Here's something kind of funky for your Lego city!

The three AMC cars that I've built so far. Having two of them side-by-side was satisfying, but having three now makes me so happy. The Rambler is still one of my favorite models to date, too. Hm, maybe that should be my next group photo: my top 5 favorites. That would actually be hard to choose!

P.S. Thanks so much to THE LEGO CAR BLOG for featuring The Machine last week.

P.P.S. I have the parts for 1 more car in the mail right now, but once that one's up, expect some downtime, or maybe just some group photos of existing models for a bit. The Coronavirus thing means I can't keep buying bricks and I'll be taking a break on new builds. I worked in a restaurant and am now going onto unemployment, so every penny counts right now.

This is a wonderful set of photos (the persona created by Claire, I am only the frame on which the dresses and makeup sit). The little black dress (AMC's) and the hair were put together by Claire, along with the pearls. A classy and elegant combination in the style of Audrey Hepburn, a style icon.

Many thanks to Claire for the look.

The AMC Eagle is a compact four-wheel drive passenger vehicle manufactured and marketed by American Motors Corporation (AMC) model years 1980 to 1987 and Chrysler Corporation, following its acquisition of AMC in 1987, for the 1988 model year.

Introduced in August 1979 for the 1980 model year, the coupe, sedan, and station wagon body styles were based on the AMC Concord.

For 1988, its final model year, only a station wagon was offered, which was marketed as the "Eagle Wagon". However, the name continued to be used by Chrysler Corporation as the Eagle brand of cars through 1998.

The AMC Eagles were the only four-wheel drive passenger cars produced in the U.S. at the time. All models featured "passenger-car comfort, plus 4WD security for all-weather security."Although the description was not in use at the time, the AMC Eagle is recognized as one of the first crossover vehicles.

The objective was for affordable cars offering a comfortable ride and handling on the pavement together with superior traction in light off-road use through AMC's innovative engineering and packaging.

The 1980 Eagle's appearance differed from the Concord's in that the bodies were raised 3 in (76 mm) further off their suspension to afford better ground clearance. To fill in the increased visual space between the tires and wheel wells, AMC used durable Kraton (polymer) plastic wheel arch flares that flowed into rocker panel extensions.

The Ambassador was the top-of-the-line automobile produced by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) from 1958 until 1974. The vehicle was known as the AMC Ambassador, Ambassador V-8 by Rambler, and Rambler Ambassador at various times during its tenure in production. Previously, the name Ambassador had applied to Nash's "senior" full-size cars.

The Ambassador nameplate was used continuously from 1927 until 1974 (the name being a top-level trim line between 1927 and 1931); at the time it was discontinued, Ambassador was the longest continuously used nameplate in automotive history.

Most Ambassador models were built in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They were also built at AMC's Brampton Assembly in Brampton, Ontario from 1963 to 1966.
