BBSM blocked the national highway at Porvorim
Several BBSM supporters including Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar, Mandrem MLA Laxmikant Parsekar, Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar, Mayem MLA Anant Shet and Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar sat on the road at O’Coqueiro junction at around 9 am, blocking Panjim, Mapusa and Saligao bound vehicular traffic.
Chaotic scenes were witnessed as hundreds of vehicles choked NH-17 and internal roads of Porvorim plateau. Police had a tough time controlling traffic.
Later, BBSM Convenor Shashikala Kakodkar in her speech condemned the State Government for its decision offering grants to English Primary schools and announced that as a first step towards its agitation, BBSM has decided to observe ‘Goa Bandh’ on June 6.
II
A group of protestors blocked the national highway in Goa to protest the state government's decision to give grants to schools where English is the medium of instruction, saying it will be a death knell for regional languages.
The agitators, who are part of the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM), blocked the national highway at Porvorim, 30 km from here.
If the Congress-led coalition government does not roll back its decision than we will be forced to have a mass agitation, said Shashikala Kakodkar, former chief minister and convenor of BBSM, threatening an all-Goa bandh June 6.
The debate in Goa comes against the backdrop of the central Right to Education (RTE) Act, which envisions the childs mother tongue - in Goas case largely Konkani or Marathi -- as the medium of instruction. The act is scheduled to be ratified in the state legislative assembly soon.
Until Wednesday, the Goa government offered aid and grants only to schools in which Konkani or Marathi is used to teach. A cabinet decision May 25, allowed English schools to avail government grants

The surrounding gardens are packed with tropical plants and when we were there we heard the gardener at work some 15 meters away. I think the surrounding luxury villas make sure also this garden is kept nice and tidy. We managed to avoid the gardener and did our thing in the Mediterranean sun.

By current calculations the ship is 104 studs from Agitator front to rear of the second section. That means I can reduce overall length, as adding the rear section is at least another 32 studs.

This a 2670 T/line hauled Vaughan Transport Tuatliner, as yet not sign written. I had come down from Sydney with a cement mixer agitator Drum. Shepparton was flooded, I think the waters might have been going down by this time.
I thought it was that road it was Drummond Road, because even though it's about twenty five years ago, I remember it having a bend in it. I did a Google maps & street search, but couldn't locate the exact photo location, but going to the end of / or start of the Drummond Road, I saw that I took the photo from the intersection of New Dookie Road and Drummond Road. The last letters of the sign, RS is the end Furphy Engineers. This street view is not very clear, but is very close to where I took the photo.

Lizzy: Doctor Allie? my son wanted me to help you getting some Berry.. Lilly.. um.. Agi.. something
Allie Filmore: it is not a berry! we're retrieving the Beryllium Agitator, a nuclear core that could provide power for the Institute for thousands of years
Lizzy: that sounds.. good? but the surface is too dangerous for you. why don't you just tell me-
Allie: I'm well aware of the dangers
Lizzy: why don't I believe that? guess I'll have to use my sniper rifle to keep you safe, instead of claws..
Allie: Claws? you can't be serious. Father did say there was something unique about you. you must let me study your internal systems!
Lizzy: that's.. a strange request. lets get this done first?

CLONMEL, COUNTY TIPPERARY.
As its name suggests, it was here that the main guard of the town troops for Clonmel were once stationed. During the siege of Clonmel in 1650 the old Manor Court was destroyed, and after the restoration of the Duke of Ormond's palatinate rights in 1662 he ordered the building of a new courthouse. It was completed in 1674. The rumour abounds that Christopher Wren designed the Main Guard, but no evidence exists to support this claim.
A Versatile and Much-Altered Building
The building's most striking features are its five semi-circular arches and a handsome clock and bell tower. On the west wall can be seen two coats of arms: those of the Borough of Clonmel and those of the Ormond family, both bearing the date 1675. For a number of years the arches were hidden, as Lewis, writing in 1837, recorded: "The ground floor has some years since been converted to shops". Also in the courthouse were private apartments, a dining room and a drawing room. These were used to entertain James II in Clonmel in 1689. The building was also used as a "tholsel", that is, a building where tolls, duties or customs were gathered.
After the Ormond palatinate became redundant in 1715 the Clonmel Assize Court was held in the building, and it was there that Fr. Nicholas Sheehy, the anti-Penal agitator, was tried in 1766. When the new courthouse was built in 1810 all trials were moved from the Main Guard and the building became a barracks. In 1820 Pigot's Commercial Dictionary stated that the building "is devoted to the use of the soldiery, possesses a good clock, is known by the name of the Main Guard and stands at the entrance into Main Street." (now O'Connell Street).
In recent years the Main Guard has undergone substantial renovation by the Office of Public Works, who have brought the building back to its original 17th Century design. The Main Guard is open to visitors from March to late October.

Repairing the agitator in my 1994 (!) Whirlpool clothes washer, model number LSC8244BQ0.
The upper part of the agitator assembly stopped turning because the molded teeth on four plastic "directional cogs," also called "agitator dogs," had finally worn away.
These cogs engage with fixed teeth around the inside of the upper part of the agitator, but in one direction only. They allow the lower part of the agitator to turn the upper part in the one, desired direction.
When the lower part of the agitator moves in the opposite direction, the teeth on the cogs slip past the teeth inside the upper part of the agitator, and the upper part remains stationary.
The agitator cogs are made of some kind of plastic that appears to be softer than the teeth inside the upper half of the agitator. After years of use, the teeth on the cogs wear out, and the cogs are unable to turn the upper half of t he agitator in any direction.
The old, worn cogs are darkened from age and are at the top right in this photo. The new cogs are below them, and a careful look will reveal the teeth molded into the "outer" ends of each new cog.
Those same teeth are completely worn away from the old agitator cogs, leaving them unable to turn the upper part of the agitator.
A complete set of four replacement cogs, which came in the plastic bag on the left, was less than USD $7, including tax!

The Postcard
A Sapphire Series postcard that was posted in Great Yarmouth on Tuesday the 4th. September 1973. The artwork was by Quip.
The card was posted to:
Bruce Calder,
62 St. Nicholas Road,
Plumstead,
London S.E.18.
The message on the divided back of the card was as follows:
"Hi Bruce,
The boat broke down
after running for half an
hour - choke problem.
We got over it.
Having a crash course
for the ravers here at
Great Yarmouth.
John".
Elise Ottesen-Jensen
So what else happened on the day that John sent the card to Bruce?
Well, the 4th. September 1973 was not a good day for Elise Ottesen-Jensen, because she died in Stockholm at the age of 87 on that day.
Elise Ottesen-Jensen, also known as Ottar, was a Norwegian-Swedish sex educator, journalist and anarchist agitator, whose main mission was to fight for women's rights to understand and control their own body and sexuality.
Ottar's followers consider her a pioneer in the field of women's rights and feminism.
Her personal motto was:
"I dream of the day when every new
born child is welcome, when men and
women are equal, and when sexuality
is an expression of intimacy, joy and
tenderness."
Elise Ottesen-Jensen - The Early Years
A vicar's daughter, Ottar was born on the 2nd. January 1886 as Elise Ottesen in the municipality of Høyland in Norway. She was Immanuel Ottesen and Karen Arselle Essendrop's 17th. out of 18 children, and as was customary in Norway at that time, she was named Elise after her sister who had died as an infant the year before.
Later in life, her father sent away her little sister Magnhild to give birth in Denmark, so that she could be forced to give up her child. Magnhild was told nothing about pregnancy or birth, and for nine months she feared that her stomach would just split. She committed suicide because of the longing for the child she had to leave behind. For this, Ottar could never forgive her father, and the fate of her sister became a strong driving force for her commitment to the struggle for women's rights.
Ottar's Career
Ottar's dream was to become a dentist, but an explosion in the chemistry laboratory of her high school injured her fingers, spoiling her chances of pursuing a dental career.
Instead she started to work in a newspaper, and eventually became a journalist. She had always questioned the preachings of her father, and had soon decided that she was not a Christian. She now found that her sympathies were with the socialists, and it was with them she would struggle for the rest of her life.
Ottar made several attempts to organize working class women, but soon they started asking her for advice in sexual matters, asking her questions like "Do I always have to when my husband wants to?", "What can I do to avoid getting pregnant?".
By the end of the Great War Ottar had developed a close friendship with the Swedish anarcho-syndicalist peace agitator Albert Jensen. They married in 1931, and Elise Ottesen changed her surname to Ottesen-Jensen. When Albert was expelled from Norway, she went with him to Denmark. There, she gave birth to their child, who died soon after birth.
Ottar and Albert moved to Sweden, and she came to know a doctor who amongst other things taught her how to use a diaphragm. She then set out for her first nationwide tour, teaching Swedish women how to avoid pregnancy.
Ottar agitated for the right for women to experience sexual pleasure, for free abortion, for the repealing of the laws against contraceptives, for gay rights, and more. What she did was at the time illegal, and she risked harsh penalties.
In 1933, Ottar, together with a number of radical medical doctors and trade union representatives, founded the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education. She became its first President, and held this post until 1956.
Ottesen-Jensen was also one of the founders of the International Planned Parenthood Federation in 1953.

Unloading the Agitator drum at Shepparton, they were not happy at it being loaded into a Tautliner. While I was sympathetic to them, having to unload it out of the Tautliner with not much room to spare, I was just happy I didn't have an old flat top trailer with dogs and chains and probably gates and tarps on the rest of the load that was to go through to Melbourne.

Seaton Carew is a seaside resort in County Durham, northern England, with a population of 6,018 (2017). The area is named after a Norman French family called Carou who owned lands in the area and settled there, while 'Seaton' means farmstead or settlement by the sea. The resort falls within the unitary authority of Hartlepool.
It separated from most of Hartlepool by the Durham Coast Line. The resort is on the North Sea coast and north of the river Tees estuary.
There is evidence that the area was occupied in Roman times as vestiges of Roman buildings, coins and artefacts are occasionally found on the beach. Later during the reign of Henry I, Seaton came into the possession of Robert De Carrowe and the settlement changed its name to Seaton Carrowe. In medieval times salt was extracted from sea water by evaporation and ash from the fuel used to remove the water was dumped on North Gare and now forms a series of grass covered mounds on the golf course.[9] A Gilbertine priory or cell to Sempringham Priory was established in the Seaton area although so far no trace has been found. In 1667 a gun fortification was built on the promontory of Seaton Snook to defend the mouth of the Tees, particularly against the Dutch—remnants of these fortifications can be seen today.
Seaton Carew was a fishing village but grew in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries as a seaside holiday resort for wealthy Quaker families from Darlington, effectively founding Seaton Carew as a seaside resort. Many stayed at the rows of stucco houses and hotels built along the seafront and around The Green—a turfed square facing the sea.
In 1867 a hoard of Spanish silver dollars was revealed in the sands following a heavy storm.
In 1874 the Durham and Yorkshire Golf Club (now Seaton Carew Golf Club) was founded by Duncan McCuaig, with a 14-hole course on coastal land to the south-east of Seaton Carew. Four holes were added in 1891 and in 1925 further work was carried out with the guidance of renowned golf course designer Alister MacKenzie.
In 1882 Seaton Carew was incorporated into West Hartlepool and the Museum of Hartlepool records that a small riot involving Irish labourers took place in the late Victorian era, when townsfolk mistook them for Fenian agitators.
Just north of Seaton was the works of the West Hartlepool Steel & Iron Company. In 1898 Christopher Furness and W.C. Gray of West Hartlepool purchased the Stockton Malleable Iron Works, the Moor Steel and Iron Works, and the West Hartlepool Steel and Iron Works to form the South Durham Steel and Iron Company. This became part of the British Steel Corporation in 1967. The West Hartlepool Steel and Iron Works is thought to have closed in 1979.
Tourists and visitors are attracted to the resort's four miles of sandy beach, promenade, arcades, and fish and chip restaurants. The beach is regularly cleaned and is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer holidays. In 2019 the main beach was given an 'excellent' bathing rating by the Environment Agency and was granted a Seaside Award by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The artist and leading railway poster designer Frank Henry Mason (1875–1965) was born at Seaton Carew and briefly worked in a Hartlepool shipyard.
The science fiction writer Mark Adlard was born in Seaton Carew in 1932[53] and for a time he lived on The Green.
Neil Warnock, football manager/pundit, lived in Seaton Carew when he played for Hartlepool United.
Footballer Evan Horwood grew up in Seaton before moving to Yorkshire to play for Sheffield United. He has also played for Carlisle United F.C., Hartlepool United and Tranmere Rovers.
John Darwin and his wife Anne lived in Seaton when John faked his death in a canoeing accident in 2002. The story made the news across the world and it inspired a BBC drama documentary on the Darwins' lives

Kosun is one of the leading solids control solution companies in China which provides the high standard good quality solids control equipment for Oil Gas Drilling Mud and HDD Fluids System.
ZCQ vacuum degasser is a special-purpose device for the treatment of gas-cut drilling fluids. It’s applied to match to various mud purification systems. It is very important for returning mud gravity, stabilizing mud viscosity and reducing drilling cost. Also, at the same time it can be used as a heavy-power agitator during the operation of gas free mud.
