Justin and I were out and about taking shots today and he let me borrow his wide angle Sigma.

I fell in love with this lens.

A wide angle is definitely going to be my next piece of glass.

Following the road to grasp

something, a thing, anything,

brings me to the technique

of comparing.

As soon as I compare

it with the environment,

I can allocate it, so that

this thing, something, anything,

fits into my world which I build up,

my picture, construct,

my idea of life

in which I live,

which I must live within.

So everyone creates

their own puzzle,

whilst strolling

along the alley of time,

and the pieces

one gets to see,

do influence the big picture.

But how to get a nice, friendly

and warm idea of this world?

How to get an episteme,

in which even contentment feels

welcome and starts to settle down?

Let me whisper now:

“The angle it is, which does the trick.”

Not “what”, but “how” you see,

can make the difference.

So now please choose the title of this picture:

“Woman walking in a wood.” or

“Passing two old watchmen

on the wayfare of life.”

From this angle the curved spring behind the locking arm would normally be visible. I have no idea how they got broken off. Not from any normal use certainly. I can only imagine that perhaps some child or teenager broke them off. I could customise some replacement springs to keep these arms in the locked position when the folding bed is opened.

The two tripod sockets are also visible from this angle, and the focusing mechanism in the front corner.

There are a few tiny drops of water on the camera... It was drizzling a little when I took this picture on my balcony.

The underpasses made for a great opportunity to play with leading lines and odd perspectives.

The angle of repose is an engineering term. Materials poured into a pile will form a natural slope where the material reaches equilibrium, that is it's angle of repose. Sand will have a certain slope, rock salt another. A girl lying a a hill will have an angle of repose all her own.

After a busy weekend we just felt like hanging out and recharging the batteries.

Taken for our daily challenge - energy

Took a break from building reFrames and did this guy.

Fell in love with the design of this toy a long time ago and always wanted one (the 1/12 scale) but it was just so expensive haha :P

Build notes:

Started out as a chunky clunky version then got streamlined into what the body is now but was a solid build (no cockpit and gimmicks). Fellow LEGO mech builder Bert Seguinal gave me some tips when he visited and decided to rebuild the whole thing ground up while adding a minifig compartment inside (what it currently is).

While the build isn't a 100% accurate build, my priority was getting the curves right and using that 4x4 dome for the top. The eye idea actually came from Jan LEGO but he used a different orientation for the eyes (mine look angled although his version was more accurate to the toy - looking straight).

I don't know if this angle is really my best angle, but I hope you like the view it presents!

I do love my tight & shiny ensembles, don't I? I hope you can forgive me for wanting to show off my figure while I still have it to flaunt!

My ensemble is based on this super shiny wet look silver lycra spandex hologram print cap sleeve minidress from coquetryclothing.com, my silver lycra spandex ankle zip leggings from fredericks.com, and accented by my black double buckle stretch belt from greatglam.com, Platino Luxe 40 denier pantyhose and my black patent peep toe platform pumps from venus.com.
