Can't Handle My Affection

Photos from the 2014 Haight St. Music and Merchants Street Festival.

I was more interested in textures, expressions, and atmosphere than in documenting the event in any sort of narrative way. For many of these photos, I dialed in settings to my camera, chose a distance to focus, and shot from the hip, shoulder, above my head, etc without looking through the viewfinder or knowing in advance what the camera might capture.
