This villa was built in the 18th century on one of the most beautiful places on earth with a killer view! Only this view will add a million dollars to the price of these grounds. It was built by a wealthy baron who built it as his summer house. When the baron left, rumours say that the villa was owned by anarchists, Utopians and agitators. At one time even they left and currently the place is awaiting to be bought. Probably for some several millions…

This striking building is San Francisco's third church dedicated to St Mary; the first, dating from 1854 remains as 'Old St Mary's Church' on the edge of Chinatown, but this is a direct replacement of the second, built 1891 and destroyed by arson in 1962. That was a time of considerable modernisation in catholicism, which encouraged the commissioning of a bold new design dominated (overwhelmed?) by a concrete saddle roof smoothly curving via hyperbolic paraboloids from a 75 m square cross-section at its base to a Greek cross cross-section at its 58m-high apex (75 m including the rooftop spire's cross, barely visible from this angle – which probably isn't the best from which to appreciate the intersecting curves either, but others have taken those photos; I wanted to highlight the often-overlooked angularity).
I'm not sure precisely who designed the cathedral. It's clear that three local architects (John Michael Lee, Paul A. Ryan and Angus McSweeney) worked with the internationally-renowned Pier Luigi Nervi and Pietro Belluschi – did the latter two, acting as consultants, devise a concept executed by the former three? Nervi and Belluschi were certainly known for monumental concrete structures.
Development of the site began in 1965; the cornerstone was laid in 1967, construction ended in 1970 and the new cathedral was consecrated in May 1971, though formal dedication to Saint Mary of the Assumption didn't take place until 1996, somewhat later than its first papal mass: John Paul II visited in 1987.
Irrespective of its 'official' name, St Mary's Cathedral is also known locally as 'Our Lady of Maytag', for its supposed external resemblance to a top-loading washing machine's agitator. [Maytag is apparently a US brand of washing machines, which hadn't previously entered my European awareness!]
I'm afraid I also haven't been able to identify the artist of the frieze over the entrance, which depicts the Rapture. Any ideas?
That's the Civic Center complex on the left of the background, with the cupola of the City Hall dome visible ~800 m away.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am Citizen Hoang Minh Chinh, born on 11-16-1922, former Secretary General of the Vietnam Democratic Party and former Head of the Vietnam Philosophy Institute.
I'd like to urgently report to you a serious event that happened at about 12:30 on Thursday 12-01-2005, in alley 26 of Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District, after my wife Le Thi Hong, my son-in-law, and I came back home from Hochiminh city on the 9:30 flight. To our surprise, we were immediately surrounded by dozens of waiting agitators who yelled loudly at us with slanders in dirty language, implying that I "had taken advantage of the trip to the United States for medical treatment, generously permitted by the party and the state, to make statements against them and behaved like a traitor to the country and the people and now I must be punished" The crowd, increasingly violent, began to attack us during our dozens of walks home with tomatoes, including efforts to hold my shirt and break water bottles on my head, cursing and threatening my relatives who were protecting me. The whole scene was continuously recorded by six cameras of various sizes already set up nearby.
After we entered our house, a niece-in-law of mine immediately locked the front door, leaving the crowd to remain in the yard to continue its crazy shouts and yelling. Some even demanded to come in and interrogate me against the defense of my relatives who had to stand the disturbances that lasted hours with physical brutalities against them and threats to break the door and hurt them. They kept calm and stood firm while providing the mob with polite explanation: "The old man was severely sick and is so exhausted by the trip that he is unable to answer your questions at this time. If he committed any crime, the state would punish him according to the law. It is an illegal act of you trying to enter our private house without our consent." The crowd continued yelling and shouting: "We don't need the law; the state did imprison him one year, yet, he went abroad to make wrong statements" In addition to about thirty elbowing people in the yard with cameras rolling, there were almost one hundred others standing closely against each other outside the iron gate, with a few of them even managing to climb over the fence and encouraging others to make so dirty utterances that can't be repeated on paper
In that critical situation, my wife called several police offices and authorities for help. All of them gave excuses to avoid responsibilities. Only the emergency police unit 113 responded, after several calls from my family, by sending over three policemen (two names could be seen above their breast pockets as Quoc, deputy, and Ngoc). They looked at the scene and, before leaving, said: "This is the consequence of what Mr. Chinh has done in America. We don't see any violence and there's nothing for us to intervene."
Around 2:30pm, the crazy crowd ordered us "to open the door in five minutes or it will be destroyed." My children continued to stand fast as some members of the mob successfully broke the window panes, jumped in and tried to force the door down while others used sticks to hit other windows and threw bottles of stinking shrimp paste inside my house. It was a scary horrible moment. Suddenly, they quietly told one another to 'retreat' as many of them shouted, "now we don't need to talk to that Hoang Minh Chinh, even if he invited us." They had apparently been ordered to leave, since they all disappeared within five minutes. My children waited some more time before opening the door.
According to some neighbors present at the scene, there were up to ten policemen in uniform waiting in the street. The event proved the police had allowed and encouraged violent brutalities against us and violations of the civil rights of my whole family.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
What has been described above was clearly part of some scheme.
1. During my stay in America for medical treatment, all newspapers in Vietnam, unanimously and at free will, carried articles of illegal fabrication, smearing, and slandering, from October 14 to 30, 2005, aimed at Citizen Hoang Minh Chinh. I did report all this in my request dated 10-31-2005 to sue the media before the Hanoi Court and Investigation Court. I have heard nothing from them since.
2. After my return to Vietnam and during my stay at my daughter's residence in Hochiminh city, her house was terrorized. I have sent my urgent report No. 1 dated 11-21-2005 about this act of terrorism to state authorities at all levels and to international agencies.
3. When I returned to Hanoi on 12-1-2005, it was the police who organized the disturbances mentioned above.
4. Terrorist acts and slandering by Vietnamese media and police obviously purport to cause serious harm to my own life and honor. They have violated Article 17 of the Constitution which stipulates that: "Citizens have the right to have their life, well-being, honor, and dignity protected by the law, and all violations of such protections are prohibited." Nevertheless, these agencies have violated Article 121 of the Criminal Law about smearing other citizens, and Article 122 about slandering.
According to Articles 69, 71, 72, and 73 of the Constitution, and Articles 121 and 122 of the Criminal Law, we demand that the state consider and properly carry out such laws to maintain the seriousness of the nation's legal system.
We also wholeheartedly suggest that international opinion demand Hanoi to respect the United Nations Charter and its Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights that Vietnam has been a signatory.
Thank you very much.

The molecular biology researcher's paradise: the bench. Underneath this apparent "boxon" (a mess), hides hours of work. It contains all the equipment of the perfect biologist: pipettes, tips, racks, agitator (vortex), and the many chemicals to carry out our research. But don't get me wrong, it's an organized messy place!
This photograph was taken at a crucial moment in the life of a researcher: for the ultimate experiment to publish the results.

PALESTINE ARABS DIFFER ON MANDATE, 4 August, #1922Live, The American Jewish World
Jerusalem, July 31 (J. T. A.) - Announcement has been made that the Zionist Executive in Palestine is in receipt of a message from the Moslem Association of Haifa, congratulating the Zionists on the ratification of the Palestine Mandate, which the message declares opens a new era for the happiness of all sections of the population. The Moslem Association of Haifa was organized following the disagreement with the Christian section of the Moslem-Christian Society of that place.
Instransigent Arab agitators are visiting villages in an effort to influence the fellahim to sign petitions against the British Mandate.
That the Palestine Arabs are far from unanimous in their opinions on the desired political status is best shown by the anxiety of some of the villagers to sell land to Jews, often at prohibitive prices, but always in direct disregard of the exhortations of Arab leaders not to transfer land to Jews.
The Arab members of the Advisory Council established by the High Commissioner, refused at the monthly meeting on Friday to vote in favor of the loan to be launched by the Palestine government, some of the Arab members alleging that as the Council is not to control the expenditure of the loan, they saw no reason for sanctioning it.”

JEWRY CALLED UPON TO AID PALESTINE RECONSTRUCTION TASK, 4 August, #1922Live, The American Jewish World
The Executive Committee of the World Zionist Organization and the administration of the Keren Hayesod have published manifestoes addressed to Jewry in general and to the Zionists in particular, sending forth a call to all Jews to rally to the reconstruction of the Jewish Homeland.
The Zionist Manifesto, after referring to the Basle program adopted by the First Zionist Congress 25 years ago, says:
“The League of Nations has unanimously recognized the Jewish people’s right to reconstitute their home in Palestine and has entrusted to Great Britain the task of carrying out this decision.
By virtue of this act of international law, significant alike for both the Jewish people and the community of nations, the political aim of the Basle program has been fulfilled. The Jewish people now has a mighty, noble task to create its home, not only for its own good, but also for the good of the land, for the welfare of its non-Jewish inhabitants, and for the advancement of humanity.
The League of Nations has recognized a Jewish Agency as a body to gather the forces for and utilize and achieve this task.
Article IV of the Mandate reads; ‘An appropriate Jewish Agency shall be recognized as public body for the purpose of advising and cooperating with the Administration of Palestine in such economic, social and other matters as may affect the establishment of the Jewish national home and the interests of the Jewish population in Palestine, and subject always to the Administration, to assist and take part in the development of the country.
The Zionist organization, so long as its organization and constitution are in the opinion of the Mandatory appropriate, shall be recognized as such agency. It shall take steps in consultation with his Britannic Majesty’s government to secure the cooperation of all Jews who are willing to assist in the establishment of the Jewish national home.
Fellow Jews, we have been set a great and responsible task. At this solemn hour this call goes forth to all of you to mobilize all Jewish forces for the carrying out of the reconstruction of Palestine. These great enterprises and this great burden must be borne in co-operation by the whole of Jewry.
Zionists, we appeal to you to use the four weeks separating us from the Jahresconferenz by exerting your energies to the very utmost. Let you deeds and sacrifices show that the great moment has found the Zionists prepared. Gather new forces, secure new adherents, give your leaders the means for the maintenance and development of the Zionist organization. We are building upon your enthusiasm, your sense of duty, your feeling of solidarity, your political intelligence, your seriousness, your labors, your promptitude and your actions. By deeds and sacrifices alone will the home be rebuilt.”
The manifesto of the Keren Hayesod enumerates the steps to be taken by every Jew at this moment. Every Jew who has not yet subscribed his “maaser” is called upon, in the first instance, to immediately pledge himself and pay forthwith the full first year’s instalment. Secondly, every Jew is called upon to increase and immediately pay his “maaser” for the whole year. Thirdly, every Jew is called upon, without waiting for further remind, to pay within the next four weeks his obligations due for the current year.
The manifesto concludes as follows: “Do not stand aside. Do not forsake your brother.”

MUSLIM FESTIVAL, 5 August, #1922Live, Daily News (London)
In the grounds of the Muslim Mosque at Woking yesterday were hundreds of Muslims, strolling around in their brilliant native attire. The occasion was the celebration of the Muslim festival commemorating the sacrifice of Abraham. Among those present were representatives of Muslims from Africa, India, Turkistan, Afghanistan, Persia, Malay Straits, Arabia, Syria, Morocco, Palestine, Switzerland and Tunis, and members of the British Muslim Society, of which Lord Headley is the head, and his Holiness the Khwaja Kamapbuldin the founder.
In his address to the congregation His Holiness said the Allah was King and Ruler of the universe, and those who were rulers of the world to-day should follow him and secure the peace of the world without the mockery of Genoa and the hopelessness of the Hague Conference. To-day they called a nation bandits or cut-throats and to-morrow they went and shook hands with them as gentlemen simply to serve political ends and bring another nation to the dust.”

A TOURISTS CAR, 5 August, #1922Live, Spalding Guardian
A good deal of curiosity was aroused amongst the people of the Holbeach district by a large motor van which passed through there during the week placarded in large letters “Palestine for the Villages.”
The Ford van, which is named, “The Pathfinder,” is in charge of two ladies, the Misses Hammond and Beardmore, who, we understand, are touring the villages of England, on behalf of the London Society for promoting Christianity amongst the Jews, and they take with them into the villages as much of Palestine as is possible. They have with them various models such as Herod’s Temple, the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, and Arab tent, an Eastern inn, a sheepfold, a watred garden, and other models, thus enabling the villagers to realise what life in the East was like centuries ago, and also in a large measure what it is to-day.”

ANGORA, August 5 – Gen Ali Ishan Pasha, formerly commander of the Turkish army in Palestine, and more recently in command of the Turkish troops on the Afium Karahissar front has been removed from his command because of an ultimatum he sent to Mustapha Kemal, the Turkish nationalist leader.
In this communication Gen. Ali Ishan demanded that he be promoted to chief of command on the Greek front, replacing Gen. Ismet Pasha, whom he described as incapable of realizing the army’s aims. He threatened to take independent action in event of refusal. Gen. Ali Ishan has been brought here for court-martial.”

Power concedes nothing without a demand.
It never did and it never will.
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or both.
The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.

'Power Concedes Nothing' by Connie Rice
Carolyn Kellogg, Los Angeles Times
Connie Rice is known in Los Angeles as a brilliant civil rights advocate and agitator, but people farther afield have often confused her with Condi, the former secretary of State. Connie narrowly escaped being Condoleezza, a family name; the two Rices are second cousins (and hold disparate political beliefs). Connie Rice dispenses with any confusion in the first pages of her memoir "Power Concedes Nothing" so she can get down to the business of telling her story.
That story begins with a family history that stretches back to slaves, slave owners and Native Americans. The way she sees it, her predecessors came out of servitude with tiny advantages — stability, resources, skills, determination — that set them on a trajectory to success. Rice was born to a career Air Force man and a biology teacher who valued learning; despite her peripatetic youth, Rice was confident, easily found a social niche and achieved academically.
Yet from a young age, she was aware that not everyone shared her fortune. The light-skinned Rice tells the story of a darker boy on an Arizona playground who asked, "What IS you?" — he couldn't believe that they were both black. With an uneasy sense of commonality, she pushed — something she does again and again in her life — and visited his home; it was her first genuine encounter with the deprivations of poverty. Rice looks back to that encounter not because of their shared identity but for what it revealed to her: the disparity of opportunity and circumstance. By her teens, steeped in the teachings of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and moved by Rep. Barbara Jordan, she was convinced she must "end the inequality conspiracy, not join it."
. . . Not long after she came to lead the Los Angeles office of the NAACP's Legal Defense Fund, she was still getting her bearings when the videotaped beating of Rodney King by officers of the LAPD in 1991 changed the game. The LDF became an advocate for police reform, in both its regular external dealings with the community and internally, where long-standing traditions stood in the way of racial and gender equality and voices for change. The LDF helped to launch class-action lawsuits against the LAPD and L.A. County Sheriff's Department to challenge different aspects of systemic abuse. Tensions rode high: Rice was even bodily thrown out of the offices of the Police Protective League.
That conflict made what happened later all the more remarkable: After news of police abuses blew up into the Rampart corruption scandal, it was the Police Protective League that called Rice. The league felt higher-ups, who'd been given a pass, should also be held responsible and thought an investigative report from its harshest critics might be the best way forward. Rice signed on to work with Erwin Chemerinsky, now head of the UC Irvine law school, and with a few bumps, found allies among her adversaries. In settling a suit against the LAPD's K-9 unit, for example, she discovered its own officers were ready to implement reforms of their own devising. All it took was finding the right lever to move obstacles out of the way.
All these efforts culminated in a massive 2007 report to the City Council, "A Call to Action: A Case for a Comprehensive Solution to L.A.'s Gang Violence Epidemic." Over more than 1,000 pages, it innovatively positioned gang violence as a public health issue and children's public safety as a right. Rice allows glimpses behind the scenes of how the report came to be, including a critical meeting between her and Mayor Villaraigosa, a former civil rights ally whose support was uncertain.

Rue de Marachel Foch, French Concession.
Roman Catholicism was introduced to the Chinese at Tientsin by French missionaries and the church has had somewhat of a chequered past in this northern port city and treaty port. In 1870, following reports amongst the local people that French nuns at an Orphan Asylum were selling little girls and cutting out the eyes of the boys to make foreign medicine, a mob rioted, destroyed foreign property and churches and massacred 21 foreigners, including 10 French nuns and an unknown number of Chinese converts; this event became known as the 'Tientsin Massacre'.
Even at the time of this church's construction, it aroused controversy; many patriotic movements in the city calls on residents and shopkeepers to boycott currency issued by the French banks in Tientsin to protest what it saw as a foreign building in the city. Indeed, a detachment of French troops were on permanent standby during the construction to guard against trouble-makers and other agitators. Notwithstanding the protests, St Joseph's Cathedral was built in the Romanesque Revival style and features twin domed towers - just visible in my shot. Hey all you students out there, you are entering university at a critical juncture. Capitalism is in crisis and the crisis is growing ever deeper. The inability of economists to incorporate externalities into their models and to account for phenomena such as species extinction, resource depletion and climate change – not to mention the 2008 financial meltdown that blindsided them all – has turned the profession into a target for derision and ridicule. And it’s not just some academic joke – today even ordinary people look down their noses at the ineptitude of economics.
So there are really two ways for you to approach your studies over the next few years: you can ignore all of the screaming inconsistencies and accept the status quo. You can cross your fingers and hope the old paradigm has a generation or two left in it, enough for you to carve out a career. Or you can align yourself from the get-go with the mavericks. You can be an agitator, a provocateur, a meme warrior, an occupier, one of the students on campus who posts dissenting messages up on notice boards and openly challenges professors in class. You can bet your future on a paradigm shift.
All of us here at Adbusters hope this book fires up your imagination and inspires you to take the riskier, more exciting path.

Types of mechanical flotation machine flotation machine, inflatable flotation machine, flotation machine or hybrid inflatable flotation machine, gas precipitation flotation machine.Mechanical flotation machineMechanical flotation machine and stirring the pulp of the inflatable are achieved by a mechanical agitator, air flotation machine is outside theSelf-priming flotation machines, pneumatic stirrer suction pump with similar characteristics, both air and self-absorption self absorption slurry.Mechanical flotation machine (commonly known as type A) which is characterized by:First, the cover is installed on the guide vanes 18 to 20.Second, the impeller, cover, vertical axis, the intake pipe, bearings, pulleys and other assembled - a whole part.Third, the trough installed in a circle around the vertical fin plate to prevent the pulp produced vortex.
Inflatable agitated flotation machineIts characteristics are:
1, inflated the amount of easy to separate regulation;
2, mechanical stirrer wear small;
3, the sorting index is better;
4, power consumption low.
Inflatable flotation machineInflatable flotation machine:
1, structural features: no mechanical stirrer is no transmission components;
2, inflatable features: inflatable device, the bubble size by the inflator restructuring; 3, bubbles mixed with the slurry characteristics: upstream mixed.
Uses: treatment composed of simple, high-grade, easy to choose ore sweep the election.
Flotation Machine Features
Flotation device has the following characteristics: low power consumption. Each slot both suction, suction slurry and flotation triple function, since as flotation circuit, without any auxiliary machine tools, the level of configuration, ease of process changes. Pulp cycle is reasonable, to minimize sand sedimentation. Cycle on the leaves in the pulp, the pulp produced under the leaves under the cycle.
Flotation machine working principle
Sorting machine is mainly used for flotation of copper, zinc, lead, nickel, gold and other non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals and can also be used for the roughing and selected non-metallic. Sorting machine driven by the impeller rotation V-belt drive motor, a centrifugal role in the formation of negative pressure, on the one hand inhalation of pulp mixed with sufficient air, mixing the pulp with the drug combination on the one hand, and refined bubble, the bubble on top of mineral bond, floating to the surface and then form a slurry bubble mineralization. Ram height adjustment, control surface, so that was useful for foam scraper scraped off.Slurry after mixing for pharmaceutical and flotation of the first chamber into the slot beneath the impeller rotation, a negative pressure in the wheel cavity, making the tank bottom and slot in the next slurry by the impeller and the suction into the suction mixing zone, the gas also makes the air along the guide sleeve into the mixing zone, pulp, air and mixed pharmaceutical here.In the impeller centrifugal force, a mixture of pulp into the mineralized zone, the formation of air bubbles and was crushed, and full access to coal particles, the formation of mineralized bubbles and turbulence in the stator plate under the action of uniformly distributed in the tank section, and move up into the separation zone, rich foam layer formed by the discharge body blow bubbles, the formation of coal bubble.Sorting swivel slow rotation, when the sorting room into the floating market area, this time selected by the slurry distributor of materials to six points, respectively, to the choice of site, the weak magnetic mineral particles being sucked in the tooth plate and with the sorting ring rotation. Non-magnetic mineral particles in the gravity and effect of pulp flow through the gap tooth plate, into the lower part of the tailings sorting ring slot. Go to the ore separation room cleaning position, a small amount of wash water to enter, the inclusion of the gangue, even with the body wash into the tailings and sludge tank (the machine is not set in the mine shafts) to concentrate to improve the quality of purposes. When the sorting room to the location of the magnetic field is weak (the concentrate rinse area), is injected into the pressure of water, will suck in the teeth of a weak magnetic board mineral particles into the concentrate tank.
Mineralization above the bottom of the coal particles will not cycle through the suction hole and once again mixed, mineralization and separation. Impeller tank bottom is not part of the pulp, the pulp through a buried mine in the box under the slot into the second chamber, the first room to complete the whole process, the third room, flotation machine again and again, the pulp through the last tailings discharged into the tank room final tailings.
Flotation machine Description
Floating concentrator flotation machine is short. In the flotation machine, pharmaceutical treatment by adding the slurry, by stirring inflation, which some mineral particles to selectively fixed in the bubble above; float to the surface to be scraped off a bubble slurry product, the rest remain in the pulp, in order to achieve the purpose of separation of minerals. Flotation structure in many forms, most commonly used mechanical flotation machine.
This is the eleventh piece of a 14-part series, utilizing the 14 statues featured on the two quarter-round colonnades of Hősök tere/Heroes' Square Millenium Memorial. Since all of the protagonists are major and significant figures in the history of Hungary, some Budapest streets are named after them here and there. The primary aim of this series is not to introduce the statues or characters (all are commonplaces frequently featured in touristic photoguides), but roads, squares and public spaces bearing their names.
Kossuth Lajos utca is a relatively short, though highly significant section of the main east-west street of the city, between Ferenciek tere and Astoria crosspoint, changing to Rákóczi út leaving Astoria, but unlike that, all of it belongs to the innermost district of Budapest. Kossuth Lajos street is always a heavy duty, frequently jammed spot of the city, and since it is packed with small shops on both sides, also a favorized destination of pedestrians. One of the favourite venues of my childhood, a cinema named after the Russian poet, Pushkin, though converted into a modern cultural complex, still exists there; the other fav, Úttörő Department Store (meaning "pioneer") has been demolished since then. - The second choice is Kossuth Lajos tér in front of the building of Hungarian Parliament, as a matter of fact the Parliament Square of Budapest. - Further 17 streets/roads/squares are named after Kossuth Lajos throughout the city.
This is the day, 15th of March, a national holiday, anniversary of the overture of the 1848/49 Revolution & War of Independence I must upload him, though Kossuth (1802-1894) didn't play an important role on the actual day. As a lawyer and journalist, and later a politician, he was among the spiritual forerunners of the revolution, and as an active politician from the March of 1848, an extraordinary orator and talented agitator he held significant positions in subsequent times of the war of independence against the Habsburg rule. He was the Minister of Finance in the first responsible Hungarian government, President of Committee of National Defence (from the autumn of 1848, actually the leader of the country). On 14th April 1849 he was elected as regent/governor of the country by the Debrecen diet (a governor like János Hunyadi 300 years before), and issued the Hungarian Declaration of Independence at the same time. After the fall of the revolution he fled to Turkey first (a fate he shared with Rákóczi), and spent the rest of his life in immigration, the most in Torino, Italy; he was becoming a respected national hero who died far from his home-land; a carreer not so rare in modern Hungarian history. His legend has grown large even during his lifetime; and still is high in contemporary Hungary.
The story of this statue is the most interesting among the pieces of Millenium Monument statuary, since it replaces a statue (or rather two) of Emperor Franz Joseph, his fiercest political enemy and final defeater. The very first statue of the Emperor, designed by Richárd Füredi, was erected in 1905 (and inaugurated by the Emperor himself); this had been destroyed in 1919, and was replaced by a new statue made by György Zala and re-erected in 1929. In the fifties the statue of Franz Joseph was removed again, and since 1955 this one sculpted by Zsigmond Kisfaludi Strobl is being displayed there.

This is the Gospel of Mark. Not any "Gospel according to Mark" but the first original manuscript that Mark actually wrote back in the year 70AD when the Jewish War was raging, and the Roman under the command of Titus had just devastated the Second Temple in Jerusalem and in the process kick started the Jewish Diaspora. St Paul had been executed in Rome 2 years back. This is literally an eye-witness account of Jesus's life and all the narratives described in the bible. Mark's Gospel is by and large the earliest of the 4 Gospels of the new testament that was written in view of his stylistic and theological writings. This is the time when Christianity is still in its infancy embryonic stage.
According to a reliable ancient Q source (2-source hypothesis, synoptic problem), Mark initially intended to have it written in Aramaic which Jesus spoke in his sermons during his ministry. However, he changes his mind at the last minute and writes in Greek instead, in order to reach out to the majority Greek speaking gentiles in Asia Minor and around the Mediterranean region. Unlike the earliest known fragmentary Gospel of Mark in existence which dates to the third century AD, this one is a near complete first century AD document. The exact date of completion of the book was clearly inscribed along with Mark's autograph in chapter 23:04. This manuscript contained the original resurrection narrative beyond Mark 16:8 of the canonical bible. (16:9-20 extract material from later Gospel tradition in Matthew/Luke/John as well as embellishments from medieval scribes)
It is a highly sought-after ancient Christian scripture that was presumably lost for 2000 years. Scholars all over the world have been desperately looking for it since antiquity but failed.
This is the first Gospel from which all other Gospels are based on, including the canonical Gospels of Matthew, Luke/Act and John which form the essential part of the New Testament of 27books.
The only biblical authoritative scriptures that predate it are the epistles of Paul which he wrote some 2 decades earlier. However, Paul (formerly Saul) does not describe the life of Jesus, he only accounts for his death, resurrection and his divine teachings. The reason why Paul is not interested in the historical flesh and blood Jesus is because that was associated with Judaism in which Jesus was believed to be the Messiah. He came to earth to liberate the Jewish people. However, his messianic activities caught the attention of the Roman authorities which viewed him as a political agitator. He was arrested charged with political subversion and subsequently crucified. (the gospels however were written in such a way as to discount any Romans involvement, the Jews were the ones that were responsible for Jesus death instead) For Judaism, once the Messiah is killed, that signal the end of his potentials. The leader is gone forever as Jews don't believe Jesus would return as a divine figure continuing in his fight for liberation as nobody is divine in Judaism. Paul wanted to drive on his notion with the historical failure in leadership is utterly wipe out and create a brand new theology which put Jesus as a divine figure. Paul is not a disciple of Jesus during his lifetime. In fact Paul is a prosecutor of the early followers of Jesus's movement. (known as The Way and subsequently evolved into a religious movement known as Ebionites)
Paul became a believer after his visionary encounter with Jesus during his journey to Damascus to arrest Jesus followers shortly after Jesus' crucifixion. To him, the divine Jesus provides him with the best and the most accurate information from heaven than the historical earthy Jesus which is sometimes hard to understand. Therefore, he should be the one to convey Jesus's teaching and not his close disciples. Inarguably, besides Jesus himself Paul (despite not knowing Jesus in person) is the most important figure in the foundation of proto-orthodoxy which eventually evolved into the present day Christianity. His contributions, religious conviction and bearing is phenomenal. The images we see today about Jesus, from Hollywood movies to Renaissance paintings are drawn from the 4 gospels which above all, Paul's idea. We do not know how Jesus looks like, let alone his biography. That's simply we do not have any written records from the people who knew him well and the early church, such as the Jerusalem Church which James, the brother of Jesus took over after Jesus' passing.
Mark's manuscript is of paramount significance to biblical scholars which specialize in the field of textual criticism. The writings of this gospel would provide the foundation to gauge the accuracy of the rest of the scriptures. We could then make very accurate comparisons and correct much of the known textual discrepancies and variants found in our existing collection of ancient manuscripts numbering in the thousands. (Greek - 5800, Latin - >10,000 and >9000 various other ancient languages such as Syriac, Slavic, Gothic, Ethiopic, Coptic and Armenian.) The numbers would grow as new discoveries are made. (ie the Nag Hammadi library which a series of gnostic gospels dated to the first half of the second century have been discovered in 1945 in Egypt. Among which is the Gospel of Thomas, written in Coptic. It contains 114 sayings of Jesus. Some which are not found in the canonical gospels. According to Thomas (twin brother of Jesus Didymus Judas Thomas ), there is no virgin birth and salvation does not come in the form of resurrection but rather through the deep understanding of the secret teachings of Jesus himself (it says "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death." However, for obvious reasons, nobody understood a single word he said as nobody remains alive since then). Nevertheless, it has provided a refreshing insight to the still-evolving teaching of Christ practice by the numerous sects of early Christianity. One of these Judeo-Christian sect which do not believe in the resurrected Christ fabricated the twin story. The paradox provided a framework for their crucified messiah to continue fighting for liberation for their followers.
We knew a fair bit about the gnostic gospels from the works of Christian historian Eusebius in the fourth century.. He was a compelling opponent to the non-orthodox teachings. In his works he mentioned the gospel of Thomas, gospel of Philip etc. It is not until the modern times that we get to see the actual copy of these non-canonical works thru' archeological discoveries. Incidentally, the gnostic works are certainly not composed by the apostles of Jesus as it was claimed. They are dated to the late second and third century. All of the apostles are long gone already.
There are numerous debates on the accuracy of the Bible relating to the transmission process which resulted in the contradiction of texts being found. However, the concept is crystal clear, if one takes it as a book of faith there is absolutely no reason to doubt its authenticity. Since it is an authoritative scripture, it is God's true words regardless.
However, in the quest for historical knowledge it's desirable to seek hard evidence to account for the narratives which invariably put us in a collision course with theological ideologies.
The answer is simple, there is not a single shred of archaeological remains ever found relating to any of the bible narratives. Except for the discovery of Pilate Stone in 1961 which confirms the existence of one of the major actors in the trial narrative (Jesus judge, Pontivs Pilativs) That though, does not historically proved that the trial actually took place as described in all of the 4 gospels or Jesus actually existed. Ironically, that also does not mean any of the biblical events did not take place.
In fact, very few would leave behind an archeological trail for people to uncover thousands of years later.
All cross reference to the major characters and events in the bible came from implicit and sometimes controversial writings by ancient historians such as Josephus, Tacitus etc.. All being said, we don't need any sort of contemporary evidence for the bible, which is regarded as a "certified true copy" from God.
But the bottom line is that the bible is written by a long line of fallible human scribes and not solely by God himself. Invariably, there are mistakes made, lots of them. Humans have evolved to be imperfect and particularly have an inherent natural talent of lying through the teeth to fulfil polysized theological ideas and political agendas.
The arguments go on and on and probably would, for another 2 thousand years.
Perhaps God wants to keep it that way to make things interesting for us. He has no desire to reveal his plan just yet.
Fact : The bible shown above is dated 1938AD. (Jenny's hand, though, is not:) ) so it's just a couple of decades old instead of 2000 years old. The 4 Gospels (Mark, Matthew, Luke and John In order of the sequence in which they are written) of the New Testaments are in fact anonymous. The true authors remain unknown to this day (wish I know who wrote them). They are assigned with the names as we know today sometimes in the second century AD by Apostolic church fathers. One hypothesis suggests that each of the Gospel is not written by one single person and instead is composed by a collection of documents written by a community of people. That is to say eg the Gospel of Mark is written by a community of people that knew Mark who is their leader and decisively write down his teachings and thoughts over a period of time. The same formula is applied to the rest of the Gospels.
Why 4 Gospels instead of other numbers? By theological reasoning, Christians believe in the 4 corners of the Earth and that would be the most plausible outcome. The book of Acts is neatly separated from the Gospel of Luke (same author) to form a separate book by itself.
Why Mark, Matthew, Luke and John and not somebody else?
Well, by reasonable means, we know that Peter and Paul are the original founders of Christianity in Rome. Peter is said to be the Apostle to the Jews and Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles.
Both wanted a fair share of the pie. Matthew (tax collector) and John(son of Zebedee) are believed to be the close followers of Jesus. Mark was said to be the disciple of Peter and Luke was a disciple and also a personal physician of Paul. So now we have 2 close followers of Jesus and 2 close followers of Jesus followers. Voila ! now we have the 4 names, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John. That is the most probable reason to how the names came to be associated with the Gospels that we know today.
The gospel narrative, though, is either fictitious or partially hypothesized with available information gathered from various sources. For most part of the writings however, is based on my personal understanding of various published articles currently in circulation and partly from my own imaginations.
Side dish :
Have you ever wondered what BC and AD stand for? These 2 terms are indispensable when it comes to establishing historical timeline or merely describing an historical event. I use them all the time. BC is Before Christ and AD is Anno Domini (year of our Lord). The idea was devised by a Christian monk named Dionysius Exiguus in the 6th century AD to standardise how we record time so that Easter celebration can be synchronised all over the Roman empire. Before that, people were using different time measurements based on certain important dates. The Greeks used the year 776 BC (first Olympic game) while the Roman used 753 BC (the founding of their city) as their baseline. That led to confusion in historical dates recording and misjudgement of the calendar. In addition, and most importantly, the minute inconsistency in the natural celestial movement of the earth resulted in a compounded error in the calendar which shows up over a long period of time. The idea is to use the birth of Jesus as the standard baseline. Therefore 1 AD means 1 year after Jesus was born and 1BC indicates 1 year before Jesus was born. Jesus was conceptually born in 0BC even though the concept of 0 did not exist in Roman numerals. Despite that, our calendar had been adjusted a couple of times over the last 2000 years due to the described astronomical phenomenon. Nonetheless, the solution had provided us with a nice fix to a range of major date-related problems.
This system was accepted and used for more than 1500 years until scholars discovered a major flaw. According to the New Testament Documents, Jesus was born just before Herod the Great died. Herod died in 4BC based on rock solid historical records so Jesus (unfortunately we have no historical records of any kind or any collaborative evidence of his birth, everything we know about him came from the Christian Bible) have to be born in around 6BC because the Bible mentioned that Herod ordered all baby boys up to 2 years of age to be killed out of fear that his kingly position would be threaten. (the evaluation is based on the account given in Matthew’s Gospel. However, Luke’s account would lead us to another set of dates which falls on 6AD. Nonetheless, such discrepancies would be logically accepted (at least by myself) due to the fact that the Gospels were written decades after Jesus. The accounts were not straight history, they were written from a theological standpoint. Therefore the exact dates do not really matter)
As such, it would be confusing to explain Jesus was born 6 years Before Christ (ie born 6 years before he was born). In order to get around the confusion, BC was changed to BCE- Before Common Era and AD became CE-Common Era. In that case, the terms Before Christ/Anno Domini could then be removed from the equation along with the confusion. Another important point to take note is that all Christian elements (Before Christ, year of our Lord) can be safely jettisoned from the context to evade potential religious bias.
In a nutshell, the year remains the same only BC is now BCE and AD is now CE.
eg The Roman dictator, Julia Cesar was stabbed to death in 44BC, which is 44BCE. Tiberius Caesar Augustus, the second Roman emperor died in 37AD, is now 37CE.
Which year Jesus was born
Over the decades, scholars have been debating exactly when Jesus was born. However, there is no definitive answer for it. The date would depend on which camp you’re in. From a religious standpoint, he has to be born in the year '0' in the current context. After all, our calendar is based on the idea of Jesus’ Birth. However, there is no such thing as ‘0’ year as it was not invented just yet. In Roman context, the year 1BC would follow by 1AD, which denote Before Christ and Anno Domini respectively. The calendar system was conceptualized in the 6th century CE and it’s known to have a discrepancy of a couple of years. As we now realize, Jesus was most likely born in the BC period. Which also means Jesus was born before he was born. That becomes a thorny issue. To reconcile that, the term BC is changed to BCE (before common era) and AD changed to CE(common era). Another advantage of this naming convention is that by doing so, it removes the Christian element (Christ) from the equation thus making it more neutral, avoiding any religious misinterpretation. In fact, the Jews have been using the dating system for a while already.
Well, now if we look at it through the lens of History, things get far more complex but nevertheless interesting.
Everything we know about Jesus came from the Gospels. However, the Birth narrative is only found in Matthew and Luke Gospels. Ironically, there are contradictions on the dates as we soon see.
In order to draw any reasonable conclusion, we first must have some insights as to what actually happened during this particular time frame in the region. Let’s see what history has to offer and use the data to establish a timeline upon which we'll superimpose the Gospel dates and try to make sense out of it.
In 63BCE, Roman Legions led by General Pompey captured Palestine and renamed it Judea. At that point in time, Rome was not yet an empire, it was still a republic dominated by 3 Roman leaders battling for power. Namely, Pompey, Crassus and Julius Caesar. Crassus was killed in action in 53BCE (good for the other 2 guys) which leaves Pompey to battle it out with Julius Caesar. Pompey was assassinated in 48BCE (good news for Caesar)
Caesar then became the sole ruler (dictator) of Rome. However, the celebration didn’t last long. In 44BCE he was in turn assassinated. Caesar’s adopted Son Octavian took over power but he was not alone. Another 2 guys also wanted to have a share of the pie. Namely Lepidus and Mark Anthony (Queen Cleopatra’s lover). In 36BCE, Lepidus fell out of power leaving Mark Anthony and Octavian to battle it out. Octavian defeated Mark Anthony in the famous sea battle at Actium in 31BCE sending Mark and Cleopatra to Heaven.
In 27BCE, Octavian declared himself the First Emperor of Rome (Augustus) and Rome became an Empire. His reign lasted for 40 years dying in 14CE. He was then succeeded by his adopted son Tiberius who reigned for 22 years dying in 37CE. These are well attested, undisputed historical dates. We can then use them as reference points for our chronology.
After Pompey captured Jerusalem, he put Hyrcanus (local Jewish ruler) in charge. Later, Mark Anthony installed Herod the Great as King of the Jews and ruled Jerusalem from 37BCE. This is verified by references found in Josephus' works as well as Roman records. Josephus also mentioned that Herold’s conquest of Jerusalem was 27 years after Pompey’s conquest of Jerusalem. That helps to pinpoint the date to be 37BCE as well. This particular year is crucial for calculating Jesus’ birth.
Josephus states that Herold dies 34 years after conquering Jerusalem which brings us to 4BCE. He also mentioned Herod died during the Passover season and shortly after a lunar eclipse. That date is confirmed with astronomical reference as the only lunar eclipse that had occurred around that time period. Josephus was spot-on.
After the passing of Herod, one of his sons named Archelaus continued to rule the area. However, he fell out of favor with Augustus and eventually was deposed in 6CE. From then on, Judea was no longer ruled by local Jewish kings and instead by Roman governors/prefect. The first 4 are relatively unknown in history but the fifth one had made his way into the greatest story ever told. His name is Pontius Pilate, the man mentioned in the Bible that sent Jesus to the cross. He governed from 26CE to 36CE, one year before Emperor Tiberius Died.
Now we turn our attention back to the Bible. The Birth narrative is only mentioned in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. First let’s look at what Matthew has to say. According to Matthew, Jesus was born in Bethlehem during when Herod the Great was king. So, Jesus must have been born before the year 4BCE because this was when Herod died. After Jesus is born, some wise men(Magi) from the east visit Herod and tell him that they have come to worship a newly born king of the Jews. Herod told them to look for them in Bethlehem and report back to him of the exact location after they've found the child on the pretext that he too wishes to worship the new king. However, the Magi head straight home after they found the little Jesus. Herod was mad after learning that he was tricked and became paranoid thinking that his throne is threatened and ordered all male children 2 years old or younger to be killed. Jesus and his parents then escaped to Egypt. Herod dies shortly. After which, his son Archelaus takes over. Jesus and his parents then return to Nazareth.
Ironically, Matthew doesn’t tell us how much time passed between the birth of Jesus and the visit from the wise men. Herod ordered all male children 2 years old or younger to be killed, so the assumption that it could have been as much as 2 years. Which means the typical nativity scene (showing 3 Magi) is just an embellishment to the birth story. According to Matthew's narrative, there's no mention of the number of wise men and almost certainly no wise men were present at the time of Jesus’ birth.
Retrospectively, Jesus must be born between 4BCE and 6BCE.
According to Luke, Jesus was born during a time when Quirinus was the governor of Syria and during a census. According to Roman historical data, both info from Luke’s Gospel were credible enough. There was indeed a man called Quirinus. He was the governor of Syria at that time. So, when Augustus deposed Archelaus in 6CE, he sent Quirinus over from nearby Syria (Syria was already a Roman province) to conduct a census for taxation purposes. However, it was not a census for the entire empire and neither did it require people to return to their hometown as mentioned in Luke’s narrative. In Luke's account, no wise men are mentioned.
So, according to Matthew, Jesus was born before the year 4BCE (according to most scholars, Jesus was born in 6BCE.) but according to Luke, Jesus was born sometime around 6CE. How do we reconcile such contradictions? In my opinion, we can't and we don’t need to.
To me, the main point is that the Bible is written to make theological points and not to record literal history. Secondly, the Gospels were written by different individuals in different parts of the Roman empire decades after Jesus’ death. Their writings were based largely on a chain of oral traditions transmitted over a period of time and to some extent influenced by the local culture, belief and literature. Even though the Bible is an authoritative text inspired by God supposedly true in every word, it has come to be written by human scribes. Inevitably, there are discrepancies simply because humans do make mistakes and on top of that, their writings are governed by a string of political and religious influences and motivations.

Extracts from the Gospels :
Matthew 2:1–23
The Visit of the Wise Men
2 Now hafter Jesus was born in iBethlehem of Judea jin the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men1 from kthe east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born lking of the Jews? For we saw mhis star when it rose2 and have come to nworship him.” 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; 4 and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where othe Christ was to be born. 5 They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
6 p“ ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for from you shall come a ruler
who will qshepherd my people Israel.’ ”
7 Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” 9 After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, rthey offered him gifts, sgold and tfrankincense and umyrrh. 12 And vbeing warned win a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.
The Flight to Egypt
13 Now when they had departed, behold, xan angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” 14 And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egypt 15 and remained there until the death of Herod. yThis was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, z“Out of Egypt I called my son.”
Herod Kills the Children
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. 17 aThen was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:
18 b“A voice was heard in Ramah,
weeping and loud lamentation,
Rachel weeping for her children;
she refused to be comforted, because they care no more.”
The Return to Nazareth
19 But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for dthose who sought the child’s life are dead.” 21 And he rose and took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and ebeing warned in a dream he withdrew to the district of Galilee. 23 And he went and lived in a city called fNazareth, gso that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, that he would be called a Nazarene.
LUKE 2:1-20
The Birth of Jesus
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.
2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)
3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,
18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
My interpretation on John 8 : 1-11 adulterous woman
Jesus wrote on the ground
Probably read as :
I knew you guys committed the adultery with the woman(you guys should be stoned to death too)
Jesus then said to the priests
Whoever did not commit any sin cast the first stone and they all ran away as fast as their legs could carry them.
Jesus then turned to the woman and tell her not to sin again.
If Jesus said go ahead and stone her he violate his own teachings (forgiveness)
If he let her go he violate the Torah

Poster in the Conference Room [?]. I believe it details the Duties of the "Agitator", probably means Political Officer.
After supper Jesus goes to pray in the garden of Gethsemane, where Judas Iscariot - the traitor among the disciples - brings his enemies to arrest him. The Temple priests charge him with blasphemy and demand that the Romans, the civil authorities, put him to death. With some reluctance, Pontius Pilate condemns him to crucifixion - a barbarous form of Roman execution reserved for agitators, pirates, and slaves.

02-17-1975, Hamilton, ON. Drafted round 1 #9 overall by Dallas Stars 1993. Todd Douglas Ross Harvey is a former professional ice hockey forward. He was selected in the first round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, 9th overall, by the Dallas Stars, following a successful junior career, which included being the captain of the Canadian team at the World Junior Hockey Championships. Harvey grew up in the small town of Sheffield, Ontario and played his minor hockey for the Beverly Bandits of the OMHA before playing Jr.B. hockey at age 14 for the Cambridge Winterhawks. He spent two seasons playing Jr.B. in the OHA before being selected 1st overall in the 1991 OHL Priority Selection by the Detroit Jr. Red Wings of the OHL. Although a first round selection, Harvey was never able to live up to the offensive expectations that accompanied his draft position. His intense style of hockey and smallish frame lead to numerous injuries, and after three seasons in Dallas, and a brief stint with the New York Rangers, Harvey was dealt to the San Jose Sharks, where he played a key role as a checking forward and an agitator. In his fifth season with the Sharks, Harvey was sent to the minors, and allowed to leave as a free agent. Harvey signed with the Edmonton Oilers just prior to the NHL lockout, and joined the team when the lockout ended. Harvey was part of the cinderella Edmonton Oiler team that made a run to the Stanley Cup Finals. However, the Oilers lost in game 7 of the finals to the Carolina Hurricanes. Harvey had 1 goal and 1 assist in the 2006 Playoffs. After that amazing cup run, Harvey was bought out for the rest of his contract along with backup goaltender Ty Conklin. Unlike Conklin, Harvey was unable to find a new team in the off-season. 2 more seasons in the MHL with the Dundas Real McCoys followed, before he retired at the end of the 2007/08 season. Harvey hired as an Assistant Coach for the Guelph Storm for the 2013/14 season. Todd Harvey was an Amateur Scout for the Vancouver Canucks between 2017/18 and 2020/21 and became the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Canucks in the 2021/22 season. His NHL-Stats: GP:739 / G:94 / A:138 / Pts:232 / PIM:1002. His Career-Stats: GP:1108 / G:338 / A:435 / Pts:773 / PIM:1949 (1989/90 – 2007/08).
