Roshan's Barber Shop in Inverkeithing, Fife

For her bi-weekly nail appointment on a summer-like day in early May 2022, Ms. Essay chose her Misses Size 6 pink sleeveless empire-waist polka dot dress she purchased on-line from NorthStyle. In her closet Ms. Essay also has the same dress in the colors of medium blue and medium brown. The USA Size 8 ankle-strap high heels sandals by Vince Cumato were purchased at a Dillard’s department store.

Soon after getting dressed, Ms. Essay posed in front of the guest bedroom’s full-length floor standing mirror to check for any adjustments, such as an uncovered bra strap.

Just thought it looked kind of cool. Roaming around while waiting for wife at doc appointment.

At the time that this Canadian military Lockheed CC-130E joined the Hercules line-up at RAF Greenham Common during the 1979 International Air Tattoo, she was emblazoned with just 'Canada' and 'Armed Forces/Forces Armées' titles but with recent changes their replacements and all other aircraft in the Canadian inventory have now reverted to the addition of the 'Royal' moniker previously carried by the them.

These days, this example 130316 and her 1960's delivered contemporaries in the RCAF have all been replaced by the far more capable CC-130J version of this enduring Lockheed design,

itself going back to the early 1950's.

With well over 2,500 built - the venerable old 'Herc' is going to be around in our skies for a very long time.

Just gave Champaz his daily brush... Since December it has grown heaps.... He still has a few more layer to grow back, but he is still so soft especially on his belly, as i keep giving him lots of kisses... He went to the vets for a follow through appointment and the vet is very happy..... Now all i have to do now is save up some more money and get his teeth done, as him and Blacky need it done.... But he's a very happy boy these days and i'm loving it... cheers Michelle xxxxxxxx..

For her bi-weekly nail appointment in late March, Ms. Essay pulled out of the closet her beige safari bush jacket-style belted front button dress to wear to the salon.

After getting dressed and with a few minutes available before she needed to depart for the trip to the salon, Ms. Essay clamped her smartphone onto a photographic tripod and captured this time-delayed exposure while seated near the middle of the living room’s L-shaped sectional sofa.

No guys we are not talking about that! My hair appointment was for 9 o'clock this morning and I left plenty of time to sort what to wear and do my face and all.

Like all best laid plans it didn't workout that way, what I was going to wear just didn't do it as the weather was going too very windy, so I went down the jeans route followed by leggings and a baggy top followed by a woollen dress, the dress was the outfit with the boots and flats it worked. but then I had to pop out to the car so I put a sweater on. Bad move! when got back and took it off my dress was covered in flick it looked like I has spent the night with a husky.

so now was running late and just grabbed a dress the above dress to be precise. It wasn't until I got outside I realised that my tights were as I feared navy blue! honestly it wasn't going at all well.

As it goes it all turned out ok in the end. this was taken when I got home before popping out agin.

Appointment with the veterinary fixed!

This morning, my appointment to get two cortisone injections in my knees has just been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. With a temperature of -9C (windchill -13C), I wish that meant I didn't need to go out in the cold and clear the snow off my car. However, I have a few errands that I really need to run.

This photo was taken on 28 October 2018, when a group of 15 of us went south of the city on a birding trip to one of my favourite areas. This included Chain Lakes and Pine Coulee Reservoir. I just love some of the landscape through which we drove - barren, rugged, middle-of-nowhere kind of scenery. It looks so different in each season - I think my favourite time of year is when there is a covering of snow on the empty hills and ice on most of the water. I've still not had the courage to drive in this area myself, as I know that I might never find my way out.

As on almost all these day trips out of the city, almost every bird is far, far away, needing at least binoculars and best of all, a scope. Also, as always happens, my camera lens turns to things other than birds. Scenic shots are always taken - after all, I feel that it is important to record the habitat of any birds seen.

We saw so many Swans (Tundra and Trumpeter) on various sloughs and in flight. What a sight they were, with the sun shining on their pure white feathers. Love to hear the Trumpeter Swans "trumpeting". A huge thrill was when our leader led us to a small creek where there were four American Dippers, happily bobbing and dipping, and swimming under water. They weren't bothered by our presence at all.

Terry, you took us on yet another amazing trip! You even arranged with the weatherman for a beautiful, sunny day, though the morning was very cold and windy. It couldn't have been a better outing - so very enjoyable. Thanks so much, Linda and Robin, for the ride all day - greatly appreciated!

For her bi-weekly nail appointment on June 23, 2022 Ms. Essay chose to wear this purple floral pattern sleeveless dress on a white background. Soon after arriving to the salon and parking her car, Ms. Essay captured this selfie from the driver’s seat.

For her early March nail appointment, Ms. Essay chose to wear her brown faux leather pants, a cream color turtleneck sweater and brown two-tone platform heels. The day of the appointment was too cold to leave the house without a coat.

As is becoming her habit when visiting the nail salon, after entering the entrance lobby Ms. Essay captured a mirrored image of herself in the reflection of the salon’s floor-to-ceiling wall mirror.

Prayers needed. This is my sweet ginger kitty Sundance. He was a feral that I trapped 11 years ago. He used to live inside a hollowed out cactus. This loving and playful boy has been slowing down as he ages (age unknown). The last 2 weeks he has started losing weight despite eating and drinking. He doesn't play and on Wednesday I discovered a large lump in his neck/throat. We have a vet appointment next Tuesday morning. Please keep him in your thoughts. I can't bare to lose yet another pet. Between the ex's abuse and destroying my animals and then losing one a year for the last 6 years to cancer.... I can't do it again. This boy has a lot of life in him and a lot to live for. Thank you

For her bi-weekly nail appointment on June 23, 2022 Ms. Essay chose to wear this purple floral pattern sleeveless dress on a white background. The Renditions Salon has a floor-to-ceiling wall mirror that Ms. Essay used to capture this standing pose from the image reflected off the mirror.

I had an appointment to meet someone on Central Park West and 66th Street (essentially across the street from the famous "Tavern on the Green" restaurant), and -- as usual -- arrived half an hour early. So I sat on a park bench, and watched a wide spectrum of humanity walk, stroll, and ride past me. Tourists, students, babysitters, friends, lovers, bicycle-powered messengers, retired people, and joggers moved past me, usually paying no attention to me at all...

I had my camera on my lap, pointed more-or-less straight ahead, with the zoom set to an 18mm wide-angle setting. With a couple of exceptions (including this photo), I didn't bother aiming, focusing, or even raising the camera to my eye; if the picture looked like it might be interesting, I just pressed the shutter button at the appropriate moment.

I took three or four pictures of this man as he navigated slowly across 66th Street on Central Park West (just behind where this picture was taken), stopping every few feet to catch his breath. When he reached a tree that's just out of sight on the right side of this picture, he decided to put his arm out and rest a while longer; you can see that in the previous picture of this sequence ...

Seeing his condition, a very nice couple approached him and asked if they could help walk him to the bus-stop, which was about twenty feet further ahead (indeed, you can see the approaching bus in the background). They helped him onto the bus, and then walked away...

And, yes, I did notice the reaction of the woman on the left side of the picture: I felt that she was demonstrating the reaction that all of us would have felt if we were there, in person, to witness this little vignette of humanity...

********************,

Note: on Oct 3, 2009 I made some minor edits to this photo. Primarily, I decreased the extent of shadows in the coat worn by the woman on the left, so you could see more details. There were a few other "hot spots" and "cold spots" throughout the photo that I was able to adjust, too. And I made a modest increase in the color saturation of the faces of all four individuals, as well as increasing the vibrancy of non-skin-tone colors. I do think it helps to be able to see more details of the woman's dark raincoat, but aside from that, none of these "tweaks" are particularly germane to the main emphasis of the photo...

The ceramic mural is a very special place alongside Lake Benalla, draws on elements of nature and has been called "the largest community artwork in Australia". The structure includes an amphitheatre, viewing platform and two sets of sound pipes ("thongaphones") for performances. The mural project started as a community arts project in 1983 under the auspices of Forum (now The Centre). Funding from the Australia Council Community Arts Board saw the appointment of Judy Lorraine as Artist-in-Residence.

Úbeda (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈuβeða]; from Arabic Ubbada al-`Arab and this from Iberian Ibiut) is a town in the province of Jaén in Spain's autonomous community of Andalusia, with 34,733 (data 2017) inhabitants. Both this city and the neighbouring city of Baeza benefited from extensive patronage in the early 16th century resulting in the construction of a series of Renaissance style palaces and churches, which have been preserved ever since. In 2003, UNESCO declared the historic cores and monuments of these two towns a World Heritage Site.

The most outstanding feature of the city is the monumental Vázquez de Molina Square, surrounded with imposing Renaissance buildings such as the Palacio de las Cadenas (so named for the decorative chains which once hung from the façade) and the Basílica de Santa María de los Reales Alcázares. The Chapel of the Savior or Capilla del Salvador was constructed to house the tombs of local nobility. Both the interior and exterior are decorated; for example, interior has an elaborate metawork screen by the ironworker Bartolomé de Jaen. The Hospital de Santiago, designed by Vandelvira in the late 16th century, with its square bell towers and graceful Renaissance courtyard, is now the home of the town's Conference Hall. Ubeda has a Parador hotel, housed in a 16th-century palace which was the residence of a high-ranking churchman of that period.

The town lends its name to a common figure of speech in Spanish, andar por los cerros de Úbeda (literally 'to walk around the hills of Úbeda'), meaning 'to go off at a tangent'.

The city possesses 48 monuments, and more of another hundred of buildings of interest, almost all of them of Renaissance style. Though to the romantic travelers of the 18th and 19th centuries it impressed more the Muslim flavor of its streets than this Renaissance brilliance. All this patrimony led Úbeda to being the second city of renowned Spain Historical – artistic Set, in the year 1955. In the year 1975 it received the appointment of the Council of Europe as Exemplary City of the Renaissance. Finally, in 2003 it was named a World Heritage Site, together with Baeza, by UNESCO.
