Details
Castle Ravesteijn (Est 1250) monument - the first wooden reinforcement was probably built around the year 1100. In 1254 as "Heerlijkheid Heenvliet" of Hugo van Voorne, the first lord of Heenvliet.
The main part, very heavily constructed by 13th century standards, consisted of a donjon with four corner towers and a moat around it. This had both a military and a residential function. The entrance gate was protected with a gate. In the 14th and 15th century, the castle was extended for a more comfortable way of habitation.
After it had been destroyed by the Watergeuzen in the Eighty Years' War in 1572, the castle was no longer restored. However, the cellars of the ruin remained in use for more than a century as a prison. According to some, before the ruin of the castle, the Pastor Angelus Merula accused of heresy has been imprisoned here for a while.

Binnenplaats Kasteel Schaloen (Anno 1381). In 2013 stond het kasteel te koop, het was gelijk ook het duurste huis dat te koop was in Nederland. Een rijke Chinees had wel interesse voor het object met een vraagprijs van maar liefst 14 miljoen euro.

Place de Cornieres - medieval centre (est.+/-1250). A very nice square surrounded by medieval buildings with little shops and restaurants - Monpazier/FR
Beachhouses on the beach for those who want to stay on the beach. The sounds of and view at the sea must be great.

Haar or sea fret along the dunes. Haar is typically formed over the sea and is blown to the land by the wind. This commonly occurs when warmer moist air moves over the relatively cooler North Sea causing the moisture in the air to condense, forming haar.
Mist komt op boven zee wanneer koude lucht over relatief warm zeewater stroomt of wanneer warme lucht in aanraking komt met een koude zee. In het voorjaar en het begin van de zomer kan bij aanvoer van warme lucht uit Zuid-Europa boven de koude Noordzee een uitgestrekt mistgebied ontstaan - Goedereede/NL
Kasteel Ravesteijn (Est. 1250). De eerste houten versterking werd hier vermoedelijk al rond het jaar 1100 gebouwd. In 1254 als heerlijkheid 'Heenvliet' van Hugo van Voorne, de eerste heer van Heenvliet'.
Het hoofdgedeelte bestond uit een voor de 13e eeuw zeer zwaar uitgevoerde donjon met vier hoektorens die op een hoogte was gebouwd waaromheen een gracht was gegraven. Deze had zowel een militaire als een woonfunctie. De toegangspoort werd beschermd met een valhek. In de 14e en in de 15e eeuw werd het kasteel uitgebreid met delen die een meer comfortabele bewoning mogelijk maakten.
Nadat het in de Tachtigjarige Oorlog in 1572 door de watergeuzen was vernield werd het slot niet meer hersteld, de kelders van de imposante ruïne bleven echter nog meer dan een eeuw in gebruik als gevangenis. Volgens sommigen heeft, voor de ruïnering van het kasteel, de van ketterij beschuldigde Heenvlietse pastoor Merula hier een tijdje gevangengezeten - Heenvliet/NL
Eerste sneeuw winterseizoen 2017-2018. Code oranje en enige uren zware sneeuwval kleurt de omgeving winters wit - Hellevoetsluis/NL
Historical village architecture, most of the houses date back many years ago, some even from medieval times. None of the buildings are modern build.

Details
Limeuil - located at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Historically both commercially and strategically on the highways of trade. This region: was primarily a wine-producing area for subsequent delivery downstream to Bordeaux, on large, flat-bottomed "gabarres". A very nice historical village and on the list of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" most beautifull small villages.
