Eucalyptus bridgesiana - growing next to Tharwa Drive in Canberra, Australia.
In the ACT, the Apple Box is commonly found on the lower slopes of broad valleys, often on alluvial flats near streams in woodland formation. This is exactly the case with this tree. The grazing land behind the fence is part of the Lanyon property.

Eucalyptus bridgesiana - on Jenke Circuit in Kambah ACT. If my geography is correct, this tree would have stood near Village Creek before urbanisation.
