A view of Santa Giustina Church taken from Prato della Valle square in Padua. In the foreground can be seen the canal bordering Prato della Valle with two of the many statues placed around the square: a magic place with a fascinating story.
This image makes me think of the solitude experienced by lightkeepers on long winter nights on the North Atlantic Coast. There is not much warmth, and only the single light to keep you company.
L'Àgora, City of Arts & Sciences, Valencia, Spain
Taken on the day I arrived in Valencia. Sun was shining brightly so I knew in advance anything I took was going to become B&W images. The shadows from the Science Museum supports drew my eye here so it was a case of trying to work out the composition and avoid having too many pedestrians in the shot.
L'Àgora is a multifunctional covered space designed by Santiago Calatrava. The building has a height of 70 m (230 ft) and occupies 5,000 m2 of space with an open ground plan resembling a pointed ellipse about 88 m (289 ft) long and 66 m (217 ft) wide. Depending on the configuration of the space, a maximum seating capacity for 6,075 people can be reached.
The building is a diaphanous large arena, with a glass roof along its spine and a movable structure to control the overhead natural light. The tall white steel rib-cage arches give the interior space an organic element, whereas the exterior is geometric and abstract, in day or when illuminated at night (Wikipedia).

Spanish Tower, Park Rosenhöhe Darmstadt (GER)
The tower was designed by Balthasar Harres for Prince Karl of Hessen-Darmstadt in 1853/54 and built under his direction. It is said to have served Grand Duke Ludwig III and courtly society as a viewing platform and teahouse.
Panorama - Barnhusbron - the bridge connects the districts of Norrmalm & Vasastan with Kungsholmen, Stockholm
The little girl with her guitar looked so adorable. As we walked the same direction, I took few photos along the way.

Close your eyes for a moment and picture a walled medieval village, with no modern buildings, completely unaffected by the passing of time. Now open and rejoice in the fact that a place like this still exists
