Full game outtakes - I wonder if this would be interesting to anyone, it's an album of outtakes from setting up and tweaking for shots. A lot of stuff just doesn't make the cut. Watch out though, there are a lot of HUDs and shoddy native res quality in there. :P

Banding is less evil in the original. The original downsampled shot lies somewhere in between.
I used a close to 90 degree tilt in the game and tilted it back in post to get a vertical flare going. Capturing the spark at the right time was fun.
PS4 screenshot of the first encounter with the Xenomorph in Alien Isolation. Its an early scripted encounter to set the scene. The Alien doesn't fully come into play into the game just yet. I think you may be able to be killed if you immediately follow it after it leaves the room, but I've not had the courage to try it out.
For these two shots I tried to align the game scene with Giger's original artwork, as well as work with post-processing to get close to the same colors. Pay a bit of a late tribute, if you will.

Jeez, I feel like I'm in such a screenshotting rut. I hope this can break it.
It took SO long to get the shadows to fall just right here. They're cast by large chunks of debris floating slowly by, outside the station. They're tumbling chaotically, and most of the time, the shadows would either fall totally or just wrong, or they'd be an aliased mess. Add to that the fact that my alien's head is constantly jerking to all sides, and occasionally the whole body would start spinning round like one of those ballerina's in a box... Good old screenshooting fun times.
This one was an accident.. I went to check out the alien in another room using freecam, but as soon as the door closed the room went black and just his character model was left.
A few odd outtakes here, in this one he's jumping up to an imaginary vent :)
