Each year a group of guys meet up on the Norfolk Broads to sail traditional gaff sloop yachts. This picture is one of a series, the rest can be found in the album:-www.flickr.com/photos/bruce82/albums/72177720308052419
There's been more bike commuting this summer than most years (yay!) but I've been neglecting the hardware, and noticed it was shifting a little oddly the last time out. F/2.8.
B&W vintage slides duped (duplicated) onto AristaII Ortho Litho film (5x7) developed in Ilford Multigrade 1+9 for 30-40seconds.
Printed the resulting negatives on Arches Platine paper in traditional cyanotype.
Lost a little bit of detail in the process but they came out better than I had hoped.
30 Second exposure, adjustments in photoshop included brightness, contrast and sharpening only. An odd overhead light to the entrance of one of the buildings on the SMU campus cast this color.
Thanks to Christine for encouraging me to shoot after dark.
Here is the technique I use to adjust my pano head to the no-parallax point. I first adjust my tripod head to a level comfortable for standing. Then find a marker to place on the ground below the tripod. In this case I used an orange wire nut. Then adjust as in the center image, so that the edge of base of the pano head aligns with the marker. Then pan up and down to the extremes of the field of view, making adjustments so that the marker will be at the edge of the base for all 3 locations.
More details in this discussion on Pano Head Alignment.

This was the first design for the micro adjust mechanism. After testing I decided to change the mounting of the bar coupler to the bronze shaft to improve tolerances and remove lateral slop.
I'm always adjusting, or moving, of fixing something. I have to do that a lot. I'm adjusting my Italian Horn here. Taken while sunbathing on my roof.
I adjusted the perspective of Palacio Salvo in Montevideo because the angle made it look like it was tilted back originally.
had a version of this shot in my stream but it was too purple and a bit unsharp. this one is much better although it's rather grainy. should have started reading this book on photoshop ages ago. oops... this is jane. she's a doctor in edinburgh and a friend from university.
