Build update on the Nostromo Sleep Chamber / Crew Sculpts. ALIEN 1979. 1:18 scale. Sculpted using Aves FIXIT. A scratch built diorama work in progress.

Next up for the sleeping crew are Lambert and Dallas. Both are static sculpts, non-articulated. I haven't added the monitoring pads yet and there are a couple minor details that need to be added but all in all they are complete.

Sculpted the bedding for each figurine so they fit securely into place.

Next up is Ripley and Jonesy - Even though it's not officially seen in the film, I believe the cat was included in Ripley's sleep chamber as it was in the Narcissus at the end of the film.

I'm using resin casts from my Narcissus Ripley sculpt to build not only the Nostromo Sleep Chamber version of Ellen Ripley but also the Narcissus version and another of her daughter, Amanda Ripley from Alien: Isolation.

Not sculpting the breasts mind you...just a filler. Taking away the combat is a fine formula for survival horror.

...quite possibly one of the reasons to why I had never picked up a copy of Haunting Grounds (デメント , 2005).

Slowly building the beast from Alien: Isolation - 1:18 scale. I'm thinking that the lower half of this beast will have limited articulation because of stability...perhaps not. I haven't decided yet. I don't see a reason for the upper legs to ever straighten vertically. Right now concentrating on the sculpt of the lower legs. The long tail of the beast - Alien: Isolation - :18 scale. Assembling and sculpting the alien from the Creative Assembly game. The tail is twice as long as the 79 beastie - just took the original tail and doubled the length. Currently it is hard plastic...hope to make a bendy tail from it soon. Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees etc.....similar to the 79 Alien I'm finishing up. Sculpting the new lower legs that are similar to the runner (dog) alien in Alien3 so it's a good introduction to what awaits me when I continue to build that particular beast. trying to complete the sculpts to the Nostromo EVA suits. Planning on casting several empties to place in the airlock compartments and hopefully retool to make EVA's for Alien Isolation. Hip adjustments made to Amanda Ripley - 1:18 scale - Alien: Isolation. If you recall I replaced the figures hinged hips will ball jointed. Finished sculpting over the exposed parts and the articulation has much improved. Working on accessories like the tracker, flame unit and additional weapons.
