It is quite simply...

I asked Alan to take a picture of Steve and I with our respective Olympic White Fenders.

My guitars ready for the gig. I am sharing my Warwick stand with the bass player. The jewel light on the Single Rectifier actually looks purple in this picture.

This is the inspection checklist tag that came with the guitar. Hand written serial number, model sticker (down to the color), and initials of everyone involved at various points.

Is that how they do it in Scotland?

This social media photo does a good job of showing mic placement.

Here it is! The 2014 Charvel San Dimas Style 1 HS HT guitar. It is practically brand new! Somebody put in EMG pickups.

The current Fender American Professional Telecaster bridge. Compensated brass bridge saddles, everybody!

I wanted a picture of Steve's Precision Bass 5-string with my Telecaster

On my vacation trip, as I was seated close to the right wing of the airplane, I took an opportunity to take a casual picture of the wing positioned against the clear, cloud-filled blue sky.

Edited with VSCO Film preset from RAW file in Adobe Lightroom. Further editing and watermark placement to JPG file done in Adobe Photoshop CC.

Constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Madison turned 25 today! Wow, where has the time gone?

The headstock inspection tag

The much debated "All-Access Neck Joint"

I played a new Ibanez RG550 Genesis model then played this 2001 RG570 and honestly liked the neck joint on the RG570 much better. Even though the RG550 Genesis has a cutaway on the back for upper fret access, the neck heel is still square and it actually gets in the way when upper fretting. Otherwise, the quality of the RG550 Genesis was incredible.

The neck butt. Exciting isn't it

The bridge is back together with the saddles in approximately the same positions. Time to put it back on the guitar.

It would be ideal if the body was string through, but for all the features I get that is not much of a trade off. All of my basses are not string through.

Strum In The Sun

I asked Alan to take a picture of Steve and I with our respective Olympic White Fenders.

The back side of the Ibanez Edge tremolo after the FU-Tone block upgrade.

Looking under the pickguard revealed the large neck pickup route and a Stratocaster middle pickup route.

Side-by-side the Brass Big Block is wider than the stock block but the stock block seems deeper. Note: I am not aligning the blocks by screw holes or string holes, just edge to edge.

The other things that were in the case with the guitar.

Orange USA confirmed that, based on the serial number, this amp was completed in July 2012.

One fine day I may open it up and look for an inspection tag but this is good enough.

The FU-Tone Ibanez Edge Big Block looks kind of small compared to other Big Blocks. But it is huge compared to the stock block!

The cover for the TH30 fits great and is really thick. It will keep the amp warm in the winter!

3 Finger Shot Wednesday

A pretty pair side by side.

I want a white pickguard on the bass so I bought this Fender '62 Precision W/B/W pickguard with hopes it will fit the Fender Performer Precision Bass

The nut end of the dry rosewood fingerboard. Ready for oiling!

I was stunned to find the original receipt in the bag in the case!

Now I want an Ibanez DS7 Distortion pedal \m/

I finally have a footswitch for the amp!
