (mainly to help my back pains) and can't curl up my head to reach my knees yet. Ahahaha But hey, this week, I am proud to finish my 5-day-yoga-pledge! Woot! Let's see how long I can do this. Teehee!!!

~~~
How's everyone's weekend?
Wish you all well!!!
