"Keith Haring: The Political Line" exhibition, Sep.20, 2015 – Feb.7, 2016.
"The Political Line" is a major exhibition on the life and work of influential American artist and activist Keith Haring (1958-1990). With his unmistakably unique style, Keith Haring, a protégé of Andy Warhol, spawned a revolution in art during the 1980s.
The foyer is situated in the gallery constructed on the arches over the Winter Canal to the design of Yuri Velten in 1783 as a covered passage way linking the Great Hermitage and the Hermitage Theatre. The foyer decor was completed in 1902 to the design of Leonty Benois who managed to make it look unusual and refined at the same time. The gallery is decorated in the Rococo style known also as the style of the French king Louis XV. The splendid garlands of plants, scrolls and rocailles frame the inserts of paintings, cover the cove, decorate the wall panels, edge up the windows and doors. Through the large French windows supplying the gallery with bright light visitors may enjoy splendid views of the Neva River and the Winter Canal.

Kasteel Schaloen (Anno 1381). In 2013 stond het kasteel te koop, het was gelijk ook het duurste huis dat te koop was in Nederland. Een rijke Chinees had wel interesse voor het object met een vraagprijs van maar liefst 14 miljoen euro.

Haar or sea fret along the dunes. Haar is typically formed over the sea and is blown to the land by the wind. This commonly occurs when warmer moist air moves over the relatively cooler North Sea causing the moisture in the air to condense, forming haar.

--Museum of Applied Arts--
-Following the establishment of similar museums in London, Vienna and Berlin, and upon realizing the importance of handicrafts and industrial design, the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest was founded by the Hungarian Parliament in 1872.
From the start, the Museum has collected applied art works contemporary and historical, from Hungary and abroad. Its collections have come from several sources.
The core of the historical collection consists of antiques transferred from the Hungarian National Museum, while the contemporary collection was originally built up from purchases at world fairs (Vienna 1873, Paris 1878, Paris 1889) and gifts by companies (Herend Porcelain Manufactory, Zsolnay).

This was the house of the Russian diplomat Alexander Alexandrovich Polovtsev (1867-1944). It was originally built by Ivanov Nikolai Ivanovich, a merchant and Turkestan businessman. Polovtsev's secretary, Mikhail Stepanovich Andreev (1873-1948), purchased the house and had it converted into an oriental palace (after 1890, but before 1907); it was known colloquially as the Polovtsev House.
It became the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan in 1937.
