Ready
We have sound checked and we are ready! Tonight Jon Anthony & Wishful Drinking played "Barge Bash 2020" on Buckeye Lake. It was a "private" party but we were allowed to invite friends and family. I rode out with Joel Britt and Duane showed up with his girlfriend (Ginger?). Snakebite Sound ran sound and the barge was docked behind this rich guy's house. There were fireworks around 9:30pm or 10pm and we played until 11:40pm. Dave Gallagher sat in as second guitar since Steve Paxton was not available for the gig. It was awesome
Earlier I picked my Mom up and we went to lunch at Old Dog Alehouse in Delaware.
Julie was not feeling well so she stayed home for both "events"

Facebook Live
Per a couple requests, I did a Facebook Live broadcast today at 6:30pm. I played for just over an hour and it was well received. I played horribly and sang out of tune. I felt nervous and it showed. I haven't gigged since March 12 so I was kind of rusty.
Julie and the dogs were in the basement with me and she was reading/checking Facebook comments.
I played:
"Understanding Jane" by Icicle Works
"Maggie May" by Rod Stewart
"Red Dragon Tattoo" by Fountains of Wayne
"Hey Julie" by Fountains of Wayne
"Hung Up On You" by Fountains of Wayne
"Message In A Bottle" by The Police
"Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams
"Surrender" by Cheap Trick
"Zero" by The Smashing Pumpkins
"Maggie May" by Rod Stewart...again, by request
"Rooster" by Alice In Chains
"Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains
We had Rooster's for dinner and Wendy's for lunch
Limelight
Another rehearsal selfie. We worked on "Limelight", "Them Bones", "Keep On Swinging", and "Somebody To Shove". We touched on a few other songs as well.
Earlier I met Ric and Rusty at BW-3 Polaris for dinner before rehearsal.
Otherwise I just crammed songs all morning.

Temporary Crown
The temporary crown came off again this morning. The combination of treating it like a normal tooth, regular flossing, and Twizzlers did the trick! This is the temporary crown just after I pulled it out. You can see all the cement I put in there. I really didn't think I put that much cement in the tooth but I obviously did since it did not seat properly. It took a while to clean the cement out the temporary crown and clean off my tooth. I put it back in with just a slight amount of cement only on the sides of the temporary crown and my bite is nearly perfect again. I messaged Dr. Butler on Facebook and he ended up calling me. I will go in Friday May 1st for the permanent crown.
Kelly Ferguson asked me to send a video of myself playing "Crazy Train". It took me a while to remember how to play it! I guess Makenzi is learning it and wanted to see me play it.

Podcast Retrospective
TC and I got together to record our parts of our next Podcast Retrospective "The Previous Fifteen". I also had him video me demonstrating how I setup and use the Tascam DP-24 multi-track recorder for the Tascam Users [DP24 - DP32, dp03 & ANY Tascam Product] group on Facebook.

Birthday Week Begins
Julie and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Her Birthday is Thursday but we are sort of celebrating all week. They were strangely busy for a Monday night so we ate at the bar.
It was a celebration dinner for Julie passing her test! She got 111/150. A passing score was 99/150. But there were a total of 170 questions on the exam; 20 dummy/practice questions and 150 evaluated questions. It was either going to be a celebration meal or a drown your sorrows meal!
Patio Gig
It is so hot tonight! Annette said they would not be coming due to the heat. But Julie went and Joel Britt went and Dave Gallagher showed up! Julie and Joel were able to stay in the same spot the entire night. It was a good gig!
Today was also Julie's last knee shot treatment. Today a doctor did it since both nurses were out. She said it was the worst of the three shot sessions.
We stopped at the eye doctor after her knee appointment so she could get her glasses adjusted.
Everything seemed off today. First Julie's appointment was moved to 8am and she had the doctor instead of the nurse. Then she had somehow made lunch plans with her Mom instead of sticking to our original Borgata pizza plan. I guess she thought it was going to rain so we couldn't sit on the patio? So, she lies to her Mom and we go to Borgata anyway the the server who is always there on Thursdays wasn't there today; it was someone new. Everything was just "off". But the rest of the day went fine
"A group of buildings
Overlooking everything
Standing proud and tall."
A picture of a group of tall buildings taken from the rooftop parking lot of a large supermarket.
I had wanted the shot to be wider, but there were several cars on the parking lot which prevented me from finding a good angle, and I also had to work around the limitations of my phone's camera.

Telecaster Tuesday
I made a quick video to post on Instagram for Telecaster Tuesday using my 2017 Fender American Professional Telecaster and 2014 Fender Tweed Blues Junior.
I look silly in my dad shorts and flip flops.
I met Rusty and Scott at Quaker Steak & Lube for all-you-can-eat wings Tuesday.
Masked BBQ
Julie and I tried Nocterra Brewing today. Ray Ray's Hog Pit food truck is on site so we tried that as well. Ray Ray's was amazing! I liked the beers that I had; Julie didn't like hers.
I went to see Fat Dog Acoustic at Lazy Chameleon tonight. Today was also Joel Britt's birthday so he met me at Lazy Chameleon. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get a seat at the bar before the band started. Fat Dog was amazing! Lots of people I knew were there: Rico & Reneda, Chris Keigley and his new girl Heather, Don Durea, Kelly Rush, and Michael Christian was running sound. I didn't drink much.
We stopped at KFos & Michele's to take care of their dogs twice today.
BOSS CE-2
This was one of the first guitar pedals I got. My Mom bought this for me from Thoroughbred Music in Tampa, FL during spring break 1985. It was about a month after my Dad died and we visited my Aunt and her family in Tampa. I talked my Mom into letting me go to Thoroughbred one day for an hour or so. I saw so many cool things I never saw in Columbus: a Purple Jackson Soloist with three single coil pickups, a Schecter Yngwie Malmsteen Signuature guitar with a scalloped neck (this was two years before Fender started their Artist Series with his signature model), Mesa/Boogie amps, all sorts of stuff I can't remember now.
I am putting together a pedal board to jam with Jeff and Steve on Friday. So, TU-3 Tuner, Crybaby Wah, my Bomb Boost (JHS/Stew-Mac kit I assembled), Fulltone Deja-Vibe Mini CS in front of the amp, then CE-2 Chorus and DD-7 Delay in the effects loop.
Bathroom Selfie
Since we did not go out on New Year's Eve, Julie said we could go see Hott Lucy at Turtle Creek Tavern tonight. We stopped at BW-3 to eat first. It was a fun night and we got to see a lot of friends. It is cool to go out and see a band once-in-a-while.
Today is Lee's 38th birthday!
We also took Harper to PetSmart at Easton for grooming. She did great!
