PENNY is a lovely Cattledog mix who’s a little under one year old. She’s a rather sensitive, submissive young dog, but she’s very people-focused, and will blossom with kind handling and training. She does well with other dogs. Penny will be an adorable family companion.
Penny lives in kennel 30.

Isn't she beautiful? This is the cat that someone dumped near my co-workers home and I took in her and her 3 kittens. Going to get them adopted. But look at her! And her personality is just as sweet. She's loving, affectionate, playful and will let anyone hold her and pet her. I don't think she'll be hard to find a home for. I don't understand how someone would abandon a cat like this. Maybe she ran away from home. We'll never know for sure.

Who knew that some dogs have to learn to cuddle?
From day one, Lollie Wonderdog was full of love and energy. But she had no idea how to express herself or direct her excitement. Her main forms of expression were a trotting pace around the house or yard, back and forth, back and forth; and a constantly flapping tongue—licking the air, but always pointed in the general direction of your face. Come to think of it, I should post a video of this phenomenon.
A few weeks have passed now, and we have taught Lollie to redirect some of her energy into productive things, like going for walks, solving treat-filled puzzles (kongs, Gatorade bottles, etc), and learning new commands. (Have I mentioned what a fast learner she is? It’s amazing how quickly she picks up new things.) But until a few days ago, she still didn’t know how to express affection.
You can imagine that my heart dissolved into a little puddle of goo the other night when she quietly walked over and plopped her 55 pounds of pure muscle into my lap, and rested her sweet face against my chest. As my hands stroked her still-skinny side and her mystery-scarred face, she slowly closed her eyes, looking oh-so-content.
I swear, this dog could melt anyone’s heart.

MALLORY is a lovely Lab/Pit mix who’s 2-3 years old. She was quite anxious and submissive, and suffering from severe skin issues when she first arrived at the shelter, but with medication, good diet and loving care, she’s proved to be a friendly, gentle, very endearing girl who enjoys people and attention :-)
Though she can be a little unsure of other dogs at first, she warms up quickly and becomes quite playful.
Mallory will blossom in a kind, calm home.
Mallory lives in Kennel 41.

Hi, I'm Flip Flop and I'm a crazy, happy little Westie girl! I love to play with other dogs, but I'll take a little of my playtime to interact with you, too! If you meet me, you'll notice I walk a little differently than most dogs because I have a neurological condition called cerebellar Abiotrophy. Basically, my brain and my feet don't communicate perfectly, so I can't really walk in a straight line and sometimes I flop and fall over (which is, I guess, where my name comes from). But don't let that fool you! I have adapted extremely well and get around just fine. Technically, we had to check the "special needs" box on the profile, but it's just so you're aware I'm a little different. I've got lots of puppy energy and LOVE to play with other dogs, but you'll have to keep an eye on me. My condition doesn't slow me down at all, but when I'm worn out, you'll know it! I'm looking for a home that's ready for my puppy energy to invade it! Are you up for becoming my forever home?

These little guys are looking for loving families who’ll give them lots of attention and playtime, and take them to puppy class.
They live in kennel P10.

I rescued this kitten a couple weeks ago from a farm.
Update:
I took this close up of him this afternoon. He looks frail to me and still has watery eyes.
The gal fostering him says he's eating and playing well.....but does need to gain weight and is not 100% yet. I went to see him at "PetsMart" this afternoon. She takes all her kittens there every Weds from noon to 4pm. If anyone in my area is looking for a new kitten...please go there and take a look. Much nicer environment there than our local shelter.

In case anyone was wondering, It's especially hard to photograph a deaf dog, who has no food motivation. But I nailed it, and I adore her.
This is Shelby in Fort Worth, Texas. A very, very special gal. She's deaf, young adult, spayed, and wonderful. She's like a freight train, in the good way, and someone wanting a challenge to train will appreciate this stunning gal. As soon as she figured out what it was I was after during her photo session she gave me her all. No interest in food, and she couldn't hear praise, but she worked her crystal blue eyes and adorable Pit Bull grin for my smile, and some pats. She is a very special girl, and needs her very special forever home! Contact PJ's Place to adopt this lovely gal!
Please SHARE Shelby, to spread her far and wide in hopes she finds her forever home as special as she is, soon!
