Definition:
Alignment is the location that each elements of the text is relative to all the other elements.
Explanation:
Here there is an example of alignment and misalignment both used to convey a message. All the switches are pulled to the “off” position making them all in alignment showing that it is all in agreement. Conversely, the boxes themselves while all in a row are all slightly misaligned showing wear and age.
The main design feature put forward by Maya Lin was that it was perfectly in line with the Washington Monument.

Turns out getting it to print what I want, where I want, how I want it is much harder than it looks.
This section of old Pacific Hwy through Condong was bypassed about 1980.
This is at the southern end of the old alignment, at it's connection with a more recently bypassed alignment (1998), now called the Tweed Valley Way.
