Robert Adams made his well-known statement in his book The New West - Landscapes Along the Front Range -- "The subject of these pictures is.... the source of all form, LIGHT."
Indeed when looking at his images taken on the high plaines just east of the Front Range in Denver's suburbs one is overcome by the presence of light.
