Eucalyptus bridgesiana - growing next to Balmain Crescent in Acton, Canberra, Australia.

This tree even comes with an identifying sign, which I think is good as it raises awareness of remnant indigenous trees.

Eucalyptus bridgesiana - in the grassy woodland behind the Namadgi Visitors Centre.

The Apple Box is a very attractive tree and is commonly found on the lower slopes of broad valleys, often on alluvial flats near streams in woodland formation.

Eucalyptus bridgesiana - on the slopes of Mt Taylor, near Mannheim Street in Kambah ACT. This location does seem a bit odd for this species but a close inspection of the leaves, buds and fruit indicated that it is an Apple Box.

Filming for Ben's music video "Humanities Theme: A Tribute to America's Fallen Soldiers" by Rick Hack Band.

Eucalyptus bridgesiana - close up of the lower trunk of the two trees in a large area of urban open space, containing a small playground, on Mannheim Street near Bissenberger Crescent in Kambah, Canberra ACT.

The bark is grey to white, scaly-flaky and cracked into blocks at the base, which are all typical features of the Apple Box.

Eucalyptus bridgesiana - on the slopes of Mt Taylor, near Mannheim Street in Kambah ACT. A tree usually found on the lower slopes and valleys, this tree seems out of place on the rocky, thin soil. Some mistletoe can be seen near the top of the tree.
