this is just a little part of a work that is originally about 6meters long and 17cm high.

i did it for a course, where we had the lection to do a self-portrayal just showing our articles of daily use.

From the onset the questions about the nature of humanity has always been a thing that comes from the mind of human beings as a group.

Talking about the traits of human characters; humane qualities and the aspect of our life.

What long-standing aspiration do you have? What Vision, ideas, or dreams do you today? What do you constantly imagine yourself doing? Meaning that is your motivation for doing it for positive or selfish interest?

What do you imagine yourself becoming? What do you likely or really desire to do that you may not have told anybody about it. That is, it may be something you think about a lot while you’re awake or at your work place and may be wishing to do something else for humanity instead of your current job.

TRAVIS CHILDERS (UN)NATURAL

Staplerscape, stapler, model material, foam, glue, 3" x 7" x 2", 2010

(UN) NATURAL, Travis

Childers' exhibition of sculpture and installation examines the

meaning of "nature" and how humans manipulate the natural world to

create fabricated environments. In Staplerscape, the artist

covers a stapler with a miniature landscape and examines the idea of

nature taking something back from man. He questions what would happen

if people disappeared from the earth, how soon would nature take

over? As in all of Childers' work, Staplerscape illuminates

an important, current issue through a clever re-purposing of

materials: Pressing on the stapler would destroy a fragile landscape

while posing a larger question: How do everyday actions impact the

global environment?

ELLEN CORNETT MENAGERIE

The Happy Marriage, pastel on paper, 34" x 26" , 2010

MENAGERIE, Ellen Cornett's series of pastel paintings, explores

contemporary social dilemmas through the world of fairy tales and

animals. Using her impressive drawing facility, the artist

juxtaposes vivid pastel paintings with unsettling content. One of

ten works on exhibit, The Happy Marriage, features two

chickens in a reversal of the usual barnyard pecking order. With

her claws extended, a hen stands on a rooster's back while he

appears bewildered. Cornett is deliberately vague about the meaning

of this work: Is the rooster a hen-pecked husband or is the hen-wife

hanging on for dear life? Either way, it's a wry commentary on

the modern marriage as a complicated balancing act.

MATT RAVENSTAHL GUILT

Slave Block (stills), digital video, 5 minutes, 2010

Matt Raventstahl's GUILT uses video and sculpture to expose

the internal experience of racism and blaming others. Slave

Block documents the artist wielding a sledgehammer as he attempts

to smash a marble replica of a slave auction block. The video

addresses both the punishing burden of slave labor and the artist's

attempt to free himself from white guilt. In a related installation,

Untitled, the remnants of the marble block have been gathered

into a pile.

Ravenstahl used the same stones in his second video, Throwing

Stones, which explores how guilt often leads to victimization.

The video documents the artist casting stones directly at the viewer.

As the video progresses, a Plexiglas wall separating the artist from

the viewer gradually scars, taking the focus of the camera from

the perpetrator to the wounds.

Coronation Day Supplement

June 2, 1953

I have a very old suitcase with lots of newspapers from 1953 celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

This originally belonged to my late nan and grandad.

Over the coming weeks, months there will be even more uploads, from advertisements to everything about the coronation.

I thought this was a fitting tribute to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, 2nd June 2012.

Keep an eye open, add me as a contact and you'll surely be the first to see them.

Please contact me first before using any of these pictures.

I hope you enjoy the set as much as I do.

Timi Yuro biography: www.flickr.com/people/timiyuro/

Timi Yuro was an Italian-American gal who could belt out a ballad with such power she could peel paint. She had an undeniable soulful quality but also a keen sense of jazz phrasing . . . as well as pulling r'n'b and country music into the mix. Her first big hit was Hurt in 1961 and she followed it with the equally good What's a Matter Baby (Is It Hurting You?) the following year. Timi Yuro a lady who possessed a tremendous and unique voice. She made some great records.

Timi Yuro returned to her Italian origins with the 1965 release "E poi verrà l' autunno" - "Ti Credo", recorded for entry in Italy's San Remo festival. Timi Yuro reached the half final and won an award for her performance. Timi appeared a second time at the San Remo festival in 1968 and sang "Le solite cose".

The casino Of San Remo is the oldest one in Italy, and has always shown a great passion for music. It housed, since it's birth the Italian San Remo festival, the "Domenica" and "Dopofestival" and many more events linked to the festival until 1976.

The San Remo Festival has always caused a tremendous outcry and this was also due to certain memorable episodes. For instance, several years ago Nunzio Filogamo (a famous Italian compere) simply could not stand the blunders made by his colleague Marisa Allasio and so he decided not to let her participate to the final night of the Festival. Sometimes the lyrics were thought to be too "explicit" - and this was the case of "Uno per tutte" (i.e., "One for all") by Tony Renis and Pericoli in 1962.

Funny episodes were also accompanied by upsetting and mysterious ones. Luigi Tenco (a famous Italian singer) committed suicide in his hotel room after knowing that his song had been eliminated. This event shocked and moved people deeply and its repercussions on the Festival audience lasted for quite some time. In recent years, something rather strange happened during the Festival. In 1996 a man tried to jump over the balcony in the Ariston Theatre so as to kill himself, but the compere managed to talk him into giving up his plan. At first, this episode caused emotion and sympathy, but then it all turned out to be a stunt and it thus ended with a lawsuit. Through the years the Festival has certainly been characterised by various episodes, which have also contributed to the establishment of a certain scent of mystery and fame that has always accompanied this great music event.

Nothing in life is as satisfying as parenthood. Below you will find a wide variety of tips to help you in the mysterious art of bringing up a child.

Clear some room on a counter near the sink, have your child lay down, and then run the faucet over his hair and skin. This can help alleviate the fear of being dunked and their dislike of water in their face.

When you are traveling with young children, try to keep familiar routines intact, such as meals and bedtime. Infants and children are often very stressed by the disruption of schedules traveling causes. To assist your child in feeling comfortable while traveling and ensure that all members of your party get a good night's sleep, be sure to observe established bedtime rituals.

It is natural for young children to have a hard time transitioning. When they must quickly change tasks, they can become stressed.

You need to spend some time alone, without your kids. Get a trusted family member or friend to care for you kids so you can enjoy your time without having to worry about them. You need to de-stress away from your kids, both for your sake and for theirs.

Establishing clear rules stated in positive language for family members to follow can be quite helpful in reducing conflict and helping your kids get along. Affirming words such as "Touch softly", can help children react positively to correction instead of phrases like "Stop hitting!".

Make sure your children have reflective materials on their backpacks or coats if they walk to school. You can find reflective material that can easily be applied with Velcro strips to any surface. With the reflective material, you will be protecting your child from accidents since they will be much more easily seen, especially during the early morning and evening.

After reading the above advice, you now have a good foundation to build a great parenting journey on. Just keep in mind that no one's being a parent experience is quite the same. There is no best way to raise a child that is always right. You will get the best out of these tips if you select the ones that correspond the best to your situation. Childhood is all too brief enjoy the exciting time you have while your children are still looking to you for guidance. yourparentingtips.com/top-faqs-about-teenage-violence-tow...

The chain was based in Seattle and had restaurants around Washington State. I made the corporate newsletter a few times including an energy saving suggestion.

A hot incandescent light was often forgotten and left on inside the walk in refrigerator. It's heat added to the work of the compressor cooling the space. I suggested a cooler light, or a timer to keep the light from being left on. Compact Fluorescent lights were just starting to come out on the market, back then, but they went with the timer. Today, there's LED lights and motion sensors.
