Palais royal de Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Kings of Cambodia have occupied it since it was built in the 1860s, with a period of absence when the country came into turmoil during and after the reign of the Khmer Rouge. An example of Khmer architecture with a slight French touch.
This image makes me think of the solitude experienced by lightkeepers on long winter nights on the North Atlantic Coast. There is not much warmth, and only the single light to keep you company.

L'Àgora, City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia, Spain
Taken on the day I arrived in Valencia. Sun was shining brightly so I knew in advance anything I took was going to become B&W images. The shadows from the Science Museum supports drew my eye here so it was a case of trying to work out the composition and avoid having too many pedestrians in the shot.
L'Àgora is a multifunctional covered space designed by Santiago Calatrava. The building has a height of 70 m (230 ft) and occupies 5,000 m2 of space with an open ground plan resembling a pointed ellipse about 88 m (289 ft) long and 66 m (217 ft) wide. Depending on the configuration of the space, a maximum seating capacity for 6,075 people can be reached.
The building is a diaphanous large arena, with a glass roof along its spine and a movable structure to control the overhead natural light. The tall white steel rib-cage arches give the interior space an organic element, whereas the exterior is geometric and abstract, in day or when illuminated at night (Wikipedia).

Close your eyes for a moment and picture a walled medieval village, with no modern buildings, completely unaffected by the passing of time. Now open and rejoice in the fact that a place like this still exists

On the junction of Vauxhall Bridge and Millbank in the City of Westminster, there is a high-quality residential apartment block called Riverwalk. Designed by Stanton Williams Architects and completed in 2016, this award-winning development is a collection of highly specified 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and penthouses with a focus on light, space and service, as well as exceptional views across the River Thames.
Spread across two organically shaped buildings, the 116 apartments are ideally located in prime central London, moments from Tate Britain and a broad range of cultural and shopping amenities.
