More photos of my foster kitties Joey and Phoebe, now 10 months old and small for their age. Not going to get much bigger!!
Joey and Phoebe are still looking for their forever Mommy and Daddy!!
If you know places to post about them, do let me know. We are in Wichita, Kansas.
They were playing with a piece of paper that originally said 50% Off! Now it looks like Off as in Joey get off my back! lol But really he was leaning on the side of the chair.
This photo has a story. Phoebe was taking a nap on the chair in the living room and Joey had gone into the bedroom to nap. When I saw that Joey wasn't with Phoebe, I went looking for him and found him on the bed.
I asked Joey, "What are you doing alone? You always nap with your sister, Phoebe." Then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Well smart little Joey jumped off the bed, found Phoebe and went to sleep with her!!
They are pair bonded and Joey loves his sister very much. He cuddled up with her after she had her spay surgery until she felt better.

Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything that is is - a kitten pile waiting for adoption
I think of the cats at the shelter I volunteer as my own. This cuties is dreaming of future kitty treats and head scratches
Stopped by the local animal rescue shelter to get a few quick photos of the new guy, Gus. He's as sweet as he is handsome! :)
I am still working on catching up with my visiting so my apologies if I haven't stopped by just yet but I will! :)
Its a rare occasion that I post work pictures but since this shoot was a gift and... so much fun, I figured I could get away with it. Besides, its #caturday!
Caught in the Act! Joey was giving himself a bath when I caught this photo!
Little Joey 8 months old is looking for his fur-ever home with his sister Phoebe. Born June 29, 2023.
This is one of our current foster puppies. Her name is Mindy and she is 3.5 weeks old. Her mother was hit by a car and a litter of 9 was left orphaned. 9 bottles babies is too much for one semi sane foster family, so the litter was divided up. We took in three puppies.
They are shepherd mixes. They are expected to be in the 50lb range. Can you imagine?! So tiny right now. So snuggly and sweet too.
Don't you think Penn Racquet should hire her as an ad model?
ETA: Wow, thanks everyone! I'm trying to find the time to check out all your photstreams, but it might have to wait until the puppies are needing less care. I'm getting very little sleep and am basically delirious at this point.
Made it to #9 on Explore, and it hit cuteoverload too!
At least the family who adopts her will have an adorable baby photo of her. :)
Please check out a great photo of all three of them.
This puppy (now named Mindy) and her two siblings that we were raising, have all been adopted now. The rescue always has other animals that need support, fostering and forever homes. actvrescue.org/
This Pit-Sharpei mix was looking for a new family to adopt him at the HonFest in Baltimore, Maryland, this past weekend. He seemed like a very happy dog and could not wait to be taken home. Hopefully, he will find a family at the end of the festival!
Thanks to Elie for pointing him out to me. I used my Lensbaby Composer lens for this shot.
This puppy has made it to Explore 27 March (Highest Position #2 on March 29).
Thanks everyone for your support, I really appreciate them all :)

Sleeping soundly
Peed for me, but does not want the bottle....
Daisy is about 1 year old and a shepherd / terrier mix.
She's very calm and friendly and just teeny tiny :)
Guardian is so sweet and shy and just like Tipper LOVES the squeaky toys. So please...squeaky toy gifts accepted to Old dogs at Best friends. haha!
He is also available for adoption for Sponsor!
This cutie is looking for a home. An entire litter of stray puppies was rescued by one of Jeff's family friends. If you live in Houston and are interested in giving this little one a loving home, you can contact me, and I'll forward the information to Jeff. Or you can contact him directly through his flickr account. He'll be posting additional photos here.
Brit is a 1 to 2 and a half-year-old Boston Terrier. We are fostering her until her forever home can be found.
Having been raised in a puppy mill and has already had 2 litters she has started out her life on the hard side. But we are spoiling her while teaching her the do's and do not's of dog/human relationships.
Brit (I named her after a character in a couple of Scott Myer's Magic 2.0 book series) is very well behaved, happy and can't wait to meet her new humans!
Part of my Tuesday's Are For The Dogs series
Well, I did it again. Spotted this 6 week old kitten the other day "living" w/ some older cats in a parking lot with no food or shelter.
I fed them and left..... but this little one haunted me the most. We've had days of rain and cool temps....so, I went and got him today.
He's at the vet.....had him checked out and vaccinated. He will stay there until Monday...then to my house until I can find someone to foster him.
I'm still on my "flickr break". Just wanted to show you what I've been up to.

There is something very special meeting and photographing Rescue Dogs. Some are a bit scared, some just over run you and want to play and have cuddles, some are a bit shy, but there is one thing they all have in common, they all have lots of Love to give.
This here is the amazing Zeus, which I met yesterday at the Rspca Blackberry Farm Animal centre. Zeus is a wonderful dog and this photos is just him, so pure and full of love. We don't know what breed he exactly, be we do know he is awesome. He is around 7 years old and he loves lots of fuss and attention and he loves to play and fetch or just to sit on a bench with you and see the world go by ...
For more info's about Zeus and his friends and how to adopt them, please check out the link www.bridgetdavey.com/rspca-blackberryfarm-adoptme

A couple times a year I donate my time and photography to the Animal Adoption Center here in Jackson, Wyoming. The AAC rescues critters from kill shelters and lately from natural disasters. These kittens came with 8 of their buddies from Houston after Hurricane Harvey.
The AAC staff work incredibly hard to shelter and find homes for these animals. It won't take long for these kittens to find homes but will take a little longer for the older cats to get adopted.
Next time you're looking for a new friend and member of the family remember... Adopt. Don't shop.
