Quincy is a precious little punk, dubbed the cutest kitten in his feral colony by the folks who contacted the Homeless Cat Network on his behalf. He's a cap and saddle grey and white bicolor, with a precious little splotch on his nose, and big polka dots one his front legs and his belly. He's kinda skittish about being picked up, but loves snuggling into my rack. He's only about 2.5 months old, has already been neutered and microchipped, and had his first set of shots. He'll be available for adoption soon.
Taz provides himself (and me) with ten minutes of free entertainment.

Hi there! My name is Jefferson. I was running the streets when a Paw'd Squad volunteer found me with this rope tied around my neck. She started crying when she saw my burned back and got me up to Paw'd Squad headquarters right away. I really don't understand why someone tried to burn me. Maybe they didn't like me because I'm cross- eyed. Now don't get me wrong, I can see real good. It's just a little hard to focus sometimes so if you throw a ball, I'll run after it I just might not see where it lands right away BUT I PROMISE I WILL FIND IT AND BRING IT BACK TO YOU. I love other dogs and car rides and people and I LOVE TO BABYSIT PUPPIES. I am GREAT with puppies! So if you would like to give me a permanent home, please contact the Paw'd Squad at pawdsquad@yahoo.com.
Stopped by PetsMart to play with the Forgotten 4-Paws cats... They're a no-kill organization whose focus is sterilizing animals to reduce the number of 'unwanted' cats and dogs on the streets. They're devoted to finding foster homes for cats of all ages. Check 'em out!
Poor Pepper, his family abandoned him after 4 years! He hated the crate at adoptions, barking non stop. Out of his crate, he was a totally different dog- sweet, affectionate, great eye contact, lots of licks. What a sweet boy! He loves kids and other dogs too! What a great dog.
Poor Grey Goose looks shockingly comical when you first see him because his rear end is completely shaved, giving him a poodleish appearance. He recently had surgery on both hips I believe. But he's very playful and after a bit of playtime, he crawled into my lap and made himself at home. That's how his stay at WARL ended, as his adoptive mom then came in and brought him to his new home.
In case anyone was wondering, It's especially hard to photograph a deaf dog, who has no food motivation. But I nailed it, and I adore her.
This is Shelby in Fort Worth, Texas. A very, very special gal. She's deaf, young adult, spayed, and wonderful. She's like a freight train, in the good way, and someone wanting a challenge to train will appreciate this stunning gal. As soon as she figured out what it was I was after during her photo session she gave me her all. No interest in food, and she couldn't hear praise, but she worked her crystal blue eyes and adorable Pit Bull grin for my smile, and some pats. She is a very special girl, and needs her very special forever home! Contact PJ's Place to adopt this lovely gal!
Please SHARE Shelby, to spread her far and wide in hopes she finds her forever home as special as she is, soon!

My sister is a veterinarian in San Francisco. The other day a couple came in with this cat to be euthanized because she wasn't using the litter box. (A death sentence for not being potty trained which was probably their fault anyway.)
The vet clinic kept her instead and is hoping to find her a new home. They have had her for a week and they say that she has had no problems using the litter box regularly. They say she has a sweet and affectionate disposition and is used to being a single cat.
I can't take her, because my husband is suddenly immune to my doe eyes, but maybe you or someone you know can.
Meet Turbo, a wonderful Bull Terrier mix, who gets along great with other dogs, and definitely knows his place in his foster home within his temporary pack. He is living with 3 dogs and 6 cats. He gets along with all of them, He walks fine on a leash, and is housetrained. He was found near the side of the freeway and our volunteer took him home instead of to the local shelter where he would surely have been euthanized. She is showing him at our Petco adoption site on Saturdays. Please consider adopting Turbo this great little guy! This adorable redhead is Hammie, and he's at the Humane Society of Missouri . He's a tri-color Beagle, and he came to Humane Society as an injured stray, probably hit by a car.
Now that he's better, he has lots of energy, and he's interested in the whole world. His back is about mid-shin high, and he has soft, floppy ears, and his tail's always wagging.
Hammie would love to find his forever home with you.
Hammie's official HSMO page (with video!)
Please contact the shelter directly for availability, hours, etc. I'm just a volunteer.
Update: Yay! Hammie got adopted on July 5th!
