Can place a straight edge along back of x members as reference, and then make sure you have the same measurement on each side from straight edge to some feature on ball joint. For caster, use 3 deg for manual, 6 for power steering. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH THREAD ENGAGEMENT IN SLEEVES! 1.5 x shaft dia. required. Speedway has longer sleeves if needed. Caster angle is tilt (backward) of a line through top and bottom ball joints w.r.t. vertical plane across width of car. The more the top ball joint is brought behind the lower ball joint, the more effort is required to move away from centered steering.
If you can get a section of straight edge against right part of the spindle (parallel to axis through ball joints) there is an iphone app to measure angle directly.
The stone in foreground forms part of the row and the one behind part of a setting.

[Alignment] The website for Dallas’ local Murray Street Coffee Shop proposes the alignment design principle. The top section is scaled to evenly align with the three lower columns. The text has different alignments across the website; align left, right, & center. But I think it works okay with it’s simple design. To put it in simplistic terms, it’s a grid with pictures.
