Color Analysis
Stills taken from the movie: The Girl Next Door
In this scene one of the main characters (female) runs into an old boss that she used to work for – the reason for the blue hue in the lighting. We can see in the first picture, that he, himself, and his bodyguards are covered in the blue lighting, while she is as well, but only to an extent. She still has a small amount of red/blonde color to her hair. I think the reason we have the blue lighting on the “old boss” is the fact that he doesn’t bring a very good connotation with him. In this confrontation, the higher color temperature, in fact makes the audience feel cold toward him or even intimidated, also the whole lighting aspect of this scene if fairly dark, re-emphasizing the cold idea of the scene.
In picture two, which takes place within seconds of the first picture, shows that the front of herself is quite warm, at the same time we can see that even the back of the man is just as well flooded with the blue hue lighting. This tells us that she is on a different side, she has a much cooler temperature of lighting on her and; therefore, allows the audience to recognize the two sides.
In picture three, she begins to move into the cooler feeling light as she is slowly being convinced of what he is saying. And finally in picture four, the main character walks up to her and convinces her to stay with him. Here he is covered in a much warmer hue (lower color temperature), as she has also a pinkish hue to her hair.
This entire scene is nearly composed of very dark colors or very dim colors, which tends to make the audience feel down or depressed, until the end of the scene when the male main character comes into the scene (with the warmer colors splashed across his face).
This model demonstrates the way that the volume of one part of the Kiasma museum is formed with a single radial section that is cut away as a ruled surface on one side and a vertical cut on the other.
Basildon Park was built by John Carr of York for Sir Francis Sykes between 1776 and 1783. It is a beautifully balanced building of warm Bath stone consisting of a main central block joined to individual pavilions by single-storey linkages.
Basildon Park was still incomplete when Sir Francis' grandson and namesake inherited, in turn, in 1804. However, due to enormous debts, in 1838, the estate was sold to James Morrison a Radical MP for Ipswich. Morrison was also one of the richest of the early Victorian merchant princes, having cornered the market in black crepe just before the death of Queen Charlotte in 1818 knowing the fashion then for wearing mourning black after the death of a monarch.

Another fish during a hand shaping session – teaching him to push the soccer ball. This is early in the training where he would get food just for touching the ball.
This template is prepared for carrying out Pareto analysis with a Pareto chart. Generally used 80% of occurances in consideration is variable in this template. Also weighted analysis on items can be carried out.

In our shaping tank, we teach the fish various tricks. The teal tube holds food that can be released when they engage in the behavior we are looking to teach. In this case, Anita Li is waiting for him to nose the ball.

Idea is to capture just the swing, planes of action of the club. Tempo of the swing and consistency.

Before our site visit to worlds end, we were asked to create a site analysis model to represent what we have researched on worlds end.
After my partner and I did our research, we focused on what we thought was the most interesting element of worlds end.
Designed by the landscape architect Frederick Olmstead around 1889, one of his biggest contribution to the site was the double tree lined path. The avenues of tree provides protection from the sun in the summer, as well as a way to guide and frame views of elements of the site. these views include small vignettes within the sites as well as views out around the boston harbor.
The horizontal elements in the model represents the path which weaves up and down. The vertical sticks acts as a form of guidance while providing various forms of gaps and opening representing the different types of viewing platform of the site.
In this intense lockdown I have been faced with my face daily, this has been a time of self-discovery. ‘What I Can See’ in myself at this time is: longing, fear, anxiety, acceptance, happiness, love, power, honesty, perseverance.
Hypothesis of colonization history based on DEC analysis.
(A) Biogeographic reconstruction based on dispersal-extinction-cladogenesis modelling implemented in Lagrange using the single MCC tree from the BEAST analysis (Fig. 2) after pruning outgroup taxa. Coloured squares represent maximum-likelihood range inheritance scenarios reconstructed under model M3 for nodes with PP above 0.5. Ranges inherited from widespread ancestors following cladogenesis are shown at the base of diverging branches, while single-area ancestral ranges are shown at nodes. Inferred events of dispersal along branches are also illustrated. When a node has alternative scenarios within 2 log-likelihood units of the optimal reconstruction, the relative probability (fraction of the global likelihood) for the optimal reconstruction is indicated. Given the relevance of the root node for the early colonization history of the group, the two alternative reconstructions are displayed, and the dispersal event inferred under the second best scenario (relative probability 0.36) is shown in brackets along the branch leading to subsect. Versicolores. (B–D) Hypothesis of colonization history of Linaria sect. Versicolores across the Mediterranean basin since the Late Miocene, based on phylogenetic, dating and biogeographic reconstruction results, as well as geological information. Coloured squares represent the range occupied by the group during each period, and arrows indicate hypothetical colonization events. Paleogeographic maps are based upon [77] (white – emerged areas; grey – submerged areas; lined – desiccating areas). Areas delimited for reconstructions are displayed in E. I – Iberian Peninsula; A – northern Africa; S – Sicily; G – Greece.

The Cafe Royal was a restaurant and meeting place originally conceived and set up by Daniel Nicholas Thévenon, who was a French wine merchant. He had to flee France due to bankruptcy, arriving in Britain in 1863 with his wife, Célestine, and just five pounds in cash. He changed his name to Daniel Nicols and opened a cafe restaurant in 1865 at 15-17 Glasshouse Street and it became the Cafe Royal in 1867.
By the 1890s the Cafe Royal had become the place to see and be seen and was very popular with those who practised the arts, becoming “the nearest thing to a true Arts Club London has ever seen”.

Phylogenetic analysis of the RNA-dependent RNA-polymerase of Reoviridae.
Full length amino acid sequences were aligned using the ClustalX[18] implemented on MEGA software[19] and refined using T-Coffee[20] to incorporate protein structure data. Phylogenetic analysis was performed using p-distance as model of amino acid substitution as implemented by ICTV for analysis of the Reoviridae family[22]. MEGA was used to produce phylogenetic trees, reconstructed through the Neighbor Joining (NJ) method. The statistical significance of a particular tree topology was evaluated by bootstrap re-sampling of the sequences 1000 times.
