The admin building was built inside a warehouse, sort of as a building within a building. A ladder could get you on top of it, yet still inside the warehouse.

Approximately 1250 people live and work at the base during summer. Most had packed up and left or were about to leave in the next few days. Only about 300 stay over winter.
Rosa’s Thai Cafe has now arrived in Victoria and they were kind enough to let Tasting Britain take a look ahead of the official launch (they are now open). Rosa’s origins can be traced back to 2006 and a small market stall in Brick Lane. Much progress has been made, as Rosa's now have permanent sites all over London - think Angel, Chelsea, Soho, Spitalfields, etc. This, their latest ‘Victorian’ site, is on the ground that recently hosted the Laos Cafe - which was, not coincidentally, run by Saiphin Moore, one of Rosa’s two founders. The other is Alex, Saiphin’s husband, who I assume does more admin and less kitchen (though I might be wrong?)
Rosa Victoria’s Interior design comes credit of Gundry&Ducker, who’ve turned the basement floor into ‘Saiphin’s Living Room’. Here you shall, supposedly, discover the kind of things you may find back in Saiphin's hometown of Khao Kor in Petchabun province (though hopefully they’re not still being forced to use mechanical typewriters etc). Here you shall also discover a few copies of her first book: Rosa’s Thai Café The Cookbook - which was released in 2015, and, I am told, went on to be an Amazon bestseller. I can’t say all that much about the food, only having had tried some canapés, but it has all the promise of a mouth expanding experience (lol).
