I posted a cormorant landing a few days ago, and noted that its tail dragged when landing. I didn't recognize that this may be characteristic of water bird landings for stabilization. Now I know! (Unless it was just coincidence :) ) On the Willamette River.
Cuando todos los dÃas resultan iguales es porque el hombre ha dejado de percibir las cosas buenas que surgen en su vida cada vez que el sol cruza el cielo.

Mid March and the first day out of the year looking to photograph Kingfishers.
After another successful dive this male Kingfisher climbs away with a Fish.
Kingfishers are widespread, especially in central and southern England, becoming less common further North.
It is estimated that there are between 4,000 and 7,000 breeding pairs in the UK.

So many vintage trucks and automobiles in Nelson, Nevada. Some operable, some not. Whoever owns this place has a serious addiction to collecting old vehicles.

I like these birds because they are bold and I can get a little closer to them with my "not so good" telephoto lens.
Another unbelievable evening in Northern Michigan! Clear skies and perfect weather for shooting the Comet Neowise and the Milky Way...then I was treated to another surprise showing of the Northern Lights...absolutely amazing, I could have stayed out there all night...

Went to Fruit Growers Reservoir to check out the shore birds and "was found by" an American Mink. He kept coming closer to the point he made me nervous. Finally, I think he realized I might be a danger and he scooted off into the underbrush.

One of our last tulips to open. Need the containers for summer bedding plants, so will have to take all the tulips out before long. They have given a nice display. Making sitting outside in the sun enjoyable.

I take pictures because I like it, not because I am good at it.
