"Alien" (1979) is one of my all time favorite movies. I've been picking up the 7" NECA figures and I've started working with them here in the studio. I've been building a small "set" using black plastic wire piping and mini-copper LED lights and my new favorite stuff: Atmosphere Aerosol. I also picked up a set of to-scale Alien Eggs and the most recent image has those in it.
I love this, and I love the direction that it's heading in.

I've FINALLY finished my alien scarf - given that I started this ... oh.... back in March?!
Still, just in time for the colder weather!
Next project won't be a scarf ... how shocking is that?!

Seen at St Helier docks, Channel Islands. Would not look out of place emerging from an alien cylinder recently arrived on Clapham Common, a la "War of the Worlds"
This alien invader flew down from overhead and just as I began to get acquainted he disappeared without a warning back into the blue skies he came down from.
It reminds me of an alien space station, not sure what it is but it is from the earthly realm. Maybe it's a water tank or something. I am clueless, perhaps someone can tell me what it is.
This is Simile. At least, it might be him...I can't be sure. I'm thinking it's more likely he's been abducted by aliens and replaced with a duplicate, or maybe they did some kind of experiment on him that tampered with his DNA.
Look at his eyes. They're so...normal.
This is not the cat I know. The one I know was born 2 years ago, and right from birth feared all things human. He spent most of those 2 years running away when a person got too close, as though he feared we might eat him. (Oddly, all of my other cats remain present and accounted for, but he still seemed to think we human types must eat cats.) If I cornered him to **GASP** pet him, he'd hiss, and then remain in a tight ball the entire time while I viciously scratched his cheeks and pet his head. Despite such encounters, he managed to survive...and you'd think that might have been a clue that he's not on the dinner menu. But for all of those two years, he never warmed up to humans, and lived mostly behind the couch.
When I figured out it was him who had started marking all around the house, I relocated him to the screened-in porch and tried to figure out what to do about this poor guy. I was reasonably sure the marking was a symptom of stress. Knowing I couldn't get him into a carrier without the risk of losing limbs (I got a nasty bite trying recently), I finally had my vet come out to the house. We talked it over, and decided to try some kind of herbal meds that were supposed to be calming. I seriously doubted anything short of Prozac and serious psychotherapy would help, but was willing to try.
Look at those eyes again. The cat I know had wide, fearful eyes with dilated pupils every time he saw a human. I shot this through the slider door, but I was no more than a foot or two away from him at the time. The cat I know would have bolted, a look of utter horror on his furry little face.
In this shot, you might mistake him for his brother, Metaphor. He looks calm, maybe curious...but oddly not as though he fears for his life. Yesterday, when I cornered him, he not only allowed me to pet him all the way to the end of his tail, but seemed to ENJOY it. He even exposed his tummy to me for the very first time. This is definitely not the cat I know.
If you doubt there's such a thing as alien abduction, you might want to consider this photo as potential evidence. Personally, I rather like these aliens. I'm rather hoping they abduct him a few more times, so maybe he'll turn into a lap cat. Clearly, stranger things have happened.
Yep, alien abduction. I'm good with that.
Rapimenti Alieni

A soldier tries to escape from his taken over battleship but encounters a heavily armored Alien. If the Alien turns and sees, he could be in trouble. Should the alien win, or the soldier... You decide.
These orange alien figures have appeared in the 'Park n Ride' carpark of Bridlington's south shore.
They are pedestrian lane markers painted by the local Council workers that lined the carpark ready for all the day trippers that visit over the summer.
