CAMP WALKER - Thursday July 2, the 501st Sustainment Brigade hosted a golf tournament. Te tournament was held at the evergreen for Soldiers and Civilians to have a little fun and show of their skills.

SJ19 is an exercise involving nearly 5,400 participants from 16 ally and partner nations at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, Sept. 3 to Sept. 30, 2019. SJ19 is designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade to execute land operations in a joint, combined environment and to promote interoperability with participating allies and partner nations.

Before carrying out an indoor firing range training evolution as part of the Installation Management Command, Directorate-Europe's (IMCOM-E) Best Warrior Competition 2020.

 

The four-day competition began Mar. 1, 2020 at U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart. Over three days of exercises, candidates will march, shoot, fight and run to determine who is IMCOM-E's BEST WARRIOR, who will then go on to compete at the U.S. Army Level in Texas.

On October 26-27, 2016, Command Sgt. Maj. James P. Wills, U.S. Army Reserve Command interim command sergeant major, held a command sergeants major advisory board at Fort Devens Base Camp Integration Lab. The two-day board gave the members a chance to focus on soldierâs issues while building comrade among the team.

A NEO is an operation whereby noncombatant evacuees are evacuated from a threatened area abroad, which includes areas facing actual or potential danger from natural or manmade disaster, civil unrest, imminent or actual terrorist activities, hostilities, and similar circumstances, that is carried out with the assistance of the Department of Defense.

The Commanding General’s 2018 Spring Company Commanders Staff Ride took place over 12-14th March and visited the Historical First World War battle sites around Liege, Belgium and Verdun, France.

 

The Mission of the staff ride was to provide selected Junior Officers a professional development opportunity that was highlighted by senior officer mentoring.

 

During the staff ride participants were able to walk the terrain of actual battle sites to discuss and examine tactical decision making and the evolution of those tactics as the war progressed. Participants also analyzed the American Expeditionary Forces involvement during the war and gained a greater appreciation of the human dimension of soldiering.

 

The sites visited included the forts of Barchon and Douamont as well as war memorials such as Voie Sacree, Montfaucon and Montsec as well as the American Cemeteries.
