The Euphrasian Basilica (Croatian: Eufrazijeva bazilika, Italian: Basilica Eufrasiana) is a basilica in Poreč, Croatia. It has been listed on the UNESCO World heritage since 1997.
The episcopal complex, including, apart the basilica itself, a sacristy, a baptistery and the bell tower of the nearby archbishop's palace, is one of the best examples of early Byzantine architecture in the Mediterranean region.
The present basilica, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was built in the sixth century during the period of Bishop Euphrasius. It was built from 553 on the site of the older basilica that had become dilapidated.
Following the earthquake of 1440 the southern wall of the central nave of the basilica was restored, so that in place of the windows which were destroyed, other were built in the Gothic style.
The wall mosaics were executed by Byzantian masters and the floor mosaics by local experts. The construction took about ten years. Euphrasius, holding the church in his arms, is represented on one of the mosaics on the apse, next to St. Maurus.

The year of its foundation is unknown, but judging by the architecture, it happened in 1620-1700. So it can be argued that the Church of the Introduction is more ancient than all the other churches preserved in Torzhok.
Год её основания неизвестен, но, судя по архитектуре, это произошло в 1620–1700 годах. Так что можно утверждать, что церковь Введения древнее всех других сохранившихся в Торжке церквей.

Hauptmann House was built in 1873. It was one of the city's few buildings to survive the great earthquake of 1895 almost unharmed. After the earthquake, it was bought by the local paint merchant Adolf Hauptmann, who commissioned the architect Ciril Metod Koch to redesign the façade and roof.
The house was rebuilt in 1904 in the Viennese Secession style, fashionable at the time. The façade was decorated with a geometric pattern of coloured ceramic tiles in contrasting green, blue and red tones.

St. Mary's is the church of the Council of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. The brick basilica serves as a model for the Gothic brick style of churches in the Baltic region. For the first time, the Gothic cathedral style of France was adapted to the local brick.
Numerous works of arts are to be found in St. Mary's interior: The Cross of Triumph by Gerhard Marcks in the high choir above the Swarte Altar from 1495 is as much at home here as the largest mechanical organ in the world. The well-known church musician and composer Dietrich Buxtehude was St. Mary's organist and work master from 1667 to 1707.
The commemorative chapel in the south tower with its church bells possesses a unique expressive power. The bells plunged to the stone floor during the 1942 air raids. The Gothic brick basilica has a medieval painting, the largest peel of bells in Schleswig-Holstein and a carillon with 36 bells from St. Catherine's Church in Danzig.

Otto Wagner, the pioneering architect of Vienna's Art Nouveau era, was the designer in charge of the construction of Stadtbahn, a rail service running underground in some sections, as an elevated system in others, around 1900.
The Art Nouveau pavilions were erected in 1898 in the course of Stadtbahn construction. Otto Wagner planned two portal buildings of identical design. Today, in summer, the Wien Museum uses the west pavilion and the other one is a café.

The Century Club Building is a George D. Mason design built in 1903. It adjoins the Gem Theater, also by Mason. Both buildings were saved when they were moved a few blocks so that Comerica Park could be built.
