A chair frozen into the snow and ice of Lake Laberge in southern Yukon. It ws turned with its back to the view, and there was no fishing hole that I could see. I'm not sure what this says, if anything, but I feel like there must be a story or statement in this somewhere.
Photo taken with the Canon EOS R and Rf 24-105mm f/4.0 L. Camera and lens were mounted to a sturdy tripod and I used a ten stop neutral density filter to lengthen the exposure somewhat. The wind was blowing a hoolie, with gusts almost strong enough to blow a person over.
The finished image was processed from raw in Adobe Lightroom Classic 11, and then further adjustments, including B&W conversion, were performed in DxO's Nik Silver Efex Pro 3.
Returning from a hospital appointment and after a few days of rain, I decided to check out some waterfalls. The falls at Scaling are fed by overflow from a reservoir and I was disappointed to find only a trickle when I arrived. So I tried to maximise the flow with an ND filter and long exposure, the draw back being movement in the trees!
67006 Royal Sovereign heads over the Birmingham to Derby line at Washwood Heath with 5Z77 Burton On Trent Wetmore Sidings to Wembley Freight Ops Centre. The disused branch into Metro Cammell stands in the foreground.
This location is now no longer available as HS2 have taken possession of the land and have blocked the road due to fly tipping.
Class 47's - 47798 and 47799, the locomotives. used solely for the 'Royal Trains' from 1990-2004.. This photo was taken at the Toton Depot Open Day way back on 30.8.1998.
I just happened to spot this Beetle while out at an appointment recently. The fact that I was taking photos of it while parked on the street was creating some unwanted attention from a concerned onlooker from a near by business! It was then I quit while I was ahead!
As for the boots, they may look familiar to you Di as I found these in the Dookie Emporium while out shooting canola that way recently with my wonderful Flickr friend Di.
I think these two are a perfect pairing . . . and as tough as old boots!

I think an appointment at the dentist and optician is long overdue.
This street art was actually done on two walls. This is why the two halves of the face are not the same.
It's her!... Love of hers, her steps lead...
I feel the soft rumor of her dress...
Which sky by lightning divided,
my spirit suddenly lights up,
A thousand longings, with sudden bliss,
they shake in my moved chest,
which chicks swarm in the nest
when the tender mother approaches.
My good! My love! with your wonderful eyes,
I long for you and I observe your soul,
and your whole being
Oh! Not even the fallen angel with more consolation
I could enjoy, if my soul arrived
to the region of heaven!

An abandoned car left by the side of the road in Silver City, Idaho next to an outhouse decorated with quirky signs. Some of the 75 original structures of the town can be seen in the distance.
Dentist appointment after work today, which left almost no time for a shot. And I knew that I did not feel like setting something up at home. It was getting dark and I missed focus, but this was the best of the bunch. I was out on a walking trail (well, here I was way off the walking trail) and I wasn't too keen to stay out there much longer by myself. My daughter said that the black and white made it look less out of focus, so I went with that.
I am so behind visiting your streams and miss seeing your new creations, I hope to get caught up this week!

"Scabs" O'Callahan had to see the dentist after getting a tooth knocked out while watching his favorite punk band, Miami Vise Grips. It didn't seem to bother him too much, since he is a rough and tough punk rocker himself. He is the guitar player for The Devil's Eggs.
This weekend Lego Dan and Dot have been visiting the Queen's Scottish residence at Balmoral Castle.
Unfortunately, Lego Suzie has disgraced them by pooping on the Queen's hard-standing. Can a plastic dog be tried for treason?
