Paint progress on "The Beast" ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Sculpt/Paint update on Ripley- 1:18 scale - ALIEN 79
Ripley's head sculpt has gone through an evolution since 2012 when I started this project. This particular sculpt is a variant from the master- wearing a headset as most the crew did during the Nostromo's landing and ascension from the planet. This, the master sculpt and two others (one being with her hair up) will round out Ripley's likeness. Also included in the shot is the beginning paint work on Jonesy the Cat as well as multiple Working Joes from Alien: Isolation - (6) plus master that will be made. ‪#‎alien‬ ‪#‎alienisolation‬ ‪#‎nostromo‬ ‪#‎ripley‬ ‪#‎painting‬ ‪#‎sculpting‬
The long tail of the beast - Alien: Isolation - :18 scale. Assembling and sculpting the alien from the Creative Assembly game. The tail is twice as long as the 79 beastie - just took the original tail and doubled the length. Currently it is hard plastic...hope to make a bendy tail from it soon. Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees etc.....similar to the 79 Alien I'm finishing up. Sculpting the new lower legs that are similar to the runner (dog) alien in Alien3 so it's a good introduction to what awaits me when I continue to build that particular beast. Sculpt progress on "The Alien" as seen in the Creative Assembly game release, Alien: Isolation. 1:18 scale. Using cast parts from my existing beast (alien 79) I am modifying the articulation, parts of the sculpt and will be creating new lower legs for the creature. The legs will not be as articulated as the former Big Chap but I'm not bothered by it. The head is also in the midst of some slight modification and I have created a ball socket in the neck to allow the head to lay farther back as it's form resembles more of a crouched, "dinosaur-like" creature than that of it's cousin. Hip adjustments made to Amanda Ripley - 1:18 scale - Alien: Isolation. If you recall I replaced the figures hinged hips will ball jointed. Finished sculpting over the exposed parts and the articulation has much improved. Working on accessories like the tracker, flame unit and additional weapons.
