Autumn in this long avenue of linden trees is now for me a traditional photo. A long walk more nice in a sunny morning.

L' appuntamento

We have made an appointment with the Northern Lights in this lodge in the mountains not far from the city of Alta. They have come to our rendezvous, as splendid as we hoped. Their power was not really at the max just the Kp 4 but the fact of being really far north beyond the Arctic Circle compensated for this lack of power. The encounter with the aurora is always a very emotional moment.

The place was not really ideal because there was a lot of strong light all around the lodge so we had to try to hide artificial lights to better appreciate the beauty of the northern lights.

.... or how to get ready for the weekend.

It has been a very busy week which culminated today in a particularly hectic work schedule plus a vet visit with Fynn. The Dragon didn't mind to stay at home when Fynn and I left the house at about 7 am to drive to the vet. It turned out to be a good idea to choose an early hour for our vet appointment as it's an awfully hot day again. We returned home about 1.5 hours later and I immediately started to work. When I took a quick coffee break a while later I found the Dragon hiding under the table cloth on the kitchen table. I had tried to remove that table cloth yesterday because I had bought a new one but the Dragon hadn't allowed me to do that. It looks as if the new table cloth will still have to wait a day or two.... After a this rather chaotic week I almost feel ready to hide under the table cloth myself for the weekend.

It's always easier to make appointments when you’re in a position of strength !!

Me: Doc, I Can't Stop Singing "The Green, Green Grass Of Home."

The dark side of this gruesome monster risen from the bowels of the earth for Halloween! ;-)

View in lightbox to see just how repulsive he really is! ;-)

"Happy Halloween, my dear friends", cries he, in a spine-chilling tone of voice!

The gear! Shh!!! Mum's the word!

Take care, my friends, and many thanks for calling,

Due to a medical appointment that I had today at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, I took advantage to take my camera and tripod to practice some long exposure pictures (my favorite style, you know).

In this 21 seconds picture, M-607 highway is shown from an elevated pass over the highway. This highway connects Madrid with Madrid´s Sierra, though it is known as Colmenar road, because this highway passes beside the town of Colmenar Viejo.

If you look carefully, in the distance you can see the mountains with some clouds above them. You even can see some snow in the summits on the left upper side of the picture.

On the right side of the image, a train travels along the railroad heading to Tres Cantos and Colmenar.

Picture taken at 8:18 am with a temperature of 45F (7ºC).

Wishing you a great Monday, much health, much care and much love!

Had an appointment in the city today near Granville Island Market - stopped for lunch at this food lover's delight. The views are pretty spectacular too.

Two shot panorama, stitched in LR...the owners of the sailboats might be a little disconcerted to find out their rigging has changed. :-)

Note to self: panoramas are best with simple foreground.

A motion blur shot I took as my husband drove me to a neurofeedback appointment on a rainy day at the end of October. For the past 10 months I usually spend 6 hours in the car each week on the way to and home from neurofeedback appointments twice a week. I’m not sure I could really put my experience of what this process has been for me into words—extremely helpful, encouraging, healing and hopeful and it also comes with a lot of hard work, dedication, challenges and difficulties. After years of struggle and trying different treatments (one thing helped and many that added more trauma on top of what I’d already experienced) I am very thankful to find that neurofeedback helps get to the root of my severe mental health struggles. And it’s still not easy for me. Lately I’ve been able to bring my camera with me and sometimes take pictures (while my husband drives) as a way to cope with the intense things I’m dealing with.

I normal don't get up this early but I was on my way to appointment. I saw this brilliant sunrise on my travels. The sun is rising over the Endless Mts. located in Pa. There is a light mist over the tall Mts.

I had an appointment today at the tickle Doctor's. I left feeling very relaxed. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tuliptree/29/122/34
