Pore-Fluid Array (PFA) retrieved from the methane seeps at ODP 889, 21 May 2010.
This instrument, developed by Jeff Chanton and Laura Lapham, uses OsmoSampler technology to collect and store pore-fluids at different depths in the sediments over time. The idea behind the PFA is to monitor pore-fluid salt and methane concentrations in order to observe hydrate formation or decomposition events, since hydrates exclude salts during formation.

High Altar: the work here is high quality Warham Guild, I would guess of 1930s vintage. Motifs match very closely work at Canterbury, Westminster, Primrose Hill and several other places, and the frontal was almost certainly produced by Miss A Jones from Primrose Hill, who carried out most of this work for the Warham Guild.
It was a beautiful day near Socorro, New Mexico, when we drove to the array last August. The area had seen a lot of rain over the summer, and as such it was covered with wildflowers -- very unusual.
