This Queen Anne Victorian had seen better days when its location was slated to be used as a parking garage. Fortunately, the town of Blacksburg, Virginia along with the Blacksburg Museum Foundation chose to move the house and restore it. Die Bastei ist ein Bauwerk in Köln-Neustadt-Nord, gelegen am nördlichen Ende der Kölner Ringe direkt am Rheinufer. Seit seiner Eröffnung am 22. Oktober 1924 diente der Bau mit einer Nutzfläche von 300 m² als Aussichtsrestaurant.

Das Clubhaus für den St. Moritz Tobogganing Club (Cresta Run) wurde 1962 erbaut und fertiggestellt. Der Architekt des Hauptgebäudes war Annibale Fiocchi (1915-2011), der vor allem für den Olivetti-Hauptsitz in Mailand bekannt ist. Der St. Moritz Tobogganing Club wurde 1885 gegründet. Vor dem Bau der Anlage war der Club in einfachen, handwerklichen Holzbauten entlang der Bahn untergebracht. Der Verbindungsbau wurde in den 1990er Jahren vom lokalen Architekten Heinz Reber errichtet.
Die Cresta-Bahn selbst wurde 1884 gebaut und wird jeden Winter aus Natureis hergestellt. Das in den Hang eingebettete Clubhaus ist im typischen Art-déco-Stil gebaut, mit abgerundeten Ecken und einem 180-Grad-Fensterband, das einen hervorragenden Blick auf die Bahn bietet. Abgerundet wird es durch ein Flachdach, das den Zuschauern als Terrasse dient. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich Umkleideräume, während im ersten Stock eine Bar, ein Büro und ein Shop für Mitglieder und Fahrer untergebracht sind. Über dem Gebäude erhebt sich der ikonische Turm, von dem aus das Rennen kontrolliert wird und der einen freien Blick auf das Tal und die Umgebung bietet. Später wurden subtile Innenrenovierungen von Matteo Thun durchgeführt. Die Konstruktion besteht hauptsächlich aus Beton und Mauerwerk und ist weiß gestrichen mit zusätzlichen Elementen in den Clubfarben Kastanienbraun und Gold. Der Zugang zum Clubhaus erfolgt von der Junction-Hütte aus über eine Verbindungsbrücke, die den Startbereich der Junction einrahmt.

La rue Thévenard rappelle le souvenir d’Antoine Jean-Marie Thévenard (1733 - 1815), amiral, ministre de la Marine qui fut le seul Malouin à avoir été inhumé au Panthéon, à Paris.
Cette rue traverse un îlot reconstruit sur les plans de Louis Arretche (1901-1991), architecte en chef de la reconstruction de Saint-Malo, sous la forme d’un passage voûté, de deux arcades et d’une cour intérieure formant un péristyle.
Les deux arcades au-dessus de la rue sont évidées de niches contenant des statuettes en grès émaillé créées par André Bizette-Lindet (1906-1998), Grand prix de Rome et peintre officiel de la Marine, représentant l’évêque saint Malo sur une baleine et une Vierge.
Les autres arcades des deux petits côtés du péristyle abritent, du même artiste, un réseau d’algues stylisées et une statue de saint Malo, évêque d’Alet au 6e siècle, qui a laissé son nom à la ville.
Située au cœur de la cité historique, cette cour est un exemple caractéristique de la reconstruction malouine, qui sans être une reconstitution exacte de la ville ancienne en reste interprétation évocatrice de son histoire.
