Hamburger Mary's
The most visible establishment at the north entrance to Bay View. This corner has a long history of failed attempts, but HM's has survived for awhile now. Despite being a rather noticeable shade of lavender, the building is less important than the sign. But where else can you get a tasty burger, a tasty drink, and Drag Queen Bingo all in one place?
Edit: Now a block of condos.

Vanguard
Opened in 2014 in what was the Home Bar. The owners met through their respective bands while on tour. There is quite the bar scene history here as one of the owners managed The Cactus Club (#3 in this series), another, Delilah's in Chicago, and numerous others. More proof that the Milwaukee/Chicago music scene is a family-style affair. And if you like a good sausage, you pretty much need to stop here for a meal.

Frank's Power Plant
While I keep wanting to believe that there is some real, interesting history behind this 1925 building, but it's historic use is listed as tavern/bar, and I can't find anymore about it. Now it's one of Bay View's more active music rooms with several shows a week. Everything from metal to surf to djs.

Wayward Kitchen & Bar
Formerly Who's on First (I even remember that), then Mona's Nightclub, Wayward was opened in 2014. Funny that one of the owners cooked there when it was Who's on First. Somewhat mixed reviews, but they all have that don't they? A quiet little place in Milwaukee's 5th ward.

Roman's Pub
I've been out and away from this for too long. Stupid broken rib. But getting back to it now.
An 1885 stagecoach stop and roadhouse, and, like so many others in this initial offering, spent prohibition as a speakeasy. Now boasts thirty rotating draft selections.
