Touching Toes
When one dog is on the couch the other dog has to get on the couch. Dharma seems to gravitate (gratefully) to Julie. Whenever I eat, Harper likes to get on the couch and curl up behind me. Tonight it was the perfect storm and the girls had their rear paws touching.
Otherwise it was just another shelter-in-place Thursday.
We had Panera for lunch and dinner.
Contrary to Amazon comments on the footswitch, it illuminates on the dirty channel and is off on the clean channel.
Finger Prick
I donated platelets today. No issues.
I picked "Troy" to watch during the process and didn't finish the movie before I was done! That is a first!
I stopped at the Barnes & Noble at Kingsdale in search of the Fender Custom Shop calendar. No luck but I did find a "Doug the Pug" calendar that I thought Julie would like. Buying that calendar was a mistake...

Warhol’s blue-hued 1986 Self-Portrait, a fixture in the Hirshhorn’s collection, appears in “Brand New” both in real life and in an investment bank magazine ad of the same era. The original, though, is placed on a brazenly ripped-off expanse of Warhol cow wallpaper from 1984, which artist Mike Bidlo attributed to “Not Warhol,” as if to avoid copyright lawyers.
Opposite the portrait and appropriated wallpaper are a series of slides depicting costumed figures clearly modeled after Warhol’s Factory characters. This scene of artistic apery was staged by Bidlo and his friends in 1984.
Warhol, according to Gianni Jetzer, the Hirshhorn curator-at-large who spent two years organizing the show, was “a master of self-branding.” In a way, it’s only fitting that Warhol’s commercially influenced work was stolen and spun by followers like Bidlo looking to create personal brands of their own.

Audition
I auditioned for the Sean Prather Band today. I was not as prepared as I should have been but honestly, I don't have time for another band. Since it was Country, I took my Fender Blues Junior which meant I needed a drive pedal. I ran through about 9 pedals this morning and decided on using my old ProCo Rat. The Jeff Beck Strat sounded great through this rig! I used the Jeff Beck because they tune 1/2 step down.
Today was Julie's first day as a Temp Respiratory Therapist. She had a 12-hour shift at the Convalarium of Dublin. I promised her I would take her to Texas Roadhouse for dinner...

Dog Driver
I brought both girls to pick up Julie tonight.
I went the post office this morning after dropping off Julie at work. Dharma stayed in the car. There was one woman in front of me so I didn't wait long at all.

COVID Jam
Steve and Jeff came over today and we jammed. It was my first time jamming with either of them and it was fun if not a bit rusty. I don't think any of us have played in our respective bands since mid-March.
I sang the whole time and we played:
"Surrender" by Cheap Trick
"Maggie May" by Rod Stewart
"I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones
"T.N.T." by AC/DC
"Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC
"Badge" by Cream
"Ace of Spades" by Motorhead
"Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin
"Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy
"Tie Your Mother Down" by Queen
I videotaped the entire event except for "Purple Haze" which may have been one of our best performances!
Take Out
Today Governor Mike DeWine announced the closing of all bars and restaurants in Ohio effective at 9pm. Did we go somewhere for dinner? Did we meet Ric, Rusty, and Scott at Classics? No, we got Mark Pi's carryout.
Today was my first rehearsal with the Tim Farrel band. We rehearsed at Tim's house in Powell and we covered a lot of songs between 1pm and 4:30pm.
Soundcheck
Tonight Jon Anthony & Wishful Drinking played a battle of the bands at Bristol Republic...and we won! Terry Douglas band was playing too so Wolf and Terry were there. I was the only one that stuck around until the voting was tallied.
Today was my first day of working from home due to the university's coronavirus policies. I did have to go in to get my iPad for John.
Today was also the day that the scammers notified Julie that they had been chatting with me and shared two of the pictures I sent them (no dick picks, but they were of me in nothing but underwear). Naturally she hit the roof and it looks like this might be it for our relationship. Why did I think they scammers wouldn't contact her?! Why did I bother giving them the $100 gift card?! Why am I so stupid!?
NOTE: This would turn out to be my last gig for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We all have such fateful objects -- it may be a recurrent landscape in one case, a number in another -- carefully chosen by the gods to attract events of specific significance for us: here shall John always stumble; there shall Jane's heart always break.” ―Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

This is the scene that the rain leaves behind once it has passed.
The rain leaves behind a dim and cloudy atmosphere that contrasts with the sunset, while the wet road with puddles of water creates reflections of various objects on the surface.
A picture of an after the rain city landscape, taken through a window from an overpass.
This is one of the first few pictures that I have taken using my new cellular phone, an Apple iPhone 8 Plus, as opposed to my Sony camera. I apologize if the image quality is not as good.
If the responses to the pictures taken using my new phone are positive enough, I may be encouraged to upload more pictures from it.
Also, I apologize for the late update, as I was busy setting up my new phone for photography and Instagram purposes, as I wish to lessen dependence on my camera for uploading new content.

Constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.
A small factory on the outskirts of Fez in Portugal produces striking ceramic pieces. Most of the objects are made and decorated by hand by artisans like this young woman. Conditions are modest to say the least, an inverted Coca Cola crate serves as table legs and a couple of bricks as footrests. The products are beautiful.
Rehearsal
I worked from home today. Julie and I had an early dinner at Villa Nova before my rehearsal.
GLBC Christmas Ale
I am trying to get rid of this beer.
Today we gave Shay the legs and "box spring" of our Sleep Number bed. We had a bear of a time disassembling his existing bed frame and headboard! He talked us into getting Kyoto (Japanese Steakhouse) carryout for lunch. They screwed up Julie and my orders. I just can't accept Japanese Steakhouse for take out.
We had Grandad's Pizza for dinner and to watch the Buckeyes play Clemson. I had their meatball sub and it was awesome. The Buckeyes lost.
