I asked for a Tequila shot, and after the naked goddess bartender served my drink, I noticed there was a worm in it! I suspected it may be a Pennsylvania forest worm, so I made the bartender show me the bottle (and took a pic). It was Monte Alban brand tequila. It stated on the label that it came "with agave worm". So the worm was real.
Therefore, this was a rare honor & opportunity bestowed upon me, and I would be foolish not to truck on through.
MAN that thing was chewy! I thought it would be chewy like a jelly bean, but it was chewy like fried calamari! What a trip!

BACKSTORY: Well, that was a crazy burn! So much shit I never expected to do, at WickerMan Burn 2016!
- Damaged Carolyn's car on the way in so that it permanently squeaks, except it got better by the time we left
- Ate a tequila worm (so much more chewing than you would imagine!) when naked-goddess-bartender poured me one, randomly. (I had to check that it wasn't something from the woods)
- Watched fireworks so dangerously close that I needed first aid for a burned eyeball (could this be why the vision in that eye went bad this year?)
- Learned to weave. On a loom. And wove some. Took video of weaving.
- worried about this spleen issue I have that is starting to feel less like a pain, and more like an actual tumor that you can distinctly feel on one side (still hurting as of 2017, CT Scan found nothing)
- controlled huge flamethrowers with laserbeams & buttons
- fun stuff on top of a 20-ft wooden ziggurat art installation (Carolyn was too scared to go up!)
- Watched a firework fireball zoom past Carolyn's head (she didn't even flinch) and catch the ground on fire 1 foot from her feet
- Made out with both members of a couple (beards can be soft?)
- Bounced in a moon bounce
- Saw Carolyn fall off a bounce-house ramp, tumbling in mid air, as onlookers screamed (one massage later, she's fine)
- Played with propane bubbles (cover hand, stick in fire, watch self burn) with zero regard for my safety or even knowing what they were ("other people aren't dying when they do this, so i'll do this, whatever this is. no, i won't ask anybody any questions about it or learn anything safety-related")
- Treated 2nd degree cooking burn with actual aloe leaves someone bundled up, just in case. Only had to walk 20 feet from my camp! No relation to previous bullet point.
- Tried [REDACTED]
- Used logical deduction to guide a damsel in distress to her campsite that she could not find, even though I had never been there. (If you want to flatter me, make me feel like Aragorn. I also accept pints of cherry tomatoes & great conversation)
- Received tons of compliments about my hair & badass cartoon shirt (and about my brain) (but I get that a lot... it's the others I'm not so used to)
- Worried about Andrea in rehab. Did all kinds of crazy things to maintain connectivity to check up on her. A lotta good that did. RIP, Andrea.
- Learned to always great one specific person with "Hi, Clint!" (Her name is not Clint. This is how she prefers greetings.)
- Wore My Little Pony boxer-briefs around strangers
- Sent video from the middle of the woods with a phone that only works when plugged in (tricky)
- Met the creator of games I've played for 15 yrs, & found out that the vintage set of game pieces my aunt found me in a thrift store are so rare that he was re-telling people about our set... Even when we weren't even there. So honored! To tell the man who invented Fluxx that you had the original Fluxx back when that was the only Fluxx you could get was awesome, too.
- But to make a reference to a specific episode of 2 Stupid Dogs to the creator of Fluxx, and have him know it and repeat it back... Wow.
- Chastised by Channy for not knowing how to spell my own name on facebook, becuase she wanted pictoral proof of my story that did not believe -- that the deer shit that came out of the deer when my Bonneville was totalled (while driving back from Dirk's) had splattered onto my car in the shape of Pluto the Dog's face. I totally sent her that picture!
- Lost 1 of 2 cameras, resulting in our pictures being quite incomplete (gee, real Burnery of whoever found it to not bother giving it back. If I find someone else's camera, I guess this means I'll have to keep it to break even?)
- Learned I can consistently inhale an entire nitrous oxide cartridge in one lungful
- Randomly given 2 beers by someone, only to ask to see her face, and, after introductions, us all realizing we already know each other already and are FB friends already (wtf?! what are the odds?!)
Saw a truck covered in fire driving down the mountain like nothing was going on. Overheard: "Are you seeing that? Is that real?"
Phew? Did I get everything? I don't know! One night, I never saw my camp during the night time, at all.

A 1980 GMC Caballero for sale on a trailer outside the swap meet. This is the more rare GMC variant on the Chevrolet El Camino. They were asking 400 coin (Bitcoin I assume) or $6,500.
I recieved a phonecall from a friend last night.... at 5pm.... sheepishly asking if it was too late to have a cake for her daughter's birthday today. Normally I would have said I couldn't do it... but for friends.. we stretch ourselves.. SO.... baked last night... and decorated today. My husband helped with two turrets... and the turret windows... and his endless suggestions on what I should do & how.... Well...... thank god we don't work together full time!!! LOL LOL

During there preformance the security guards wouldnt let me walk back and forth to shoot because there was to many crowd surfers and things beiing thrown throughout the crowd. So I was suck on the very far right of the stage up front taking pictures with the speaker right next to me also. Even with ear plugs in right next to it, it was extreamly loud. I was kinda pissed becasue I didnt get to move around and at Station 4 its super small. #Dislike
NW: "I think I see the cage!"
CW: "Alright, let's move."
We get near the gate and I'm surprised there are no traps. Joker probably thought it wouldn't be necessary. We stand in front of the gate.
NW: "Can you pick this lock, Selena?"
CW: "Are you really asking me this, sweety? It's like asking a cow if it can give milk."
NW: "Well sorry, but get going then."
CW: "Only because I want it myself, not because you're telling me to."
I get a call on my comlink and I see it's Kate.
NW: "Batwoman, how are you doing on the forcefield?"
BW: "We've found the source and taken it out. The forcefield is gone!"
NW: "Really? That's awesome!"
BW: "How are things in the city?"
NW: "Catwoman and I found Batman and the others underneath Arkham. Catwoman is now picking their cell lock."
BW: "That's amazing! How's it on the streets?"
NW: "Long story, but let me give you a little recap: we caught Black Mask and Joker, Joker deceived us and he's the third party, working together with the Court of Owls and Anarky, the Court had enlisted Enchantress to keep a forcefield around the city so there couldn't be any back-up, Arkham is now being overrun by Black Mask's remaining forces, and Penguin and Anarky are fighting their last battle on the streets."
BW: "Are you going to handle it? Creeper, Flamebird and I are still pretty far from the city. And when we get to the city, we won't be able to get to Arkham in time or the fight between Penguin and Anarky. The best we can do when we are in the city, is take down the thugs we encounter."
NW: "You guys have done enough. We'll handle Arkham and the final battle."
BW: "Good luck guys."
NW: "Thanks, Kate."
As soon as I hang up, I hear the door opening up. The door opens, and the first one I see is Barbara. She runs out of the cage and she jumps in my arms. I'm so happy I found her back again. I hear her crying a bit.
NW: "I'm so glad I found you back."
BG: "I thought I lost you."
NW: "You will never lose me."
I look over Barbara's shoulder and I see Bruce, but before I can say anything to him, Catwoman kisses him in full force. Barbara and I look at it and we honestly think they fit really well together. I see Tim stepping out of the cage. I let Babs go for a minute and I hug Tim.
NW: "Hey little man."
Rbn: "Hey man. We thought you weren't able to find us."
NW: "I was trained by the best."
I look at Bruce who's done tungwrestling with Selena.
BM: "I knew you would be able to find us."
NW: "You did?"
BM: "Of course."
We hug each other for a moment and in all the emotion, I say something I never expected.
NW: "I was afraid I lost you, dad."
It gets silent for a moment and Bruce looks me in the eyes.
BM: "What did you say?"
NW: "I think I said dad."
For the first time in forever I see Bruce tear up and he hugs me again for a brief moment. Than he turns to me and Selena.
BM: "So what happened in our absense. I guess nothing good."
NW: "Gangwar, between Penguin and Black Mask. I would love to form you in, but Arkham is being overrun by Black Mask's men right now, and I think Huntress and Azrael might be in trouble."
BG: "They're here too?"
NW: "Yeah. This whole period they haven't left my side."
BM: "That's good to hear. Let's go upstairs and help them."

After a long day of shooting in the first snowfall of the year, one that left nearly a foot of snow in a lot of areas, I was sent a message by a friend who informed me that the first NS grain train with run through power was to be delivered to Great Lakes Central at about midnight. That person is the one standing on the front of the locomotive, GLC engineer Matt Cox. He was very adamant that he wanted photos of it. The opportunity of waiting for the signal to enter CN track was not considered, but became an option and led to the opportunity to have him pose with the beast, which he was more than happy to do.

For this week's Me Again Monday theme "Word".
So many words came to mind, but when a random generator picked this one for me, it seemed perfect. I can't count the number of times a day I ask it. I love it when the instinctive answer is "why not?".

Explored!
if not, then why do you ask photographers what gear they shoot with to create their images? Is it NOT possible to create a stunning image unless you have a high-end super duper canon/nikon? the answer is NO.
just like you dont ask a painter what brand of paintbrush or paints he/she uses as their tools, why must you ask a photographer? are we all NOT artists?
I finally broke out the A100 after two months of ignoring it. MY GOD it's SO SIMPLISTIC compared to the A700. and small LOL
i was NOT use to shooting it again and am so glad I upgraded when i did. I do miss that little alpha though.
anyways this is my workhorse, an A700, a Sony HVLF56AM and the 16-105 DT Sony Lens.
I hope to get a better lens sooner or later. I rarely use the flash, I really need to learn how to use that thing.
