You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey/gray [cross off if necessary]
I was thinking about what to do for FDF, last night, and came up with this idea. After a bit of research here and there [mainly on the internet] I found this! It's a papercraft site for adults to make things with/for their kids! And there was a sunflower costume-how-to on there too! How exciting!
So I made one quickly before mid-night [I've spent the whole day forcing myself to finish off post-processing some long overdue stuff for the engaged couple. Finally finished tonight] and it was only when my sister said I don't have long left of today, did I realise... Oh my goodness.. It's 10pm, and I've only got 2 hours to make my costume and shoot it!
This turned out ok I guess. Not as good as expected. But it was fun because my mum walked in and started to burst out laughing. She then remembered she once did a daisy-type of flower costume for my sister Daisy when she was a wee kid for some school performance [even though she was meant to be a fairy, but my ma didn't know about the british form of fairies much during those days]. Hehe.
Oh. And look what I found on youtube! It's a blast from the past! [only the Britons will understand...]
Actually, I'm not that melancholic as the picture portrays me as. I'm feeling pretty alright actually. My cough has decreased. The snot produce isn't as strong as before (although a little bit of phlegm is still lingering around, just a little), I'm actually feeling pretty damn fine.
In this photo I'm sporting my new hat and scarf that I had made from the mother dearest. It looks better in real life, mainly because in this photo I picked up on the doom and gloom of the winter weather.
Also with the added downfall concerning my inability to use CS3 anymore (am in the process of sorting it out, reinstalling and all sorts), so no postprocessing today :( hence why it looks a wee bit dark and depressing. note to oneself: must post-process and replace later when have sufficient equipment to do so!
But all seems pretty alright.
can't get the High School Musical 2 Fabulous song out of my head, I blame Mel and the SingStar game
An out take for today's Day 63. Decided not to have this shot because, well, I dunno. I like it. But not enough like the other one.
I went to sleep with plaits in my hair, wet plaits may I add. Just to get the frizzy hair look, cos I was going to see on old high school friend tomorrow to shoot her newborn. But then it got postponed.
So frizz hair here it is.
Just following on from yesterday's little adventure Day 256, when I dressed up as Yoko Ono, and my friend Scud as John Lennon, and after shooting the imagine video.
Yay. I don't know how this idea never came earlier. But I'm glad it did come (it's not too late now!)
I got the big hair [check]
I got the small eyes [check]
I am oriental looking [check]
I got the short height [check]
And I got the camera! [check]
It couldn't have fitted in any better! And better still, having a friend who looks like John Lennon is always an added bonus. Hahaha.
This flower, after several google search attempts, I found out is called “Plumeria”.
Whilst doing an engagement photoshoot, we came across a section in this small shaded park that had a massive tree, and scattered all around this tree were hundreds of these flowers!
Exotic flowers of the tropical climates.
This is one of the reasons why I like living in a nice tropical climate. Also because it’s been good here, no hay fever like I’d experience back home in the UK. Here, I’m not allergic to flowers. I love flowers, but they kill me back at home. But the sight of them, simply beautiful.
Here in Asia, I’ve come across so many beautiful species. But here in Taiwan, I’ve come to fall particularly in love with: Plumeria, Hibiscus and Orchids. Yes, I know, they exist outside of Taiwan. But I feel like I see them a lot here, and because I fell in love with them here, I associate them more with Taiwan than I would in a country where I’d flee from the smell of fragrant flowers. Nowadays, fragrant flowers attract me like they would bugs...!
I like them because looking at them makes me feel like I’m in a nice and exotic place. I guess I just associate them with an exotic place, cos that’s when I see them the most...
What’s your favourite type of flower? and why?
[please don’t be boring and say the classic rose... cos it’s romantic and bla bla bla. Roses are pretty yes, but there are millions of different flowers created on this earth....]
This is part of the A to Z collection
Entitled: "How to wear a paper bag over your head"
So far, my first line goes as follows:
"Sdnkp’Vnkjs’ndkjv’ sdnkjbv’snkd’vnofbnvkc op[‘fnviopsdnkdjcbdsj;acb"
Say no more.
Yup. It's officially the return of the brown paper bag until further notice, because Ansy feels and looks ugly.
It's also the first ever Friday I have failed to dress up for Fancy Dress Friday because. Just because.
A re-edit of my old photo. Original can be found here. Goes to show some improvement in post-production.
One of the many pictures I take of A, even though she knows I've got my camera pointed at her direction, she doesn't care. Thats what I like about her. She doesn't mind posing.
Simulated 2D velocity gradient of flow over a cylinder.
Just mucking about with the software.
Re = 100
I believe this was taken around breakfast time, if I'm correct.
I noticed some lights reflected on my camera, gave it a shot and figured it'd make a great minnie/mickey mouse mimicking shot.
Yeh, was pretty much short on ideas of what to do, considering there was so much happening, so much to do at camp, so many kids to boss around. etc.
A fankful foto for the fanksgiving fursday!
Considering it's Thanksgiving over in USA, [and why can't us Britons do a thanksgiving?!]
I can't just sit back and pretend like I'm not thankful.
Thankful for a lot of things this year. My friends. My family and God. But yep, thankful for all my flickr friends out there too :)
ok dudes, I never did intend for this photo to come out all blue and weird, but I totally forgot to change the white balance setting from last night's photo [still set to manual, custom set to a photo with artificial lighting], and so forget to check, snapped up this photo and figured... wow! nice effect. so left it at that!
